Sorry to hear ! I hope a followers finds it and returns it ! Mate get another weekend on the same river you will find it unless it's fallen into the river ! Maybe put a safety cord through the zipper loop (on your carry case) and tie it onto the back pack loop on the top or your vest loop ! Exactly what we do for safety to secure our landing nets ! I hope It makes sense and it's another form of security if the straps give way!

Time to just go and splash out on whatever rod you want to replace it with and move on. We're funny, we spend a small fortune fly fishing but still cringe at the cost of a top rod. I know that felling. To save my line getting caught in the low bush, i cut my fly off & wound my line onto the reel. Tucking down to dodge the scrub I had my 4 piece Loomis tip facing back. At some point I realised the tip had got dislodged from the rod. Panic set in and I was lucky, I found the tip section after a nervous search. I use a canvas type covered rod tube that had a few good tie off points to make it secure. Man I hope a good samaritan anglet hands it in & posts it online. Cheers, great vids👌
