In the first iteration of kalpana swaram (at 17:36), he sings Ga Ma Pa Ma Ga Pa Ma Da Pa Pa Mayamalavagowladi..... These ten swaras contain a complete expression of his genius in them. An absolutely simple combination of swaras. But the sound of each swara is carved out to perfection. Akkarai Subhalakshmi acknowledges the brilliance in this as well. For instance the final Pa has a gentle spuritam gamakam which makes the karuna rasa overflow when landing at Mayamalavagowla..... This would not have worked if the Pa was plain or if the spuritam was more aggressive. I just discover more and more each time I listen. Each time he urges rasikas and learners to pay attention to the "sound" of the swaras and the "colors" imparted by them, these examples show that this advice comes from a place of deep knowledge. Just Awesome.
Wow jus wow...my childhood was full of Carnatic music...and then I wandered off for several years...now 52 years old...want to come back to an original love...and what a beautiful way to return to the fold :) Eternally thankful to music and to amazing musicians such as these
I grew up in a place full of carnatic music. Never learnt it. Listening off and on as going on. At 42, my friend loaned me her son's old violin. Went and joined a school full of students my son's age. It was painfull and hard. Three gurus in multiple places later, I'm still a student at 51. But I can fiddle reasonably well. I do practice at least 30min everyday. Now pandemic is still around, I'm learning from RUclips videos. Please start again where you left it.

I can't express my feelings while listening to this amazing rendition by Sri TMK with excellent support from his highly talented team. We have to close our eyes and listen to this under pin drop silence. It is so soulful and blissful. He is totally involved in the music and only music while singing. He carries the accompanists along with him, admires and supports them. As an ardent fan of TMK and having attended many of his concerts I can vouch that he and carnatic music are made for each other. Blessed to be living in his era.
This is probably TM. Krishna's best concert. Perfect balance of Kalpana and Kalpeetha sangeetha. If i have to say it in TM Krishna's words For every single song "Sangeetham Vanduchu". I hope we get a full recording of the Janaki Pathe.
Goosebumps! As legends go, Muthuswami Dikshitar felt he had a divine encounter at the temple of Tiruttani; overwhelmed by that experience, he is supposed to have spontaneously composed and sang this krithi for the presiding deity. Legend resurrected, for sure! Thanks to Vidwan T.M.Krishna, for recreating the ecstasy behind what is considered to be the legendary composer's very first composition!
25 minutes of divine bliss. Whatever you say about his societal standpoint, TMK s aesthetic expression of the art takes me to a different plane of serenity, which I feel disabled to describe
Lol what an astute observation. I completely felt that. I almost 99% disagree with him on his societal views but full captivated by his treatment of mayamalavagowla ragam which is very rarely done justice to this level by many others
Irrespective of his political standpoint, I’m not sure anybody else could’ve rendered this composition as well as TMK. Absolute mesmerizing. Take a bow, TMK.

The mridangam and ghatam accompaniment is amazing. Great touch and the fact that they didn't play at the charanam made the emotion very raw and the karuna rasa was super palbable. It's hard to overstate how superb the accompaniment was in this rendition.
I have in the past have played Ghatam for Shri. T.M.Krishna, as accompanists we have to play in the groove of the main performer. This part requires silence on the part of the percussionists silence has its own rhythm. Groove is linked to emotion.

This is the most touching rendition of mayamalavagowla that I've heard... I heard his lec demo on Carnatic music and it was lovely to see some of those principles in action in this masterpiece..the Kalpana swarams were beautifully in sync with the composition...
@@bshanmukha3757 no, he is praising the god and nullify their skill and hardwork.. one simple qn, y saraswathi is not blessing a lazy fellow and turn him into a magical player in one day.. i know the answer as well."She will bless those who do hard work".. so the common factor is skill developed by practice and hard work

