even in their feedbacks i always said what you're doing is perfect just keep it up and little bit of advice regarding the events so they could be more fun and what they might be missing. I never doubted their decision ever since the release I've been satisfied with the game.
So, unpopular opinion here, but I think the dead like atmosphere of Wuwa is what makes it unique, I love wandering around a dead world and finding espetacular sights that no one else has ever seen, after all, the lament happened, people died A LOT, and the world went to shit, finding the beauty hidden within this dreadful world is what makes it perfect for me. OK, yeah, maybe Rinascita will have a fun story, but I don't want this game to become Genshin with magical apparatus that are there just because. I hope we get some scientific explanation for what we see in Rinascita and that Kuro doesn't abandon the sense of dread that we feel when wandering the world because that's how it should be. IM HYPED, LETS GO

People say "dark, black, gloomy, and gray" there and there and forget Jinzhou faces a literal calamity for years. It's the same like Inazuma and Izumo.
The Fact that they gave Info about 2.0 faster than The Leaks just shows how quickly Kuro tries to fix and implement things. And The Region just looks absolutely Stunning. The Characters, Environment, Design and Even NPC's look unique and different to the ones we currently have right now... We are definitely in for a Treat in Rinascita 🔥
I used to burn out to play a game especially open world, but since wuwa i really get new enjoyment. Even a single post from wuthering wave page is really my daily dopamine because it's just me or anyone feel the same ways, i always waiting the content everyday.

I mean we literally got thrown into the reawakening of war. It's bound to be dark. I didn't expect much colors or glam during 1.0 arc. Now for 2.0 I am so READY. Maybe we won't be thrown straight into a war but rather a storm.
Gang it's the story for me. All I want in wuwa is a good story. Like how can you have such beautiful cutscenes and storytelling but not a high quality story that fit it
One thing i do need more of from kuro is...More male characters, Only 2 limited 5 stars is kinda crazy. I love my women, But i also like having cool looking dudes which is why male rover is still on my main team
Anyone saying gachas dead is either click baiting or brain dead. If anything we're entering the golden age of gacha gaming where the quality (both graphical and gameplay wise) is starting to rival console/PC gaming and the monetization is no where as predatory as it was juat 5 years ago (when most gachas never even heard of the word pity nvm actually giving the player premium items for free). In the next year or 2 there are probably over a dozen games that look to push the boundries of what a mobile game can and will be. Even excluding games like WuWa and even Genshin and HSR and just off the top of my head theres Azur Promelia, Duet Night Abyss, Neverness to Everness, Project Mugen, and Unending Dawn (and i know im missing a bunch of otner titles). So anyone who actualy believes gacha gaming is dying really needs to crawl out from whatever rock theyve been under for the past 9 to 12 months.
They probably never even played the 'amazing' IP-based gacha game, FGO, or summoner wars. That is what we call gambling with zero guaranteed. The fact that the number of upcoming open-word gacha games is increasing means that the budget is also increased. The phrase of 'the number of great game in 2024 is decreasing' probably more appropriate considering the nomination of the game of the year literally goes to elden ring DLC.

