I'm literally eating a kebab from the Turkish bakery mentioned at 3:15 right now. Don't make the mistake I did and wait an entire semester before going there. Absolutely the best place to eat on or near campus.
Thank you for this absolutely good and helpful information! very entertaining vlog. I wish this channel would have hit me this year before my stay in Oslo! hope you continue to film (did you stop?). I hope for more oslopro productions.
thinking about joining this university for a summer class mainly to learn the Norwegian language and culture. this has been very informative. Very much appreciated, thanks !
That was just for the living expenses. Things like rent, books, food, and beer. Tuition was free for me, but I don't know about foreign students. I'm really no expert on these things, but there is information on their website: www.uio.no/english/
Thanks for this informative video. However I want to know that How competitive is this to get a chance to do a MS in Informatics for international students ??
Seam by be very great to Studie in Oslo Campus, I would be there to visite this main cultural beautiful Town. I like this Special Statue colunn, the Gymnastik , the Library but for sure less the Math building because I was null un maths,
Hi ! may I ask, do you know how much does it cost to stay at Blindern Dormitory? Also, how much does a typical student normally spends monthly at Oslo?
I really wanna go to a college in Norway but its difficult to find information about the courses and tuition and such. Does anyone know which website or person I can talk to?
The tuition fee is almost nothing, but cost of living in Norway is high. The University estimates that you need 10,000 NOK per month. www.uio.no/english/student-life/budget/index.html I think that would leave very little money for fun activities, but I guess it's possible. I spent a lot more. Fortunately I had a part-time job.
thank u bro iam interested in Software engineering so in the year would it cost more than 25000$ because really norway is great country and also it has a great nature and that is what i need .thank again
I checked my account, just for the hell of it. I spent about 27000$ (USD) each of my last years at UiO. That amount because it was all I could get my hands on :) I would think that you could live comfortably as a student in Norway for about 18000$. Some spend less, but if you like eating out and drinking, yeah..
@@OsloProJonas Please how much is the dormitory per month and also how fast can i get a job to get additional money as a masters student.. I also want to know how much i can make a year when i do part time job as a masters student.. Thank you
+fastravi Engineers have until recently been in high demand, I have no knowledge on other subjects. But Norway is in a small recession now because of the low oil price. Hundreds of engineers have been laid off just at the company I work in this year. Hard to tell about the future. Not speaking English isn't a problem.
+eduard1215 I wish I had the time, but I can't. I only have time to make videos during weekends, if the weather is nice. But don't worry, with your exotic accent other students will be dying to talk to you. Study groups or the Friday pubs on campus are great ways to meet people.
Not normally, but they can be rented, starting at 450/hour: www.sio.no/en/sports/personal-training-and-guidance/prices The group training/ circle training classes are included though.
hello brother. nice video . can you please tell me is it true norway government issue 6 months job search visa after doing masters degree ?? if yes then is it possible to get a job with in 6 months ??? please guide me i am planning to do masters from there but only this 6 months job search visa changes my mind ??
Hi! I tried to search the docs, but as you can see the law is complicated www.udiregelverk.no/en/documents/udi-circulars/rs-2010-101/ When I graduated I was officially a student for a few more months. I would guess that the visa is still valid then, but who knows for how long. If you could get a job depends highly on what industry you are in, preferably engineering. Norway is in a small recession right now because of the low oil prices. Hard to tell what the situation will be a few years from now.
That's gonna take about 15-20 minutes from the Blindern main square or Blindern Student Home, or 10-15 minutes from Domus Athletica or Vestgrensa Student Housing. Domus Medica is located slightly off campus, on the other side of the motorway (Ring 3).
Yes, there are some parking spots at Blindern. The largest is above Blindern Student Home in Problemveien, and it costs 12 NOK/hour. Some info on the UiO website: www.uio.no/english/about/maps/parking/index.html There are also some street parking around Blindern which is free, but it can be hard to find, and you would have to know the rules for street parking in Norway.
Hi! I really don't know how that process works. Take a look at www.uio.no/english/studies/admission/ or you could drop them a mail at international@admin.uio.no with your questions. Good luck bro.
so i gather from this short clip that you went to the university, you hated studying, you got an STD check but refused the condoms....what else. oh, we are only 3:33 in! there should be more!
i love how he cracks a joke yet his face is very flat though

+Oslopro what's your opinion on job scope in Norway for international students after masters in Oslo university. Especially who don't know Norwegian.
+fastravi Engineers have until recently been in high demand, I have no knowledge on other subjects. But Norway is in a small recession now because of the low oil price. Hundreds of engineers have been laid off just at the company I work in this year. Hard to tell about the future. Not speaking English isn't a problem.
I meant not speaking Norwegian isn't a problem, of course. :)
+OsloPro haha, I figured language part must be typo :) am thinking about taking either master's in computer science or an MBA.
Great video brother....I am from bangladesh and I want to study in the University as an international undergraduate....Can you please help??

that campus looks lonely tho
It was the day before summer vacation. Most students already done with exams.
If I want to use gym, will there be a trainer available at the gym??
Not normally, but they can be rented, starting at 450/hour: www.sio.no/en/sports/personal-training-and-guidance/prices
The group training/ circle training classes are included though.
+OsloPro ok thanks!!
Is it possible to eat at thé canteen even if you’re not a student ?
Yes. It's supposed to cost more then, but they almost never ask. If they do ask and, just say yes. It's not very strict.
Yes, I did it!

Hi Domus medica, how long far from there to walk

is there car parking possible inside the campus? as soon as will go there..
Yes, there are some parking spots at Blindern. The largest is above Blindern Student Home in Problemveien, and it costs 12 NOK/hour. Some info on the UiO website: www.uio.no/english/about/maps/parking/index.html
