- The best thing about exploring the Ouachita National Forest is if you see something interesting to check out, you can most likely find a spot to park and camp next to it. The Richardson Bottoms Wildlife Viewing Area attracts all kind of wildlife to the area and I found a perfect dispersed camping spot less than two miles down the road from it. Lots of migratory birds, beavers, frogs and lots more. Beautiful area to check out and explore.

Awesome new bike! Thanks again for sharing your adventures.
You bet!
Awesome location & awesome video footage, thank you for sharing another one of your beautiful camping locations.
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow! Beautiful! This is my year to start some dispersed camping of my own. This spot sounded and looks like heaven on earth! Can’t thank you enough for the coordinates! Yes, I am a bird watcher. 🤗♌️
You would love this spot. Bird watchers paradise. LOL
Beautiful area, love hearing the rain on the umbrella!!!
The best!
Love the new bike great size 👍
As always. Thank you Sir for sharing another great spot to visit. Did you really see no one the entire time you were there? Man what a great place to get away.
I didn't see anybody. Nobody came down the road while I was there. It did dead end several miles down, it probably doesn't get to much traffic.
Nice Video. Beautiful scenery at The Bottoms!! Cool map of your sites!
Thank you very much!
We had a Lance Camper at one time. It was longer than yours about your year.Had lots of great times with it. Enjoy all your videos. Ended up with a 27ft mini Winnie. We’re in our mid 80s.Hate to say no more camping.Sure miss camping.
Mini Winnie's are excellent campers. I wouldn't mind having one myself. Safe Travels!
That looks like another peaceful camping spot Mark! Congrats on the new bike, Im sure it will do you well. I just got home yesterday from my trip out west since Feb 19th! I saw a lot of good stuff & many good places to camp! Now to plan my next one hehe...
Thanks! Yeah, I'll be in Arkansas for a while now. But I am planning a trip out west sometime soon hopefully. Safe Travels!
Another great video ! Thanks ! The purple flower trees are probably Red Bud Trees .
Red Bud, that's right. Pretty neat splash of color in for forest.
You bought a transalp! Good choice, I bought one in January of this year. Love it so far.
Lovin' my Transalp. Safe Ridin'!
My man has the perfect apocalypse set up..shout out from West Monroe la..looking forward to more of your adventures.
Awesome! Thank you!
Another awesome camping site! So much similarity in appearance of that area you were in, to what the woods look like here where I live, even the marsh viewing area. By the way, LOVE the new facial fur handsome!
Yeah, great area to explore. Thanks for watching!
Another good one, Mark. You're real close to some kinfolks in Story.
I went through Story to get to my location. I was meaning to try their diner out.
That is such a beautiful and peaceful area you have some of the best videos on here
Wow, thank you
Oh I’ve hiked in the rain. Camped in the rain. Slept in puddles of rain. Left Left Left Right Left 😂
Those birds were definitely active down there. Nice camp spot.
Me to.. LOL
Thanks for the entertaining and informative video. Getting closer to retirement myself and you inspire me to get out camping. Enjoy the new bike. You seem to buy higher quality and take care of your stuff. Stay safe.
Thanks! I love finding new spots to explore and check out. I love my new Transalp, much better touring bike than my KLR. Safe Travels!
Nice informative video. Thanks Mark.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for the great video. I’m going to have to come check this spot out. It is only a couple hours away from where I live.
It's a nice little get away. Make sure to have a back up plan in case this one is taken.
Good stuff. I enjoy your content, Mark!
Glad to hear it!
Great video! Thank you for sharing~
Thank you too
Drove right by there yesterday. All the creeks are overflowing from the rains Monday. If you want a good burger stop by the Blue Bell Cafe just west of there on 298 and say hello to Lori.
I did notice Blue Bell Cafe on my way out, but I think it was closed when I went by. I'll keep it in mind the next time I'm in that area.
another great vidio Mark
Thanks 👍
Back in Arkansas? I do hope to get there one day. Thanks for another fine video, amigo.
Yeah! Back in Arkansas for a while. I'm resting up for my next trip out west. LOL Take care!
Beautiful spot. Thanks for sharing. So you ditched your motorcycle hitch carrier and lighter bike for a trailer and bigger bike. I guess due to ride comfort and more storage room. What size is your trailer? Any issues pulling it while dispensed camping? Probably need more room and turning area in your camping spots. Stay safe.
Yeah, I decided to trade my honda rally and KLR in for the Transalp due to the Transalp being a better touring bike. My honda rally had almost 45,000 miles on it, and my KLR just wasn't doing it for me. I think my trailer is a 10 footer. I've had it for about ten years now, have already replaced the boards in it. I do have to plan better while going down dirt roads so I avoid having to back up long distances. I do love having the extra storage space on my trailer. I am thinking eventually buying another Honda Rally 300 sometime down the road. I liked being able to put it on my motorcycle carrier and just go.
Thanks!
Welcome!
Red Wing Blackbird serenade. Nice new bike. Mark.
I saw the red wings there. I figured it was mating season LOL
I've been looking at the Transalp 750. I was amazed to see you bought one. Keep us informed on how you like it. From another Arky
Will do! I'm loving it so far. Better touring bike than my KLR. I'm thinking I'm going to stick with Honda from here on out.
Thanks for the video. I’m going to try and find a spot for the eclipse should be a zoo.
Have fun!
I like that new Honda! It sounds awesome and ought to be great for highway riding when you need to run to town. Thanks for sharing the video!
I like my Transalp so far. It's more of a touring bike, which was what I was wanting. I love the sound of it to..
Congrats on the new bike. I’ve heard good things about those Transalps. What made you decide to upgrade/consolidate?
I had to many motorcycles, and I wasn't really like the KLR as a touring bike. It was big and bulky and didn't care for it to much. My Honda Rally had about 45,000 miles on it, and decided to trade them both in for my Transalp. I'm loving the new bike. A little more power and a whole lot more enjoyable to ride. I am thinking, eventually also getting a Honda Rally 300. I just like being able to carry it on my hitch and leaving the trailer behind sometimes. Who knows.
Wow 45k is a lot of miles to put on a 250. Good to know they last that long. I’ve got 9k on mine and thinking about downsizing to a XR150L to make transport easier on my motorhomes hitch carrier but then I guess I’d be limited to
Yes, with the right clothing, a hike in the rain is an awesome thing.👍😎🇨🇦💦💦💦
It sure is..
My first time to live in Washington State after growing up in Texas it was an adjustment. It was 6 weeks before I saw the sun but I adjusted you get rain pants and jacket. The rain is more like daily drizzle. It made hiking a pleasure to see ferns that grow waist high and the moss hanging from the trees.
When I wasn't hiking I'd catch a bus and ride into Seattle and explore places like Pikes Place market. Watch the ferry travel across the bay. The PNW is a beautiful place.

That sounds great. Love moss growing from trees and hiking after/during a rain. I hope to one day visit Washington state. One day, I will.
@@DispersedCamperMan if you go during the summer it's usually perfect weather 80s during the day and cools off at night. Lots of Nation forest. The Cascade mountains run north and south cutting Oregon and Washington in half. A dry side and a wet side. Next time you're in Utah it's not much further.
Thanks!
Thanks! Much appreciated!