Hoyo improves their Games, ZZZ star rail and Honkai 3rd are best exmaple. So much free stuff, giant events. They give events in H3rd the sice of 4 wuwa events. Where people can do so much stuff. I dont play H3rd but my wife loves it because how good the game is. ZZZ team also does ANYTHING the players say. Sure they might be forced to do it since their game was getting backlash, but they still do it. Genshin is the only black sheep that didnt try.
I think my only complaint would be the lack of character interactions, 1.4 definitely had a chance to introduce that but for some reason all the characters interacted with Rover only, I wanna see like friendships between other characters or some trope like love/hate or whatever that would definitely allow the fandom to make more diverse content than just game updates/leaks, builds, comparing to competitors and whatnot
I’m just happy to see another male character…I mean it’ll probably be another five banners before another one (if Brant is, in fact, a five star) but still. And I don’t need someone to give me the whole “well the female characters make more money so-☝️🤓” lecture as if it hasn’t been said a million times. It’s just disappointing to see the lack of equal treatment in a game I really enjoy. But I am looking forward to this update, I have high hopes from what I’ve seen ❤
Funny, how I decided to quit the game after the reveal of the characters. Still aimed for gooners. 1 half assed designed man among 4 beautifully designed women is a joke for people who like men. Call me when they decide to actually add diversity to their character roster.
I really like WuWa, GI , and HSR. And something I’ve noticed is that these games will go through phases where they aren’t good then suddenly pop off. I feel that is how WuWa was and now they are entering their Pop off Era.
After losing the 50//50 3 times in a row I started losing motivation on Wuwa tbh. The characters they showed looks SO GOOD, my excitement came back again lol. The PS5 announcement was also a plus cause I was scared of running out of space on my small SSD for my laptop, but my 2 TB SSD on my PS5 will be happy to add Wuwa to it. Bless Kuro. EDIT: I have to type this because some people aren't understanding it from my pov. It doesn't matter if a gacha game is generous, when you(the player) start losing 50/50 back to back, can you force yourself to keep playing for a guaranteed after it happens 3 to 4 times in a row?. Wuwa's saving grace is their guaranteed weapon banner not their 50/50 character banner. This happened to both my friend and I with Wuwa except she took a break for months since she's been losing since the game started. She just randomly logged in and did 1 multi and won Camellya as her first 50/50. I play FGO a gacha known for it's terrible rates, but I play that game for story not it's gacha. I don't have to force myself to keep playing gacha when I have games going as far back as the PS2 on my backlog. I've taken breaks from Genshin every year since it's launch because I got bored or multiple 50/50 losses, it's not that big of a deal. I'll most likely go for my guaranteed since I see characters that interest me, but I know if I lose 50/50 a 4th time then I'm out for a few months or even a year in Wuwa. I don't keep playing if I'm not having fun.
I was in the same position, that's why spending for the subscription is worth it cause WuWa listens to their community. If players have spent thousands of money on Genshin and still getting scammed on the weapon banner, WuWa can never do that.
Wuwa is pretty generous with their pulls tho so even when I often lose 50/50 the only char I don't have is Yinlin as a f2p and I still have 11k asterites to spend.
Relatable. My excitement for the upcoming region and characters is still dulled by the 50/50 losses (never won EVEN ONCE). Took a break from the game after the Camellya banner failure, almost thought of quitting for good but decided to come back but under the condition that I'll no longer spend another cent until I win the next 50/50s consecutively to offset the earlier losses.
everygame i played SLA , WuWa, HSR and Zzz i never once winning the 50/50 tho its sometimes early so it does compensate a bit, make me wonder does it really 50/50 if you lose all of it
I don't think that including only 1 male character alongside 4 other females ,when the female to male ratio is already at 2 to 1, makes it a departure from gooner bait allegations. The character choices are still weird and make no sense. It seems like they just design the characters randomly, then try to find a way to include them in the story. I just hope the story is actually interesting this time, cuz currently the story is mid at best.

Honestly, you don't have to be a girl to enjoy male characters, some balance between male and female ratio would be extremely beneficial for kuro, especially now that love and deepspace has proven that male characters sell very well in the gacha market and have clearly succeeded, even overthrowing HSR for monthly revenue spike. It truly will be a shame if we continue to see this since they'll be missing a lot of engagement with some players who really find it an issue and I've seen many complain about this
As someone who has played genshin at release and wuwa at release, the first impressions were night and day dude. Genshin felt like a slot machine with the trappings of a game. Wuwa felt like a GAME (shocking) that chose gacha as the avenue to monetization to continue service. It's almost like having devs that are interested in their own game make a better game?

I admit Kuro does release fewer male characters....but when they releases one... 😘👌 Watanabe, Wanshi, Jiyan, Noctis, Roland, Lee, Calcharo, and Xiangli Yao to name a few I'm a female character enjoyed but man foes Kuro make male characters look cool af Let's also not forget the gameplay and skins (Cowboy Watanabe got me starry eyed🤩)
Camellya's story was gooner trash and the male/female character ratio is still embarrassing. I'm not apologizing for anything. I'll accept the neat carnival area as THEIR apology to ME.

Ngl I wasnt so high on WW when it first came out not because of the genshin clone comparisons but just because I didnt like Genshin so I thought I wouldnt like WW for the same reasons. But WW has proved me wrong and delivered every time so it has been my favorite gacha game since its release so looking forward to whats in store for Rinascita and the characters dripped for it. I am hoping for character roles, element and weapon combos we havent seen before. Animations wise Im sure theyll be peak so Im just more interested in their kit and what teams theyll slot into
Way too much copium, especially about the new region's "interactivity". We barely got a teaser. Stop inventing things which probably even devs are uncertain yet.
The funny thing is that I've already felt the game has been great since 1.1 (on PC, mind you). Of course it needed some fixing, adjusting, and plenty of QoL additions, and you had to reach the latter half of 1.0's story to get to the good content, but the core of the game was very solid from the beginning. It's just been building upon that base and creating enjoyable story content around it ever since. So with Kuro essentially stepping up to say "this is the area you've all been asking for" with them saying Rinascita was a collaborative effort between the devs and the feedback they've been accumulating since launch, I'm super excited to see what they've been cooking. Though I will say I'm in the minority that likes the darker aesthetic of Huanglong, I fully expect to enjoy the content in Rinascita given Kuro's track record post-launch. 2.0 here we come!
I never once associated a character's color with their element, so i never felt any betrayal with shorekeeper, as a matter of fact i had assumed she was spectro since the butterflies are light constructs. Another thing is that my first gacha was Honkai Impact 3rd, and one thing that game has shown, is that there's no correlation between a character's color and their attribute, so in most cases it's anyone's guess, unless we can predict through deductions
Kuro don't deserve an apology. It earned a second chance. The game is under delivered when it came out, don't get it twisted. But they worked for their 2nd chance, so no, from the perspective of a PGR player they deserve no apology, they earned my respect through hard work.

