What an awesome place to camp. My wife just said we need to take our truck camper there. Hopefully, we will do just that. Safe travels and have a great week!
Excellent drone footage at an amazing place. I've seen a few You Tube videos on it, I feel yours shows it best. Definitely a bucket list destination. Enjoy your travels.
Thanks! While flying my Mavic Air 2 drone, I accidently broke the lever off my controller. I had to break out my old Mavic Air drone to film this. LOL It wasn't as good as my Air 2, but I think I got some decent shots with my old drone.
Wow! Such a beautiful place. I spent a little over 2 weeks camping in different areas out there in 2017. This is One of my favorite places on the planet. Thanks for bringing back beautiful memories for me. This was a real treat to watch that today on a cold rainy miserable day here in East Tennessee. Be safe out there Mark.
Excellent video, Mark. Just outstanding. I remember driving through Hwy 163 two years but didn't know about I could camp there. Thanks for the coordinates. I'll be there in a few weeks.
This is definitely on the BLM bucket list for me. Your drone shots really show the awesomeness and remoteness. A beautiful place to unplug, unwind and enjoy!
Hey loved your live feed from Moab! I will be a tour in the San Rafael Swell in early April, when that is over will be hanging around Escalante and other places I have never seen. Valley of Gods is one of my spots to visit.
Absolutely stunning footage! My wife & I got married in Sedona on May 10th 2021 and this brought back so many memories of being out there and traveling thru the west for a week. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing footage with us!
I was there for three nights. After day 1 the wind picked up and couldn't get to much drone footage in because of the high winds. I'll definitely be back there.
I've been there twice over the last 15 years ... both times I had to pay to get in at the "Toll Gate" run by the Navajo Band just before you get to the Hotel called "The View" ... stayed at the hotel once ... is there more than one way to enter ... there was even huge line of cars once just to pay for the access ...... ????
You are talking about Monument Valley that is ran by the Navajo Nation that is located on the Utah/Arizona border. This place is called the Valley of the Gods about 30 miles NE of Monument Valley in Utah. The Valley of the Gods is on BLM land and it's free to see and disperse camp on. The coordinates to this place is in this video description.
Interesting ... there must be more than one access because I also have driven and biked that same 17 mile road from the Navajo Road Access .... @@DispersedCamperMan
There was decent cell service first mile or so in. The further you went down Valley of God Road, the cell service was spotty. It use to be part of the Bears Ears National Monument, but reverted back to BLM under then President Donald Trump. Wikipedia - "On December 4, 2017, President Donald Trump issued a proclamation that reduced the area of Bears Ears National Monument, proclaimed by President Barack Obama on December 28, 2016, with new monument boundaries that exclude the Valley of the Gods. The area remains protected public land administered as an Area of Critical Environmental Concern and managed by the Bureau of Land Management, as it was before the monument designation."
@@trekfortruth2841 You bet. I was wanting to do Monument Valley, but you can't take your RV through the monument, and they don't allow motorcycles through the monument. So I passed on it. 😀
The valley of the gods is part of the restored bears ears national monument. 2O21 prez Biden restored the original prez Obama boundaries. Oct 8 2021 exe order. Does not affect dispersed camping in the area. Still managed by the BLM.
Drove through there about 4 and half years ago, saw a lot of people camping and it looked great but we were on the way to LA for a flight so we couldn't stay. Is the road any easier? We had a Ford Escape and it struggled a few times and we told someone in a car to turn back.
The road isn't to bad. I saw several cars driving on it. Do not try it after it has rained, the road gets really muddy. There is a switch back that can get tight and some steep washed. You just have to take it real slow if you want to drive the whole road.
