You took us through the streets of beautiful Vienna during this last quite nasty year. No matter what the weather was! By doing this, you've made us all feeling a bit more relaxed and sane , and hopeful. Thank you, Andy!
Visited this area back in 2018 and the Votiv Church was having some repairs. Shame the round solid table in the park was vandalized. Cheers from Spain!
Love your videos, anbax. You’re a pro. I think the Votivkirche has had scaffolding for renovations for a long time. The back of the church, where the rennovation looks so nice-shows the importance of rennovation. I wonder if the church relies on private money for that work. Then only a couple of blocks from the church is the University of Vienna. I only lived a few blocks from Votivkirche (towards Rathhaus) and would sometimes take the streetcar to the nearby metro station stop. Vienna is so accessible whether by walking, strassebahn or metro. Finally, your walk through the Vienna parks, to the Hofburg, and then to the Kunst Historiche Museum and neatrby history museum-part of the walk was similar to one I used to do on weekends, walking to the Hochschule fur Musik to practice my instrument or work in the studio. How many cities have this kind of impressive architecture, culture and history? Ah, so many memories that your videos bring. Thanks again. Continue to be safe.
This is a very charming city, I hope I can visit again sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!

What is public safety like? I live in Hungary and you can hear a lot of contradictions here. According to the government, Vienna is a dangerous, dirty city. According to the Numbeo Crime Index, Vienna is no longer as clean and livable as it was 10-20 years ago, and many are homeless. I can see that the city is cleaner than Budapest, but there is also a lot of graffiti in Vienna. What do you think?
I think that it is not for nothing that Vienna has been voted the most livable city in the world so often. The city invests a lot in good infrastructure, such as education, public transport, good medical care, drinking water quality. As much as i like Budapest, i really like this city very much, so i think that the "average citizen" in Vienna has better chances for a good life. But that's just my personal opinion and it can also be wrong. We have no problem with homeless people, at least no more than any other city. From what I can judge from my point of view, Vienna is certainly a city that also takes care of the homeless. We also have no problem with crime. Vienna is a peaceful, safe city. Every city has its own charm and that is a good thing. Are you living in Budapest?
@@anbax I do not live in Budapest, but in a small town in the southern part of Hungary. I planned that when Covid was over, I would travel to Vienna. I’ve been to Austria before, but I haven’t seen the capital yet.