I had a great time from the first day of WuWa. If you had serious problems then that's sad, but don't think that everyone had them, bruv... It's fair point to bring how many issues were at the beginning, but you should know that many players were enjoying the game a lot even from day 1.

I will call out any dev or publisher releasing a game with this mentality. I like the dark atmosphere, that's why I love Arknights so much. However, I think we also need some variation. Dark atmospheres aren't always about ruins or deserted lands.. sometimes, they can appear colorful on the surface, while hiding something sinister underneath.

I don't know, I am actually worried about the departure from the post-apocalyptic setting in favour of merry dating simulator lite... It is way too early to judge but I am worried about Rinascita being so colorful and silly because I enjoyed the darker, more somber tone of WuWa's initial release. And the further we go, the more we lose that... As for 'departure from gooner-bait allegations'... Come on now, be honest. The new drip for Carlotta has her sitting with her legs up and her entire butt cheek out in view.

im not here to argue or to force my opinion. Just wanna let every wuwa enjoyer and youtuber know that let hoyo do whatever they want to genshin, stop comparing them and saying bad stuff about it no matter of you it's true just let them be because at the end of the day wuwa is still new, it has a whole new community so it's in our hands that we keep it clean. Whenever we become toxic and start to protect wuwa very hard it only comes off as *wuwa* having a toxic community. I've seen how bad communities in games can be specially after experiencing genshin's. This way many more players will want to join the game and make it more successful, if you want to make anyone play wuwa never say something like "it's better than this game" just suggest it and if they wanna okay if not oh well. If someone points out missing things and bad things about wuwa don't take them personally just note them because you can always post it in the subway because we know our words will be heard.
It's not the community of kuro and hoyo as a whole but a small % of them that either are only here for the sake of arguing cause they don't have anything better with their lives or are just kids that don't understand how stupid these arguments are. I never doubted them, but I will say you did bring up ideas that I am glad they listened to. Such as how the overworld is lifeless, which in their defense , Jinzhou is and it's surrounding area is a bit of a warzone, is it not? However, I love how lively Rinacita is shown to be! I also like the idea, that we're actually just going through the exposition of the main story! I hope they have a long storyboard for this!

yeah, that's what I fear, "Kuro listened" may back fire and turn a post apocalyptic game into another hyper saturated color game like genshin by listening too much to ex genshin players. they should strive to keep their own identity as a post apocalyptic game, have some few colorful places here and there, not every suggestion is worth taking.
I hope this game never dies because they're just amazing developers and the game has so much potential, as an ex Genshin player I've never felt more loved playing a gacha game, Kuro just knows how to treat their players ♥
i am really still concerned about the state of male characters...... i mean.... look at those roster of characters only one male character???? this is really concerning since one of the reason i did leave kuro's other franchise pgr is their lack of men compared to the women in game.... i truly hope it wont be like that in wuwa since i truly love the game!!!!

Also Scar’s stripe there looked awkward and out of place, from an artistic perspective. You don’t want your fanbase making fun of one of the bigger antagonists and calling them onigiri 💀 because of a fixable design aspect. It likely have very little to do with “fan service”. I would have been thrown off if I was on their team too and want to take that out - feeling like it’s a distraction from the role the character is supposed to play. People made too much of a big deal about it.

I don't think anyone said that wuwa character designs are gooner bait, they said that female characters's WRITING is too catery to the player. Wuwa's designs are on the acceptable spectrum of fanservice for gacha games, they just need to not make every female character obsessed with Rover. A well written female character is a thousand times more appealing than just a pretty doll to be thrown into the Mc's harem.
Ill believe it when i see it that the game will look more alive like the trailer when the game has trouble rendering people in till your 3 steps from them sometimes. I hope it gets optimized.
So far they been doing AMAZING in their game and they for sure need our money to make the game MUCH BETTER even tho the game is really good but sometimes it glitches it has it upside downs but I love it ❤😂.
Still missing a lot of features though. I honestly want to play this game, it is beautiful, but on top of the slasher combat which I dislike, they also ignore some basic issues like rotating minimap mode, moving the camera too close or too far (for example when you break ores or fight near the wall or foliage) and overall clunky targeting which makes you disoriented easily. Overall, I would enjoyed this game more if not for toxic community, always picking on genshin players for every little advantage their game has over the 4-year-old title.
Finally someone with common sense. The community is starting to become worse than Genshin's community, like the comments on every wuwa video I've seen glazes wuwa while putting down Genshin. It's quite worrying....

