  • 1.2 km of designer shops, chain stores, pubs, restaurants, cafes, and lots more. This west side street is one of the most well known in Norway. It is known as a high-end shopping street, but there are also the usual chain stores, and some unique little gems. The lower part of the street is named Hedgehaugveien, but it changes name to Bogstadveien after a few blocks. The whole street is commonly referred to just as Bogstadveien.
Although Bogstadveien (Hedgehaugveien) begins at the northeast corner of the park that surrounds the Royal Palace, surprisingly few tourists visit Bogstadveien. That makes it a great alternative to Karl Johans gate, which is alright, but let's face it, it's mainly for the tourists.
There are too many shops and venues to list in this description, but most of them are shown in this map: bogstadveien.no...
If you are looking particularly for Norwegian brands, you should check out the Moods of Norway Super Duper Store.
Bogstadveien ends at Majorstuen. Majorstuen is a major transportation hub, where all metro (T-bane) lines pass through. From there you can take the metro to downtown Oslo, or you can take the tram to Aker Brygge. There are also several bus routes that pass through here. The famous sculpture park, Vigelandsparken, is a 5-minute walk away from Majorstuen.

Wow Oslo has really changed since last I was there. Love your style of video. We need more of these regionally dedicated video guides in other cities. Keep up the good work!

Hadde tenkt å lage en "What's new in Oslo"-video i fjor sommer, men det gikk ikke an å reise hjem. Vi får ta det når grensene åpner.

Thanks! I've just uploaded another one. Couldn't think of any jokes this time though, I'm saving them for the Aker Brygge episode, much more to make fun of there.

Thank you! Your info fells my stay in Oslo a lot! It is a little sad that moods of Norway is bankrupt, I would like to buy a few shirts from them!

Thank you very much for the tips and information, I am going to visit Oslo in November and was clueless of where to go since I would be backpacking only for this trip. Coming from a 3rd world country where US$300 is the minimum wage, I find Moods of Norway too pricey though :(

OsloPro I wanted to ask you, are you a bit famous in Oslo? Do people recognize you when you walk around or during your filming?

No, not at all. One guy at the gym recognized me, but he had seen me around many times before. If anyone sees me, say hi!