A perfect master piece for lovers of Carnatic music. You can listen to an excellent combination of excellent rendition of Dixitar's very first composition, very well rendered in vilambakalam, mayamalavagowla in it's excellent form, excellent exhibition of janata swara prayogams, daatu varasai prayogas, nyaasam prayogas in swaraprastharama, clear rendition etc. Supporting artists were - as usual excellent, what an extraordinary melody from Mridangam and perfect synch with Ghatam. What else can you except from Akkarai other than a supreme support. It is blatantly obvious that the team had few trial sessions before this concert - BUT what a super rendition with so many lessons for carnatic music learners - other than TMK's positioning of words during neraval - text ( vaaarthegal) is ALL Over the place, completely out-of-whack with taalum. BUT for Mrudangam and Ghatam's excellent melody things might have been slightly different. Beauty is ALL artistes seem to enjoy the concert...
TMK shines in all performances, I think with sanskit lyrics, he attracts all audiences across India. No audience should be deprived of riches of south Indian music.
That superb neraval.....grt kalpana svaraas......and the coordination at the end .....tm sir started to sing when thanni avartanam got finished......it was really ...I lack words!...most beautiful
Raaga, Taala, composition, singer, violinist, laya all in equal unison. This reverberates through the senses giving the calming effects of devotion. Truly well chanted !
Easy go my friend, Its an opinion and i truly believe its divine. I am also a die hard fan of TMK specifically when he is singing Bhairavi and Mayamalavagowla................Anything that brings in positivism is divinity and its MY opinion :) and I leave it to TMK or you to assume there is no devotion
Fantabulous rendition... I have no words to express my feelings... Could imagine semmangudi mama in your singing... The silence after 'Malini' is just magical... My humble pranams
Mayamalavagoula at its purest. I think this is the only contemporary recording that can stand amongst the majesty of Mayamalavagoula as rendered in MDR's Meru Samana and Balasaraswati's Tulasi Dalamulache. These three recordings, along with T. Brinda's famous video recording of Meru Samana and MS' magnificent Deva Deva Kalayami from one of her best concerts ever, the one in 1960 at RR Sabha with MSG, form the best of the Raga ever performed, according to me.
What sort of MAYA in your manOdharmam Guruji ? it is MALAvinchina your guru dharmamaa? GOWLLA garu ? I have witnessed many concerts from my young age but not your's, t is superb, simply nice
I almost 99% disagree with him on his societal views but full captivated by his treatment of mayamalavagowla ragam which is very rarely done justice to this level by many others. What a great aesthetics followed and great artisanship by all artists supported with amazing recording and video quality.

@@bshanmukha3757 no, he is praising the god and nullify their skill and hardwork.. one simple qn, y saraswathi is not blessing a lazy fellow and turn him into a magical player in one day.. i know the answer as well."She will bless those who do hard work".. so the common factor is skill developed by practice and hard work
@@sanjukp8886 lol !! It's the highest form of praising in this culture ! I think you can understand .. btw the person well acknowledge their work that's why he say that they are blessings of saraswati
I m first time listner to Shri.TMKs Mayamalavagaula.it mesmerized.

Adbhutam! Just Fantastic!
Everything is just perfect about this rendition...
Could not have articulated better. Many thanks for the fine details, Giridhar Sir.
TMK shines in all performances, I think with sanskit lyrics, he attracts all audiences across India. No audience should be deprived of riches of south Indian music.

Shri TMK is singing from heart, which he is feeling before converting into sound.

Thank you for publishing this amazing content online. Blessed
A well planned and structured presentation. Kudos to the entire team on and off the screen.
Raaga, Taala, composition, singer, violinist, laya all in equal unison. This reverberates through the senses giving the calming effects of devotion.
Truly well chanted !
Chanting!!! TM Krishna said in the past that there is no devotion involved in his singing apart from pure pleasure.

Amazing rendering of mayamalavagaula by TMKsir & brilliant superb accompanists
One of the finest performances I've seen. Absolutely incredible
I listen to this song every day. Couldn’t stop watching. So much addictive. Especially @ 17:42
Best performance of this Keerthanam ever in my humble view. Period. Long live TMK. Thanks to the entire crew for producing such a wonderful series. 🙏
9:08 really made me cry
That's pure magic!!
Could you please post Kharaharapriya as well!
One of the Best,Hats off to you Sir......!!

Yes i had the same thought when i ĺistened first. His guru semmangudi footsteps
But unfortunately not his ideals..
Divine Kirti in Divine language by Divine composer is rendered Divinely!
Endaro mahanubhaavulu.... the essence.... Sathakoti vandhalaalu...

Why cant you people just put the damn song name in the title. what an amazing rendition by TMK 16:50
Brilliant.....just feel dissolved...! 🙏
Simply superb. Captivating music.
Superb... please upload Ragam Kaharapriya Janaki pathe by TM krishna sung in same concert!
Blissful....🙏🙏 soulful rendition. Kudos to the team
rainmanvs ಅವರು ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ, It's hard to overstate how superb the accompaniment was in this rendition.
I almost 99% disagree with him on his societal views but full captivated by his treatment of mayamalavagowla ragam which is very rarely done justice to this level by many others. What a great aesthetics followed and great artisanship by all artists supported with amazing recording and video quality.
music is the only food the Soul needs...its depth depends on its " hunger"...as with any form of success....such wealth which cannot be written in a book
This is a marvel!
Serene Ganga flows from TMK's manodharma!