New player here ! Just started playing the game a few days ago another gonna lie , it’s been a LONG time since I truely enjoyed playing game as much as wuthering waves . , free 2 5* stars at the beginning itself , generous rewards , a heavy story with a lot of lore dump (it is taking a bit of time to get used to but it’s engaging ) , a “resin” system that doesn’t force me to login everyday just so I can spend my daily resin . Arguably infinite ways of artefact (echo) farming , for getting good stats that DONT necessarily require resin , a high rate up (as compared to other games )for the featured 5* character with only at 80 pity(which is quite low if you ask me ) . Engaging combat system with the integration of dodging and counter-attacking that i just can’t get enough of , a user interface that looks clean with NO ads and with an open world that actually feels fun to explore with not so challenging puzzles (as long as you are using your brain and looking around ) and if you have a high end device then a beautiful gameplay that feels semi-real as if you are playing on console/xbox , and further more the choice to skip story or side quests you don’t want to read or know about . Decent amount of content and you won’t get bored of doing , no need for min maxing to get maximum value as even decently invested(or even low in my case ) can clear story content and bosses , little to no need for gacha as you can even clear the game with just the starting characters with main character as a damage dealer . The only complaint I do have is the lack of a companion like pom-Pom (in honkai star rail) and Paimon ( in genshin impact ) that travels around with you as a friend , I feel a bit lonely when Rover just talks to himself in the middle of quests lol . Overall I like the game a lot and it seems i entered the fray at the right time since a bunch of new content is coming next patch xd.
i never ONCE doubted the game i am FORMER genshin player whose fav characters were beidou candace kazuha....anyone that feels dynamic and hack n slah, i am comabt enjoyer, i dun give 2 fs about anything else so when i saw what wuwa was in the cbt and now playing it, my godd its amazing, not laggy at all and i play on ipad, and to all those people that say its boring....are u joking like hello...fast paced rthymic combat, u can quickswap units and still see their animations play, u can cancel animations and u can counterattack enemies... its a freakin dance this game's combat !
You exude a crazy amount of optimism, my guy. I'm cautiously optimistic for now. In general, I think they have done some things pretty well, some things extremely well, but also some things not so well, including in the recent patches. I do think they've shown they have a good track record of implementing feedback though, which is good. But there are definitely some things that still need to be fixed up. No game is perfect and WuWa certainly isn't either, but I like the direction they're heading.
Actually one of the things I appreciate about Kuro design is they don’t do color coordination with the element of the character. I find it boring like red fire, light blue ice… etc. so yes it’s much more pleasing to they eye
Big up kuro and wutherings, they deserve it, but saying a hoyo banner is fomo feuled, as if wutherings arent is a bit silly considering every gacha game ever has fomo mechanics. Also gacha being dead in the latter half of 2024 is just doompost and engagement bait. Its not dead at all lol.

Let's be honest. Hoyo is like some huge restaurant net. They have a lot of founding and you enjoy their food. But Kuro is like a 5 star restaurant. They cook the best things they can and you can't just get enough of it. In wuwa and also in pgr they show us, that they can cook and they can do it really good.
nah wuwa sucks, I play it every day and the story is getting even worse. the teaser just shows how the harem story goes on all the girls look like they gonna fall in love with rover and it will be the same story as we had the last 2 patches. fontaine was actually fucked up if you think abt it. the whole vibrant / lively setting were meant to hide the fact that the entire nation might drown at some point. once the curtains were close, the truth was revealed in a spectacular catastrophe, ignoring the logic behind a massive flood happening on top of a mostly flat plateau ofc.
It is nice they show they can make good looking char without needing to be half dressed, don't get me wrong i like me some skin it's just nice to have cool looks that are a bit less twitter like lol. With the inclusion of rinascita characters. 3 new male characters and 12 new female characters since WuWa's release is WAY to big of a gap. 1 out of 4 characters are male. The semi balanced gender ratio at the beginning of the game feels like massive bait to bring in the female audience. As cool as the pirate guy is. It's not enough. This has been my one and only issue with WuWa. They don't seem to have any plans of changing that anytime soon. There should have been at least 2 male characters revealed for Rinascita not 1. I refuse to apologize for wanting an even gender ratio balance for this game after they baited me and other female players into playing their game with an even gender ratio balance. At this point I'm not even asking for 1:1 gender balance. I'll even take a 1:2 gender ratio. 1:4 though?? I've known numerous amounts of women who had quit WuWa, because they refuse to release male characters. You can't bait the husbando part of the gacha community into your game, give them a 1:4 Male:Female ratio, and expect them to be happy about it. You either tap into the husbando market and commit with an even ratio or you stay a waifu collector game and appease the incels. You can't have it both ways. All mainstream gacha games have this issue, but WuWa has it particularly bad. The one that's got it worst is ZZZ who explicitly said they weren't going to release many male characters from the jump. To give Hoyoverse credit. At least they were honest about their intentions with ZZZ and didn't bait female players into the game with the expectation of a fair gender balance only to rip the rug out from underneath them and hit them with a 1:4 ratio balance.

