Most profound, brooding, meditative and absorbing Todi....Am left feeling empty and yet fulfilled at the same time... Great musician, TMK and an equally great team !!!!!!
He is one of the very very few musicians who even puts connoisseurs to a trance where we just listen to the melody he creates and forget about everything else . Long live krishna sir .
Everytime I listen to TMK I can't stop admiring his rendition filled with complete mastery. The imagination is boundless and it makes his rendition a rarity. Any Raaga he touches turns into a special one, fully explored and reaching new heights. The Beauty is that the co-artists also raise their capabilities to higher levels to provide justice to TMK's high standards. Feeling of sowkyam, bhaavam and layam thanks for the upload🙏
This magnificent krithi of Kumara Ettendra Bhupathi from the Ettayapuram Samasthanam was popularised by TMK's Guru Semmangudi Sri. Srinivasa Iyer. TMK reminds me of the great man's peerless rendition, especially in the way he takes his time delineating the Chitta swars. A truly flawless performance, with wonderful support from Kumari Subbalakshmi, Sri. Manoj and Sri. Anirudh.
Was priviliged to watch this live and this was the opening piece of the concert - spectacular and captivating rendition in a style that is all his own - its rare to see music which can soothe yet make you feel more alive than ever before! Respect!
When all of your co-artistes are themselves rendered into an instant meditative trance, we know how profound the effect of music is. This is the greatest effect of soulful music
Soulful, deeply meditative, rendition of raga thodi, in a timeless, slowly progressive exploration of of this beautiful raga. A once in lifetime experience of extraordinary proportion!
What a spellbinding thodi!!! No words!!! Such involvement...such freshness...and such unique ideas and execution!!! Thoroughly enjoyed...the entire team!!
When someone is in depression and tried to listen this the first thing comes here is ads and he feel like not even a single thing is meant to make me happy

Mr T.M excellent no words to say or praise my sole is melting your thodi raga above the moon great singing thks pls don’t close your eyes when you sing and watch your beard you need shave because you are a widhwan
Loved this!! Incredible. Really enjoyed the kalpanaswarams for the chittaswaram. Such an innovative idea. I have heard a beautiful recording of the same song by Vid. TMK (accompanied by Vid. Mysore Manjunath, Vid. K Arun Prakash, and Vid. Udupi Sridhar) in the album 'Janaranjani' released on 4 Jun 2004. Somehow, I liked that version much more than I liked this one! I recommend buying that album and listening to this song (and others, of course) and then do tell me what you think! :)
@First Edition Arts Channel I have always been a fan of the immense sound quality you provide but in this video, there is some background noise ("hiss" sound). I would really appreciate if that can be removed and video can be re-uploaded.
@Shreyas K In the sangeeta sampradaya pradarsini of Subbarama Dikshitar, the footnote says: "This muktayi svaram, with the gandhara eduppu, and caturasra jati was composed by Balusvami Diksita, the third brother of Muttusvami Diksita ."
As a musician he is really good But his anti-Hindu and anti-Brahmana behaviour despite being from within the community stinks of shame! He needs to introspect and realise the truth. He needs to remember what Brahmanas stand for? The Ultimate Truth!
Rendition was good. But that is not the way to sing neraval . You mustn't change the syllabic configuration of each word of the lyrics. It was a good rendition for those who don't know Carnatic classical music. No matter who does it it's a wrong thing according to the rules of neraval .
TMK has given multiple lectures on this exact topic. What you are mentioning is not an absolute rule, it varies according to lineage. Even so, he teaches his students according to what you have mentioned, as he considers that good training for students, but has made the decision not to follow that rule himself.

In my opinion Thodi raga is the crown jewel of Carnatic music and all that it represents. What a magnificent rendition of the same.

Subhalakshmi is just perfect. She is one awesome accompanist in this and the previous series with TMK.
She is amazing. You will never feel that she's accompanying. She brings the feel of a vocal violin çombo. A perfect combination for the talented TMK.
Soulful, deeply meditative, rendition of raga thodi, in a timeless, slowly progressive exploration of of this beautiful raga. A once in lifetime experience of extraordinary proportion!
Not heard Todi like this so far. What can be more meditative than this!! Great violin and Mridangam support. Redefined the Ragam. Great TMK.
The quality of FEAC concerts are of supreme quality. If I am informed, I am eager to witness TMK's rendition once.

Another meditative piece from TMK! Cinematography was very inspiring!!! And is he 2 octaves lower than the base at 25:37??!!
Yes , That was smooth and amazing !

It's good
Great
Hows hindustani thodi different than carnatic thodi?
Carnatic Thodi is a ghana raga. Hindustani Thodi is a raganga raga.
Excellent.
Whose composition is this?... Dikshitar?
The composer is Raja Kumara Ettendra. The chittaswaram is attributed to Baluswami Dikshitar.
Too slow but deep immersing
Kalpana swaram to a chitta swaram ........that's excellent idea😂👌👌
