He is a baby characters for people with peanut brains. Yoshi players make me as sad as campy Sonic players.
Luigi's recovery is exploitable and his air speed is *WACK* he is WADI APPROVED along with Mario. Also make ESAM play pikachu without using (ThunderJolt)
Kirby stealing speed monado art takes him from a joke to fight, to one of the most painful matchups in the game. Bonus points if you play doubles with the kirby player, so they've actually practiced buster combos.
The only problem is that in order to get Monado Kirby, you have to fight Shulk, who is one of Kirby's worst MUs. The copy ability takes it to barely manageable, until you lose the ability... But yeah, all the cheating Shulks who Shield Art out of your true combos and can do dial storage to insta swap between arts mid combo to finish you off with a Smash Art? Kirby gets that too. Kirby's Buster Art can delete Shulk's Shield Art in one throw combo. He's terrifying and, funnily enough, they had to make Kirby's Monado multipliers WORSE than Shulk's so it wasn't completely broken, and it's the only copy ability that is worse than the original. You're right though, if you have a Shulk / Kirby TEAM... :)

I feel like there should be one last episode of this where we look at all of the lists together and put every character into one big list. That just seems like a fitting finale to me, though I can see it being redundant.
Wadi makes the best point. I think Pikachu and Link both are extremely easy to play and win with, but then there is the next level. You don’t NEED to have high level tech skill to win with those characters.

As a Luigi main, I can confirm we have no feelings towards others. We just want our opponents to suffer, I believe the less than 10 second segment is more than what we deserve.
I feel like the problem with these videos is that they’re judging the characters they play/play against most by how hard they are at the highest level, but the characters they play less they only consider how hard it is to play in like elite smash and don’t see it from the point of view of the best ____ players. They say you don’t NEED link bomb tech but apparently you NEED pikachu’s best combos.
It makes sense. Character is actually hard as hell. Like you can pick him up and do pretty ok at low/mid level, but damn his combos are so specific and precise. All of them really knew that, so it was more of them explaining why he was hard
As a Luigi co-main, I think the same argument for Captain Falcon can be made here; he has a very exploitable recovery that takes a lot of practice to time so you don't get cheesed by projectiles and/or characters that can enjoy an extended stay vacation off stage. So I'd put him with Falcon.
I like how Esam and Marss both admit that playing Link and making him look cool is hard, considering that they both played him due to Panda’s request. I will say as a Link main myself that it takes a deep understanding about the character in order to learn how to pull off all of Link’s advanced techs which are difficult to pull off on their own, even for an experienced smash player.
I think Mario should’ve been higher because of how many losing matchups he has. He loses to basically every sword character and most of the characters based on projectiles. His combos may be easy but the harder part is getting in there and starting the combos
2:12 I was playing Dream Team Bros while watching this and thought: "Is my game sound on rn?" Had to check real quick. Good choice, the game has nice and chill soundtracks.
Puff is the only character on this list that I think should really be moved. I was considering fox but I don’t want much fox and when I have tried him he just doesn’t feel remotely as good as he is on a top level. I think Puff should be in the middle tier though, she has a lot of percent specific tech and platform punishes. Nearly any good player could do well with her if they tried, it isn’t insanely complex, but I feel like she requires more skill than Samus lol, Jiggs has a terrible disadvantage state and can’t do much if she’s falling from high up, she’s East food to juggle.
Pikachu has ridiculous framedata, arguably the best recovery and can spam projectiles. Although it's not easy but I just can't see this character galaxy brain. He has so many privileges that it's just ridiculous. Only thing is that he can get killed a bit early but good luck with that.
Esam talking like "quick attack makes this character big brain" like bruh. Top 5 best recoveries in the game, little end lag so it can be used pretty safe on stage, can be used once or twice for mixups. Really? Move is dummy easy to use.

I hate to admit it but I agree with everything here realistically. I was going to disagree on Ness, saying that he has skillful down b movement, but upon further thought you don’t need skill for that, IVs easy to b reverse his down b and nobody can ever predict your movement.
Esam hates ness not because the Pika matchup, but because he is annoying with his aerial spam. Even in a winning matchup, I do not enjoy playing against Ness. He's just annoying.

I like to play DK, my friends all like to play DK, he’s fun, but there isn’t much too him that requires some masterful level of skill. Honestly the most skillful thing he has is maybe running offstage whole the opponent is holding ledge and side b spiking them (which then auto grand ledge) and using down b air reverse to bait approaches. His position is justified.
The best way I've heard Yoshi described is "Yoshi is the most faithful character to his source game in Smash because no matter where he is, he's carrying babies" Also to further defend Pikachu is that regions that don't have Esam in them place Pikachu like 10-20 spots lower than regions with Pikachu, in NA Pikachu is almost universally considered top 2 at worst but in Japan he's considered top 15 at best. It's like Marss' ZSS argument on steroids because like, you don't see other ZSS players win tournaments besides Marss but with Pikachu you pretty much don't see Pikachu period even though he's argued for the best character in the entire game.

Sounds like somebody who's never played Pikachu. His combos are not free flow chart combos like Mario. He is actually pretty damn hard to play. A character being good does not make them braindead or easy. Peach for instance is a top 10 character and is arguably the hardest or one of the hardest characters in the game to play competently. He can camp you out with his projectiles (whose is the best in the game) his fair is ridiculously easy to land over and over. He’s safe on shield on almost all of his moves. Ridiculous recovery options. He’s very smoll to hit. Yeah if you wanna take him to the next lvl and go pro u need some time to practice but that’s the case with every char. Is he harder on pro level to learn his combos and such? Maybe ( I doubt it) but the fact is that he’s broken af. So your instantly better then someone whose the same lvl as you.

@@kaioken-tq2rv I don't main pikachu, I main sephiroth, and yeah, fighting pikachu isn't fun, but if he's doing only 30 percent per combo, I'm doing that much or more per neutral win and I'm gonna kill him earlier since pikachu has strict kill setups, but if he does the more difficult combos that do more damage, I'm more worried about where I am in the match since I'm now more likely to die sooner. A good pikachu really only camps with t jolt when he needs to, he's not doing it all the time. Sounds like you just got your ass whooped by a pikachu and now you're salty and making up johns