There needs to be more male characters. The only male character I dont have is Lingyang since I have been unfortunate enough to not lose my 50/50 to him. (I should have chosen him as my free 5 star)
I'm a PS5 player, and I have been waiting for Wuthering Waves to release forever. I really hope it's close to the new region's release, these characters look insanely cool!
Never had a problem with the darker themes, however I have to admit that the Black Shores were a bit too monochrome for my tastes, so a bright spot of color is appreciated. My biggest gripe, with basically all open world gacha games currently, is the severe drought of male playable characters.
I too, love a game that goes from post-apocalyptic wasteland barely holding on against complete destruction to Disney theme park levels of vibrant life. No dissonance there at all.

I think if anything, Genshin kills itself. I took a long break from Genshin and got back at a time when Fontaine just wrapped up. I binged that region's story quest so hard and felt like they knocked it out of the park. Took a break again and came back to the new region being incredibly confusing. Wuwa itself progressing is no doubt awesome in that it wasn't a quick cash grab. I'm really digging the unique character kits so far.
imo wuwa was never bad. just lacked some optimised which they fixed to a great extent, but also the start of the game was just HELLA abrupt. i still remember that day, the game started so weirdly. but obviously once youre in the game its great. this is not a genshin rip off because this game lets you focus on what youn LIKE about the game. for me, combat. unlike genshin which serves everything in a balance, but forces story quests on you, regardless of how good they may be. over time WUWA definitely differentiated itself from the scene.

So, unpopular opinion here, but I think the dead like atmosphere of Wuwa is what makes it unique, I love wandering around a dead world and finding espetacular sights that no one else has ever seen, after all, the lament happened, people died A LOT, and the world went to shit, finding the beauty hidden within this dreadful world is what makes it perfect for me. OK, yeah, maybe Rinascita will have a fun story, but I don't want this game to become Genshin with magical apparatus that are there just because. I hope we get some scientific explanation for what we see in Rinascita and that Kuro doesn't abandon the sense of dread that we feel when wandering the world because that's how it should be.

Anyone saying gachas dead is either click baiting or brain dead. If anything we're entering the golden age of gacha gaming where the quality (both graphical and gameplay wise) is starting to rival console/PC gaming and the monetization is no where as predatory as it was juat 5 years ago (when most gachas never even heard of the word pity nvm actually giving the player premium items for free).
In the next year or 2 there are probably over a dozen games that look to push the boundries of what a mobile game can and will be. Even excluding games like WuWa and even Genshin and HSR and just off the top of my head theres Azur Promelia, Duet Night Abyss, Neverness to Everness, Project Mugen, and Unending Dawn (and i know im missing a bunch of otner titles). So anyone who actualy believes gacha gaming is dying really needs to crawl out from whatever rock theyve been under for the past 9 to 12 months.
They probably never even played the 'amazing' IP-based gacha game, FGO, or summoner wars. That is what we call gambling with zero guaranteed. The fact that the number of upcoming open-word gacha games is increasing means that the budget is also increased.

I think my only complaint would be the lack of character interactions, 1.4 definitely had a chance to introduce that but for some reason all the characters interacted with Rover only, I wanna see like friendships between other characters or some trope like love/hate or whatever that would definitely allow the fandom to make more diverse content than just game updates/leaks, builds, comparing to competitors and whatnot

