It was a wonderful winter day in Vienna, so I just have to go for a walk. This time in the ninth district of Vienna, Alsergrund! The long, wide streets in Alsergrund, are lined with elegant Wilhelminian style houses. The old AKH, a hospital complex from the 17th century, now houses several institutes of the University of Vienna and there are lively beer gardens in the tree-lined inner courtyards. Student pubs and LGBT bars as well as independent concert venues can be found all over the quarter. Enjoy the walk!
