That looks like a great campsite to spend a little time. We agree that dispersed camping beats an RV park any day. Being a retired LEO, old prisons and jails are always interesting to me. I can’t imagine being imprisoned in place like that or tasked with guarding prisoners there. Times sure were different back then. Thanks for showing us around. Stay safe and keep the great content coming!
Great spot! I’m taking off in Feb to truck camp in the Mojave Desert and make my way down towards the Salton Sea and maybe Yuma. Going to stay here for sure! Loved the old prison. Thank you for sharing!
Cool old jail! Fun to see you jump being surprised! The train was really cool to see off in the distance! Seem's like it would be super quiet for sleeping... Thanks again Mark man!
It's great hiking in the remote desert this time of year... no rattle snakes and beautiful weather. I was out hiking in Joshua Tree NP and the Mojave a few weeks ago, amazing hiking in that entire region.
Out of all of my boondocking spots on my trip out west last winter, the Ogilby Road area was by FAR my favorite. Great cell service, close to Yuma (and cheaper gas), and great climate in the winter. Highly recommend it to anyone to try out! Pilot Knob mountain nearby right off of the interstate was a great day hike as well. When you get to the top and look south, you can see the border wall and a great view of Los Algodones.
Love this road! Walked up the hill to get a peek at the mining operation. It’s a big active mine. Worth noting is the close proximity of the town of Los Algodones in Mexico. A great place to go if you’re in need of prescription glasses or dental work at a fraction of the cost in the US.
Another good spot. Currently parked up in NM making my way to Yuma eventually. I plan on riding the Apache trail outside of Phoenix on my way through, check it out on the dual sport
Sup man. I see your in my winter stompin grounds lol. Were down off sidewinder, usually around this area during winter. Little cooler this year than the past few but not too bad .
You should space out your solar panels better so they don’t shade each other. In the video your 2 big orange solar panels have shading from the trees or the panel in front. Partial shading drops the output of these panels by 80%. If you have these panels in parallel or series, the voltage drop brings down the whole system. The dust doesn’t matter so much, but the shading is robbing you of power.
You should try going another 3 to 4 miles up the Ogleby Road to the old mining town of Tumco. I’m there right now and there’s nobody here and a lot to explore.
Yes. One other time. It only over heats if I'm going up hill for a long time. If I take the controller out of the black plastic box, it stops over heating. The holes I drilled in it helps.

That speaker was right next to my ear when I walked in. LOL I think that was on purpose.
@@DispersedCamperMan Yeah I think we were all surprised! =)

Yeah, the desert is awesome this time of year. I'll be making my way to Joshua Tree NP soon. Can't wait to check it out.

Yeah, the mine is huge and active. I need to get my passport/card.

Awesome! 👍😎🇨🇦☀️
Thanks for watching!

Nice camp site Mark, and yes the prison was kinda creepy, I couldnt imagine!
LOL Especially in the Arizona Heat.
As always it’s a great video. Sadly I can’t carry both my e-bike and the Yamaha TW200. It’s one or the other. Stay safe, well and positive, Daryl
Great video! All of it was very interesting.
Thanks DJ.
Good to meet you out here a American girl mine Tim with the crazy Aussie
It was good to meet you and your puppy Moose! Safe Travels Tim!

Excellent video very detailed
Glad you liked it

Is the cargo trailer working out good? Even with other campers around it's still better than staying in town. Alot better view.
Trailers working great as expected. BLM land is much better than an RV park for sure.
Thank you.
I have frequently wished that AGM were just across the border in AZ.
We still reuse needles 😂
I’d imagine it would get a bit warm there in the summer 🥵
I bet the place is haunted 👻 😂
I do believe they reused all of their needles. They looking rusted. LOL I wouldn't doubt it being haunted.
Cool place. It looks a bit like the big LTVA areas around Quartzsite, AZ.
It’s does. Lots of space.
Check out imperial dam and picacho State Park on the Colorado River
I will next time I'm in that area. I'll most definitely be back.
Why did you decide to camp so close to the road with so many options available?
Has your e-bike over heated again ?
Yes. One other time. It only over heats if I'm going up hill for a long time. If I take the controller out of the black plastic box, it stops over heating. The holes I drilled in it helps.
