    As a western musician (violinist, classical, Scottish fiddle, jazz) I won't pretend I know anything about the intricacies of Indian classical music, but I'd like to think I know good music when I hear it. This is good music. Beautiful, Thank you India. The world is blessed with you here.

      @atreyaram 9 месяцев назад

      Reason for his accompanists being given lot of space is Mr.TM Krishna doesn't have much talent and he can't do brigas/high speed sancharas/sangatis. Hence he gives lot of space for his mrudangam and violin players.

    T M Krishna at his best, Nalinakanthi is such a melodious ragam, he touched all the twist and turns of the raga, Akkarai Subhalakshmi did equally followed him wherever his voice could reach, Praveen Kumar's mridangam fully sinchronised with the shruti, Chandrasekhara Sharma on ghatam, showed he can also be best in comparison with mridangam, the Audio sound system didn't leave any place of difference, all were synchronized, so that it was very pleasing, it touched heart, soothing, togetherness of this group was sheer coincidence to deliver the best combination ever, the audience must have been the luckiest to hear such a concert, totally mesmerising, thanks for uploading for others like us to enjoy too, thanks once again,

    One of the best renditions of TMK the spell weaver & Akkarai the magician. And amazing camaraderie between Mridandam and Ghatam. I think Praveen’s Mridangam pitch came down in the 1st half and he managed it nicely and Sharma covered him beautifully. And the way sparsh gave a lot of turns to Sharma is also rare in most concerts, and no hogging of limelight or any dominant show from Mridangam. Facial expressions of sparsh & animations of TMK stole the show 🙂

    • @vish9679
      @vish9679 Год назад +4

      His mirudhangam's pitch was high, not low. That's why he lowered it with the stick and stone at 4:21. He timed the impact of the stone with the stick to match the beat at 4:22 (off-camera). Brilliant!

    No words , literally ! Just a suggestion - It would be better if TMK gets 2 more mikes one on either side of the centre mike at some distance so that his voice gets captured equally well even when he moves his head around, which he does a lot ! :D

    • @FirstEditionArtsChannel
      @FirstEditionArtsChannel  7 лет назад +70

      We think TMK is a master in controlling his voice and how he interacts with the microphone. The dynamics between his louder passages and the subtle registers is masterful. Also learning from our audio technical team, multiple microphones in close proximity cause more problems with "phase cancellations" and "feedback". We suggest listening to all TMK's music using good to decent headphones for the best results.

    Another master piece by T.M.Krishna who has not only deepened the meaning with his emotional rendering but makes sure Akkarai Subbalakshmi also gets to the finer feelings of saint Thyagaraja. Exceptionally moving piece

      Glad you like it Romina Cerati. There are three more videos on the First Edition Arts RUclips channel featuring TM Krishna that we believe you will also love. Do check them out. These were all recorded at our 3-day tour with TMK in Mumbai. On the same tour he collaborated with The Jogappas, a transgender group from South Maharashtra and North Karnataka. It was a truly exciting concert. We video recorded this as well. We will be putting out these videos shortly. Do subscribe to our channel to be intimated whenever we upload new videos. We promise you won't regret it. Also help us by spreading the word among likeminded friends and family about our channel. We would much appreciate the support. Hope to see you more often on our channel. Thanks again for your appreciation of our work.

    Each artiste in this performance makes the performance special : TM Krishna (with his improvisation and clarity); Akkarai Subbulakshmi (melodious interventions); Praveen Kumar (with his dynamic variations); Chandrasekhara Sharma (establishment of pulse).
