Good morning from Vienna!
this time i'm walking in the 22nd district of Vienna (Donaustadt), in particular in Donau City and briefly in Kaisermühlen. It was a very cold morning with strong winds and snowfall. It was around -5 ° C, but with the cold wind it felt a lot colder. Make yourself comfortable on the couch with a hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate and enjoy the winter scenes from Vienna.
It is hard to believe that the very place where Austria's tallest building soars into the sky was once marked by rubbish, crumbling wooden huts and allotments. Because the previously unregulated river Danube caused numerous floods in this area. This made it almost impossible to erect important buildings on the Danube floodplains.
It was not until the Danube regulation from 1970 to 1875 that the area of today's Danube City was made flood-proof. For this purpose, a flood plain was built with the Hubertusdamm in today's districts of Donaustadt and Floridsdorf. The main stream at that time was henceforth called the Alte Donau. Over time, the City of Vienna terminated the lease agreements for the approximately 1000 inhabitants of this area and increased the landfill for this purpose.
The Vienna Donau City has a long history behind it. Now it impresses with a skyline and great leisure activities. The Vienna International Center, the Austria Center and the tallest building in Austria, the DC Tower 1, are also located here.

I went to Vienna ten years ago and fell in love with the city. Never could come back. Thanks to you I can see the streets. Thank you thank you so much.
I’m glad you enjoyed watching it ✌🏼
There is something about walking in the snow that is so nice. And thank. you for the pans of architecture and neighborhoods. I wish there was some app that could track your walks on a Google Map and that could be linked in the description, then we could see the streets and locations. It would be nice. Not necessary, of course. Your walking videos remind me of my love for Vienna and the life-long impression the year in the city has made on my entire life. Enjoy your time in lovely Vienna. Thank you, anbax.
Thank you very much ✌🏼

i am so jealous as i did not experience snow here in London, horrible to walk but i miss the atmosphere walking on the snow.
Very nice. I like Wien. Thank you.
Nice tour !!!
Nice Walk !
Glad you enjoyed it!
All this modern architecture is soulless and forbidding even in summer, but in winter it’s worse. 🥶
I love hearing 👂 the crunch of footsteps on the SNOW. ❄ I prefer seeing the Old Town on these walks 🚶♂️ as it's picturesque....those concrete block buildings are not my vision of Vienna.....
I don't know how familiar you are with my channel, but I also have a snow video from the old town ruclips.net/video/S1JhohIKgso/видео.html
Sehr Gut ...

Dankeschön 😊
Nice ❤️
I took German in high school here in Canada over 40 years ago. Since then, I've noticed that too many English words have permeated into the German language. I know English has become the international language, but for goodness' sake, this is Vienna: why is it "Austria Centre" and not "Zentrum Oesterreichs"? "DC Tower Entrance" and not "DC Turm Eingang"?
That's indeed so and a pity, although I like English very much. From other countries, I know that they try to protect their own language more.
True, but this is filmed a stone throw form the United Nations center so it kinda makes sense, because thousands work there short term from all over the globe.
Darf ich den link in unserer Kaisermühlener Facebook Gruppe teilen.Ich glaube das würde viel Freude bereiten, und dir einige likes und follower bringen?!
1.000 danke.
Dankeschön! 🙏
no urban living. bad part of the city :o)
I hope they build more new buildings or skyscraper most thing that you see in Vienna are this old shit appartement from WW2 exept some new parts
There are very nice old buildings in Vienna, but maintaining them costs a lot of money that not everyone is willing to invest.
@@anbax yeah sure there are nice old buildings but there are many ugly too you can see them clearly often if you go through the city(not only the best part😂) they're gray black and about to crash and really frustrating all look the same.Specially those from WW2 😂