Funny, how I decided to quit the game after the reveal of the characters. Still aimed for gooners. 1 half assed designed man among 4 beautifully designed women is a joke for people who like men. Call me when they decide to actually add diversity to their character roster.
I really like WuWa, GI , and HSR. And something I’ve noticed is that these games will go through phases where they aren’t good then suddenly pop off. I feel that is how WuWa was and now they are entering their Pop off Era.
After losing the 50//50 3 times in a row I started losing motivation on Wuwa tbh. The characters they showed looks SO GOOD, my excitement came back again lol. The PS5 announcement was also a plus cause I was scared of running out of space on my small SSD for my laptop, but my 2 TB SSD on my PS5 will be happy to add Wuwa to it. Bless Kuro.
EDIT: I have to type this because some people aren't understanding it from my pov. It doesn't matter if a gacha game is generous, when you(the player) start losing 50/50 back to back, can you force yourself to keep playing for a guaranteed after it happens 3 to 4 times in a row?. Wuwa's saving grace is their guaranteed weapon banner not their 50/50 character banner. This happened to both my friend and I with Wuwa except she took a break for months since she's been losing since the game started. She just randomly logged in and did 1 multi and won Camellya as her first 50/50.
I play FGO a gacha known for it's terrible rates, but I play that game for story not it's gacha. I don't have to force myself to keep playing gacha when I have games going as far back as the PS2 on my backlog. I've taken breaks from Genshin every year since it's launch because I got bored or multiple 50/50 losses, it's not that big of a deal. I'll most likely go for my guaranteed since I see characters that interest me, but I know if I lose 50/50 a 4th time then I'm out for a few months or even a year in Wuwa. I don't keep playing if I'm not having fun.
I was in the same position, that's why spending for the subscription is worth it cause WuWa listens to their community. If players have spent thousands of money on Genshin and still getting scammed on the weapon banner, WuWa can never do that.

Relatable. My excitement for the upcoming region and characters is still dulled by the 50/50 losses (never won EVEN ONCE). Took a break from the game after the Camellya banner failure, almost thought of quitting for good but decided to come back but under the condition that I'll no longer spend another cent until I win the next 50/50s consecutively to offset the earlier losses.

I don't think that including only 1 male character alongside 4 other females ,when the female to male ratio is already at 2 to 1, makes it a departure from gooner bait allegations. The character choices are still weird and make no sense. It seems like they just design the characters randomly, then try to find a way to include them in the story. I just hope the story is actually interesting this time, cuz currently the story is mid at best.

You're telling me the whole city of jinzhou is ran by half naked girls with huge boobs and buttcheeks?! Honestly, you don't have to be a girl to enjoy male characters, some balance between male and female ratio would be extremely beneficial for kuro, especially now that love and deepspace has proven that male characters sell very well in the gacha market and have clearly succeeded, even overthrowing HSR for monthly revenue spike. It truly will be a shame if we continue to see this since they'll be missing a lot of engagement with some players who really find it an issue and I've seen many complain about this

As someone who has played genshin at release and wuwa at release, the first impressions were night and day dude. Genshin felt like a slot machine with the trappings of a game. Ngl I wasnt so high on WW when it first came out not because of the genshin clone comparisons but just because I didnt like Genshin so I thought I wouldnt like WW for the same reasons. But WW has proved me wrong and delivered every time so it has been my favorite gacha game since its release so looking forward to whats in store for Rinascita and the characters dripped for it. I am hoping for character roles, element and weapon combos we havent seen before. Animations wise Im sure theyll be peak so Im just more interested in their kit and what teams theyll slot into

The funny thing is that I've already felt the game has been great since 1.1 (on PC, mind you). Of course it needed some fixing, adjusting, and plenty of QoL additions, and you had to reach the latter half of 1.0's story to get to the good content, but the core of the game was very solid from the beginning. It's just been building upon that base and creating enjoyable story content around it ever since. So with Kuro essentially stepping up to say "this is the area you've all been asking for" with them saying Rinascita was a collaborative effort between the devs and the feedback they've been accumulating since launch, I'm super excited to see what they've been cooking. Though I will say I'm in the minority that likes the darker aesthetic of Huanglong, I fully expect to enjoy the content in Rinascita given Kuro's track record post-launch. 2.0 here we come!
I never once associated a character's color with their element, so i never felt any betrayal with shorekeeper, as a matter of fact i had assumed she was spectro since the butterflies are light constructs.
Another thing is that my first gacha was Honkai Impact 3rd, and one thing that game has shown, is that there's no correlation between a character's color and their attribute, so in most cases it's anyone's guess, unless we can predict through deductions
Kuro don't deserve an apology. It earned a second chance. The game is under delivered when it came out, don't get it twisted. But they worked for their 2nd chance, so no, from the perspective of a PGR player they deserve no apology, they earned my respect through hard work.

I had a great time from the first day of WuWa. If you had serious problems then that's sad, but don't think that everyone had them, bruv... It's fair point to bring how many issues were at the beginning, but you should know that many players were enjoying the game a lot even from day 1.

I like the dark atmosphere, that's why I love Arknights so much. However, I think we also need some variation. Dark atmospheres aren't always about ruins or deserted lands.. sometimes, they can appear colorful on the surface, while hiding something sinister underneath.

