    When my wife and I head out to Colorado next year (provided she won't be stubborn and will retire) we're going to plan a route that will take us through Arkansas. The Ozarks have long been on our bucket list.

    That caves looks more like a place to hide a moonshine still. In the 1930’s and 40’s my folks were bootlegs an moonshiner just across the state law from your location in Oklahoma. Beautiful country in the Quachita National Forest on both side of the state line. Interesting historical about the Bell Star cave and falls. Thanks for sharing, very entertaining.

    Hey Mark. I spent this past week in the Ouachita NF. After seeing some of your videos, I stayed at Blaylock Creek on the 16th and 17th and then on the 18th and 19th I stayed just north of Albert Pike Rec area on FS73. Couldn't find the exact location in the video, but found an awesome camp area a little ways further north on the left on 73 (34 23.587, 93 52.567). No cell service. Did have to pick up a little trash left by others. Not far from the hiking trail going to Little Missouri Falls along the river. Some parts of the trail are not super clear, so without a gps, you can veer off the path quite easily, but the falls were awesome and worth the hike.
    Hey Thanks for making these videos and sharing your experiences and camp areas. Much appreciated!

      @DispersedCamperMan  Год назад

      A couple of years after making the Blaylock Creek video, a tornado went right through that camping spot and downed a lot of trees. It's still there, but not accessible by vehicles. That spot was a great spot to camp to. There are lots of camping spots to choose from in that area. Thanks for the feedback.

    If I'm not mistaken, Belle Starr was a character in an old great western called "The Long Riders" in which she was a hooker that had an going relationship with Cole Younger when he rode with the James gang. It was a fantastic movie but I'm sure there was more to her life if they named a cave after her. I'll have to look that up, thanks for the tour.

      It mainly works with internet which it saves to the cloud. Or you can have no internet, and it'll save to the internal memory. No internet, no alerts. Here's my affiliate link, it's also in any of my video descriptions. amzn.to/3K6IBBV

    2 1/2 miles is just about right. From Highway 378 to Poteau Mountain Road is about 5 1/2 miles. And the cave is roughly 3 miles from 378. Used to ride from our house to the mountain just about every weekend. Leah and I were there just a few weeks ago. Even made a few videos. It is slick, for sure. Nice video Mark.

    How well does it work carrying the motorcycle on the front? I’m thinking of doing this.I have an F350 so I can do it but I was curious as to your headlights and stuff being blocked.

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  Год назад

      My headlights were blocked, meaning no driving at night. I stopped carrying my motorcycle up front. I noticed my engine wasn't getting sufficient air flow and was increasing my oil and coolant temps by 15+ degrees.