@@DispersedCamperMan oh we did do the whole road it was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. Definitely some of it was washed out though. The dugway was amazing and I’m scared of heights 😂
i'm looking to do a motorcycle trip to that area in May 2025 and wanted to camp in that area. Would I have any problems riding my harley-davidson to the area that you camped at around 1 -2 miles or even further in, of course my motorcyle isn't for off roading but if its doible . Are there more spots on the route that you showed during your motorcycle ride? So how far back do you go down the valley of the God road to get to your camp site.
You shouldn't have a problem at all riding down the dirt road, just take it slow. I wouldn't advise it if it's been raining. The road in can get sloppy/messy. My camping spot was only about 1 mile in. There are many other spots down that dirt road that would be great camping spots. Safe travels!
Drove through but didn't stop. Have to be prepared to do there. Vermilion Cliffs west was amazing making it part of this drive
I'm planning on checking the Vermillion Cliffs out prior to leaving Utah. Lots to see here.
Appreciate your drone footage. Beautiful!
Thank you kindly
Great set up. Truck Camper and KLR. Love the range on the KLR, I call mine the Super Tanker.
I'm liking my KLR. More gitty up than my Honda 250 for sure.
We spent two days there and loved it , thanks for the drone footage.
Glad you enjoyed it
Yeah definitely on the bucket list. I’d like to drive the loop. I bet it’s dark sky country too 👍🏼
Very dark sky. I wish I had a decent enough camera for astrophotography. When it wasn't cloudy, the stars shone bright!
heeyyyy i made it in the video! thanks for sharing the beautiful views with us, and stay safe out there marky mark!
I didn't realize that was you. LOL I was wondering how you knew I wanted an African Twin.
@@DispersedCamperMan woowwwww i’m hurt
Absolutely love Utah. The geology is breathtaking. So much different than Arkansas.
I completely agree. Very different than Arkansas. It's exciting to be in Utah!
No bugs!
True. I definitely don't miss the bugs!
@@DispersedCamperMan It has become our favorite place to visit. No bugs is a bonus😅
I want to thank you again for providing GPS of your campsites. Helps me a lot when I visit areas you have been!
Glad they're helpful!
It's such a beautiful scenery and fantastic visuals. Especially, the drone video is really awesome!!
Thank you so much 😀
Hi Mark! Leah and I were there last March, for spring break. We spent a few days riding in that area. Beautiful scenery.
Good to hear y'all were there. Beautiful area for sure. Loved the geneology.
Fabulous. I always enjoy your low key presentations. Maybe because I’m a fellow Arkansan 🫶✌️😸
Awesome! Thank you!
Wow Mark, wasn't expecting you so soon ! Always looking forward to your videos. Enjoy the sunshine in one of my favorite states and be safe !
Thanks! I'm excited to be in Utah!
Who you callin' older?!! LOL I do remember the cartoons...
Awesome to see you in Utah. Still snowing here! 👍🇨🇦😎🌞❄
Thanks! I fondly remember the road runner cartoons. Watched them every saturday morning growing up.
What an awesome place to camp. My wife just said we need to take our truck camper there. Hopefully, we will do just that. Safe travels and have a great week!
You should! Better camping spots on down the Valley of the Gods road. I'll definitely be back there. Lots more to check out in that area.
Looks grand ! Thanks for sharing this with us !
Thanks for watching

Sounds good. That whole Valley of the Gods Road is BLM land. You're allowed to stay up to 14 nights. Beautiful area. I loved being there.

I’ve been looking for an area to watch the eclipse in October May I should try this one out. It should be full in that area.
It should be. It would definitely be a great spot to see it.

I was there for three nights. After day 1 the wind picked up and couldn't get to much drone footage in because of the high winds. I'll definitely be back there.

It's getting warmer here in Utah.

You can access it from hwy 163 the way I did, or from hwy 261 near Moki Dugway.
Awesome place, do you have to air down your truck tires any when you go off roading?
No, I don't air down my truck tires. Not on this road.
Very nice Mark! Did you have any cell signal in the area? BTW, I believe is part of Bears Ears National Monument.

What about cell phone coverage?
The first mile or so there is decent coverage. The further you go in, no cell coverage.