I don't know, I am actually worried about the departure from the post-apocalyptic setting in favour of merry dating simulator lite... It is way too early to judge but I am worried about Rinascita being so colorful and silly because I enjoyed the darker, more somber tone of WuWa's initial release. And the further we go, the more we lose that...

im not here to argue or to force my opinion. Just wanna let every wuwa enjoyer and youtuber know that let hoyo do whatever they want to genshin, stop comparing them and saying bad stuff about it no matter of you it's true just let them be because at the end of the day wuwa is still new, it has a whole new community so it's in our hands that we keep it clean.
Whenever we become toxic and start to protect wuwa very hard it only comes off as *wuwa* having a toxic community. I've seen how bad communities in games can be specially after experiencing genshin's. This way many more players will want to join the game and make it more successful, if you want to make anyone play wuwa never say something like "it's better than this game" just suggest it and if they wanna okay if not oh well. If someone points out missing things and bad things about wuwa don't take them personally just note them because you can always post it in the subway because we know our words will be heard.
It's not the community of kuro and hoyo as a whole but a small % of them that either are only here for the sake of arguing cause they don't have anything better with their lives or are just kids that don't understand how stupid these arguments are. Let's also not forget to thank the content creators for fanning the flames even if jokingly for the most part but still contributing to the two sided war.
Dude seriously. I played genshin for 4 years and now I'm playing Wuwa and to see this community and these creators do exactly what Genshins community did is super disappointing. I like the game but the toxic positively is even worse here than genshin and that's kind of bonkers

I never doubted them, but I will say you did bring up ideas that I am glad they listened to. Such as how the overworld is lifeless, which in their defense , Jinzhou is and it's surrounding area is a bit of a warzone, is it not? However, I love how lively Rinacita is shown to be! I also like the idea, that we're actually just going through the exposition of the main story! I hope they have a long storyboard for this!

yeah, that's what I fear, "Kuro listened" may back fire and turn a post apocalyptic game into another hyper saturated color game like genshin by listening too much to ex genshin players. they should strive to keep their own identity as a post apocalyptic game, have some few colorful places here and there, not every suggestion is worth taking.

Also Scar’s stripe there looked awkward and out of place, from an artistic perspective. You don’t want your fanbase making fun of one of the bigger antagonists and calling them onigiri 💀 because of a fixable design aspect. It likely have very little to do with “fan service”. I would have been thrown off if I was on their team too and want to take that out - feeling like it’s a distraction from the role the character is supposed to play. People made too much of a big deal about it.

I don't think anyone said that wuwa character designs are gooner bait, they said that female characters's WRITING is too catery to the player. Wuwa's designs are on the acceptable spectrum of fanservice for gacha games, they just need to not make every female character obsessed with Rover. A well written female character is a thousand times more appealing than just a pretty doll to be thrown into the Mc's harem.
Ill believe it when i see it that the game will look more alive like the trailer when the game has trouble rendering people in till your 3 steps from them sometimes. I hope it gets optimized.
So far they been doing AMAZING in their game and they for sure need our money to make the game MUCH BETTER even tho the game is really good but sometimes it glitches it has it upside downs but I love it ❤😂.
Still missing a lot of features though. I honestly want to play this game, it is beautiful, but on top of the slasher combat which I dislike, they also ignore some basic issues like rotating minimap mode, moving the camera too close or too far (for example when you break ores or fight near the wall or foliage) and overall clunky targeting which makes you disoriented easily. Overall, I would enjoyed this game more if not for toxic community, always picking on genshin players for every little advantage their game has over the 4-year-old title.
Finally someone with common sense. The community is starting to become worse than Genshin's community, like the comments on every wuwa video I've seen glazes wuwa while putting down Genshin. It's quite worrying....

New player here ! Just started playing the game a few days ago another gonna lie , it’s been a LONG time since I truely enjoyed playing game as much as wuthering waves . , free 2 5* stars at the beginning itself , generous rewards , a heavy story with a lot of lore dump (it is taking a bit of time to get used to but it’s engaging ) , a “resin” system that doesn’t force me to login everyday just so I can spend my daily resin . Arguably infinite ways of artefact (echo) farming , for getting good stats that DONT necessarily require resin , a high rate up (as compared to other games )for the featured 5* character with only at 80 pity(which is quite low if you ask me ) . Engaging combat system with the integration of dodging and counter-attacking that i just can’t get enough of , a user interface that looks clean with NO ads and with an open world that actually feels fun to explore with not so challenging puzzles (as long as you are using your brain and looking around ) and if you have a high end device then a beautiful gameplay that feels semi-real as if you are playing on console/xbox , and further more the choice to skip story or side quests you don’t want to read or know about . Decent amount of content and you won’t get bored of doing , no need for min maxing to get maximum value as even decently invested(or even low in my case ) can clear story content and bosses , little to no need for gacha as you can even clear the game with just the starting characters with main character as a damage dealer . The only complaint I do have is the lack of a companion like pom-Pom (in honkai star rail) and Paimon ( in genshin impact ) that travels around with you as a friend , I feel a bit lonely when Rover just talks to himself in the middle of quests lol . Overall I like the game a lot and it seems i entered the fray at the right time since a bunch of new content is coming next patch xd.

