I took German in high school here in Canada back in the late 1970s. The best teacher I ever had was my German teacher and I feel like we were taught "pure" German. I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but I'm dismayed by the amount of English on the signs in Vienna. Why, why, why do so many things have to be written in English in Vienna, for Pete's sake????
