TM Krishna: Raga Suruti

TM Krishna's 3rd piece of his performance at the FEA-curated KARNATIC MODERN II was a Muthuswami Dikshitar composition entitled "Sri Venkata Girisa" in Raga Suruti.
He was accompanied by the always stellar Akkarai Subhalakshmi on violin, Arunprakash Krishnan on mridangam and N Guru Prasad on ghatam. Tanpura support was provided by Rithvik Raja and Surabhi Seshadri.

Vidushi Akkarai Subbalakshmi is amazing... she is listening so closely to TMK alapanai, she does not even seem to be listening to her own playing (how can a performer NOT do that?)...this is the definition of violin support - every accompanying performer should do this, while following the vocal artist...

I feel Akkarai being a renowned accompanist must also play for eminent musicians like OST,Vijay Shiva,Avishek,Saketh,Kunnakudi. The sabhas must make a note of this and make use of her skills
