I would think the print is a little wide for a dog. I'm starting to lean more towards a wild-cat myself. Someone mentions in a comment not claw marks, not a bear. So cat seems logical.
The Moab area has private campgrounds and lots of boondocking areas at lower elevations (therefore hotter). I was aware of the La Sal mountains but have never stayed in them.
Thanks Ginger! There are lots of places to disperse camp around the parks. I've got many more spots I'll be camping at and showing folks around. Thanks for watching!
First, thanks for your service. I am new to your channel and new to Arkansas. I am overwhelmed by the information you provided. Thank you so much. I am a retired l.e.o. from Florida and will visit your camping locations. Nobody provides this type of info. Keep up the great locations. Again thank you
Great in depth video that kept me engaged the whole time. Not sure why. Sometimes its the little things.. We will be there, hopefully in your spot in 5 weeks.. :)
Pretty cool Mark. Thanks for showing us these "new to us" places! I follow this girl, Wandering Jeepsy, who used to run the campground at the junction, La Salle Junction campground, but it was only for 1 season and she moved on. Its the scene of the gas station in Transformers 4, the station with the slightly angled covers over the former gas pump area, add a pic for your collection lol. You got guts to stand on that edge flying your drone man, that was some excellent footage there! and great views up there all around wow! good video!
Hi Mark. That is a beautiful area. Your videos are great. I can tell you put in a lot of time with your editing. Cool you get to see wildlife. Excellent video. 🤝
Thanks for the great 26:44 video, Mark! I’ve had the La Sals on my places to visit list for a couple of years now. Your video is a great source of information on dispersed camping up there!
Great video/information as always. I was up in Moab about a month ago for the first time. When I rolled in I was so excited with all of the land to camp on. After three days of looking for dispersed land, I gave up and went back to AZ to regroup (the weather was still bad north of Moad and I was there during spring break so it was packed). I have never seen so many no camping signs as I did in the Moab area. I found a few spots going up a mountain outside of Moab but they were either taken or inaccessible. The next thing I know I am on top of the mountain (I think it was the La Sal Mountains) and the temp had dropped to 32 degrees and snowing with some of the steepest inclines I have been on with little to no guard rails and I was pulling a 30ft travel trailer. I have never been that scared before in my life. On a separate note, I just bought the Honda 450RL dual sport (I bought it after my Moab incident to do some scouting instead of having to drive my truck/trailer around everywhere). If you don't mind me asking what mic are you using? I have the purple panda but it sounds horrible! Thanks!
Thanks! I've been finding lots of BLM and Utah State Trust Land to camp on around Moab. I heard they were going to start making it all no camping allowed up to 30 miles surrounding Moab. I have been using my motorcycle to scout, which makes it a lot easier going over the dirt roads and real easy on the fuel cost compared to my diesel truck. LOL I scouted out La Sal Mountains a couple of months ago, didn't camp there since the snow was still on the ground. The snow just now cleared up to camp in a couple of spots up there. For my helmet mic I'm using the purple panda also, with a gopro.
Great content DCM, appreciated ! Your ventures take and show us around with your bike make you different from other RUclipss who are mostly try to make $$$. Great job👍🇺🇸. We are wondering how you can fly your drone as you said there was no cell service in the mountain 😁 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
Thanks ADA! Thanks for watching. I fly a DJI Mavic Air, it doesn't require cell service to take off. I do, however, start it up regularly at camp on my starlinks wifi to do any updates prior to heading to areas with no cell service. Hope this helps!
Thanks! I could deal with the unlevel campsite, the views made it worth it. I'm going to have to agree with you on the starlink. It's been a game changer for sure.
Wow Mark, another stunning place...thanks for taking us along. You might think about ways you can weight or anchor down your solar panels...I know of several travellers who were surprised by those random big gusts of wind.
I'm afraid you are to late with this info. LOL The last night I was there, the wind picked up over night and when I woke up the next morning, I looked at my jackeries and none were getting charged with the morning sun. I went outside and found all three jackery panels lying face down; blown over by the wind. LOL I'm going to have to figure out how to anchor them down for sure. Thanks for watching!
@Dispersed Camper Man sorry to hear that...hopefully no damage and at least they didn't go over that cliff. Those lightweight portable ones can be tricky to anchor. If there is room, you could possibly install grommets at the corners.
You are more brave than I would be to park there. I would want a weeee bit more level land around me and not such drop offs so close. I'd have a hard time sleeping at night wondering if my vehicle would slip off it's levelers and drop me off over a cliff. 😰 Beautiful location though!!
You gave me the idea to haul a small motorcycle on a hitch mounted carrier on the back of my RV, so I sold my 2008 KLR650 and bought a 2014 CRF250L, kind of like the CRF I saw in your older videos. Now I’m only seeing your new KLR in your videos, go figure. Does not having a tachometer bug you? My CRF is my first bike without a tach and it drives me nuts not knowing my engine speed.
I still have my 2018 Honda Rally CRF. Just on this trip to Utah, I chose to bring my KLR instead of my CRF. I'll still be hauling my CRF around on the back of my carrier, nothing's changed. I have no issues with not having a tachometer. I know exactly when to shift when I need to. I've never really paid attention to it. Safe Travels!
What software do you use for the Hiseeu camera? I see the Cloudedge, but have read a lot of reviews that are very good. Do you just upload to the SD card OR do you use the cloud or both?
I use the Hiseeu App for the software on my iPhone. I upload to the cloud. I think it’s $20 a year subscription service per camera. It saves my recording for three days in the cloud.
I don’t think it has. I am an expert backer if need be. I also scout ahead on my motorcycle prior to going into a remote area. I’ve never not went somewhere because of my trailer. If my truck can make it, I figure my trailer can also.
why are Utah and Arizona shutting down previously stablished dispersed campsites? do local governments want us to spend money in lodging and dining in their towns?
I say it's a wild-cat print. My son guessed dog. 👍😎🇨🇦🐾🐾You seem to really like that area!
I would think the print is a little wide for a dog. I'm starting to lean more towards a wild-cat myself. Someone mentions in a comment not claw marks, not a bear. So cat seems logical.
Thanx for doing these videos 😊 I didn’t think there was really any camping near the parks!🙌