You exude a crazy amount of optimism, my guy. I'm cautiously optimistic for now. In general, I think they have done some things pretty well, some things extremely well, but also some things not so well, including in the recent patches. I do think they've shown they have a good track record of implementing feedback though, which is good. But there are definitely some things that still need to be fixed up. No game is perfect and WuWa certainly isn't either, but I like the direction they're heading.

Actually one of the things I appreciate about Kuro design is they don’t do color coordination with the element of the character. I find it boring like red fire, light blue ice… etc. so yes it’s much more pleasing to they eye

Let's be honest. Hoyo is like some huge restaurant net. They have a lot of founding and you enjoy their food. But Kuro is like a 5 star restaurant. They cook the best things they can and you can't just get enough of it. In wuwa and also in pgr they show us, that they can cook and they can do it really good.

fontaine was actually fucked up if you think abt it. the whole vibrant / lively setting were meant to hide the fact that the entire nation might drown at some point. once the curtains were close, the truth was revealed in a spectacular catastrophe, ignoring the logic behind a massive flood happening on top of a mostly flat plateau ofc.

With the inclusion of rinascita characters. 3 new male characters and 12 new female characters since WuWa's release is WAY to big of a gap. 1 out of 4 characters are male. The semi balanced gender ratio at the beginning of the game feels like massive bait to bring in the female audience. As cool as the pirate guy is. It's not enough. This has been my one and only issue with WuWa. They don't seem to have any plans of changing that anytime soon. There should have been at least 2 male characters revealed for Rinascita not 1. I refuse to apologize for wanting an even gender ratio balance for this game after they baited me and other female players into playing their game with an even gender ratio balance. At this point I'm not even asking for 1:1 gender balance. I'll even take a 1:2 gender ratio. 1:4 though?? I've known numerous amounts of women who had quit WuWa, because they refuse to release male characters. You can't bait the husbando part of the gacha community into your game, give them a 1:4 Male:Female ratio, and expect them to be happy about it. You either tap into the husbando market and commit with an even ratio or you stay a waifu collector game and appease the incels. You can't have it both ways. All mainstream gacha games have this issue, but WuWa has it particularly bad. The one that's got it worst is ZZZ who explicitly said they weren't going to release many male characters from the jump. To give Hoyoverse credit. At least they were honest about their intentions with ZZZ and didn't bait female players into the game with the expectation of a fair gender balance only to rip the rug out from underneath them and hit them with a 1:4 ratio balance.
Watch out for the replys and be prepared on what 'those' players are gonna say to you after you complain about the male ratio. You might need it. 😅

There needs to be more male characters. The only male character I dont have is Lingyang since I have been unfortunate enough to not lose my 50/50 to him. (I should have chosen him as my free 5 star)

I'm a PS5 player, and I have been waiting for Wuthering Waves to release forever. I really hope it's close to the new region's release, these characters look insanely cool!
Never had a problem with the darker themes, however I have to admit that the Black Shores were a bit too monochrome for my tastes, so a bright spot of color is appreciated. My biggest gripe, with basically all open world gacha games currently, is the severe drought of male playable characters.
I too, love a game that goes from post-apocalyptic wasteland barely holding on against complete destruction to Disney theme park levels of vibrant life. No dissonance there at all.

I think if anything, Genshin kills itself. I took a long break from Genshin and got back at a time when Fontaine just wrapped up. I binged that region's story quest so hard and felt like they knocked it out of the park. Took a break again and came back to the new region being incredibly confusing.
Wuwa itself progressing is no doubt awesome in that it wasn't a quick cash grab. I'm really digging the unique character kits so far.
imo wuwa was never bad. just lacked some optimised which they fixed to a great extent, but also the start of the game was just HELLA abrupt. i still remember that day, the game started so weirdly. but obviously once youre in the game its great. this is not a genshin rip off because this game lets you focus on what youn LIKE about the game. for me, combat. unlike genshin which serves everything in a balance, but forces story quests on you, regardless of how good they may be. over time WUWA definitely differentiated itself from the scene.