You have the best view of all campsites. Unique area to explore on foot. Hope you stay for a while and take us on a hike in this area.
Thanks Karen! I loved the views at the spot for sure. I'll be heading back up there some time soon!

Cool I pass by that campground on my way to work every morning, thanks for the tip!
Good to know. I was thinking the same think on that ledge flying the drone. LOL I was also thinking if I fell, no one would ever find me. LOL
everything looked really good. thanks for the adventure.
Thank You!
Thank you for another helpful informative adventure video sir.
We’ve seen the La Sal Mountains but only from a distance. What an awesome campsite!
It was! Incredible views!

Wow! That's a great site. I need to check that area out.
Pretty neat area for a break from the desert. LOL Thanks for watching!
Nice tour of the La Sal Road, beautiful overviews.

Very nice area Mark. I'm stuck with a crummy cold. Hopefully, it will be just a few more days, then back to normal.
Hope you are feeling better soon! I just got over several days of allergies. Not fun!..

I have camped in this spot before, it’s a nice one. The spots up the road are nice in the summer. Enjoy Mark. Great video.
Maybe a cougar print?
Cougar maybe. It looked wide like a bear print. I don't know.

Very cool. I was out that way last year, and it's a gorgeous area. I'm curious....what kind of mileage do you get with your F250 with camper?
I average about 11-12 miles on average. Coming across Oklahoma/Texas on I-40, driving into the wind, I was getting 9 MPH. LOL

Can't tell the size of the print but some kind of canine.

Dog
AWESOME VIDEO. KEEPUM COMING
No size reference makes it hard to tell what the print is.
But, no claw marks says it's a cat not a bear
Hmmm.. Didn't think about no claw marks. Could of been a cat. It was a fairly wide print. I assumed a bear.
