Already at 8 hours in and haven't done a single story mission, just been causing chaos and making enemies. Great game so far, lots to do and Nemesis difficulty is pretty rough. The micro transactions are a non-issue, absolutely not necessary to enjoy the game.
Already beat the game...when is Shadow of Sauron coming out?

I keep killing the captains and they keep coming back. I've died like 4 or 5 times and I still haven't finished the first city.
Although I'm constantly having to fight like 3 or 4 captains at one time too.
Darrell G Yeah, at some point, you just have to do the missions to move forward. I also get completely lost in building up my own force and getting revenge on captains who’ve pissed me off lol
So glad i waited a year to play this game, im never playing a day 1 game again

@@jacklondon2735 easy to grasp, harder to master, the difficulty depends on your strategy, if you dont plan your attacks well, you will die quickly
Pro tip: play on nemesis difficulty. Makes the game challenging in a good way.

Shadow of mordor and war is pretty much only game which can make me rage.. captains spawn out of nowhere and always at least 5 levels higher than you are. You fight a few mobs and boom another captain....Today i almost broke my controller

So glad the complete version comes with a Galadriel skin, I really dont like the main character design, now I can play not only as an elf but as Galadriel herself! this is awesome.
Pablo De Bella It’s Eltariel, who is basically Galadriel’s personal assassin. It’s all in the Blade of Galadriel expansion. Anyway, when you play with her skin in the main campaign, she still speaks with the voice of the main male character, which is a pretty funny oversight lol.

Your tip is to upgrade elvin agility when the story makes you upgrade it from the start. You can really tell who has actually played the game and who hasnt on these channels.

It's like the biggest sites do the least work. I realized that after getting on twitter. I'd read stories in the morning, then that night or the next day, it would be big news.

Anybody know how to implement your nemesis from the first game?
It unlocked 18 hours ago for me, and i have 5 hours into it so far. I got the gold edition, still have no regrets. From all the research I've done and seeing both sides, the main issue for this is microtransactions, and the biggest issue with that is that it "bars you from the true ending". This is wrong. Not only can you fairly quickly farm Mirian (or anything else in the game, for that matter), but you don't "need" it, it just makes barrage of assaults easier in the final act. You could literally just grab mirian as you find it throughout the game and be able to coast by on that amount through the last act. Not only this, but microtransactions don't even always give legendary orcs (according to one reviewer he bought some boxes and they had crap). Now, I'm not in the final act yet of course, so that will be tested more later, but from what i've seen, you either like playing the game and its occasional grindiness, or you don't.
Bull fucking shit. Loot boxes ALWAYS give at least one legendary. It's says so itself in the store. Check the 500 Gold box or something. It is the most reliable method to get legendary orc Leader as long as you have money in your bank account.
The problem is that there is NO reliable way as of right now to guarantee a Legendary Orc by playing the game. Some people suggest that you can try out a tactic where you will feed yourself to an Orc Leader (let him kill you) over and over and over so he will level up to Legendary and then you can recruit him. This is, again, a lot of RNGs and not very reliable, but the best method so far. But as you can imagine, it's not very fun when you let an Orc butt fucks you over and over and over in a game where you are suppose to kill them.
That's where the P2W problem comes from. You want to be grinding 10 hours and being miserable playing a video game? Go ahead. Or play up like $50 - $100 and have more fun grinding. Sure that isn't like a shady practice or anything.
Alien there are quite a lot of enemies u can kill that drop these legendaries mostly the ones u fight that guard the forts on top of which there are mission you can do that award legendaries and also challenges so yea there are quite a lot of reliable ways to get them in only 6 hours in and I got 6 legendaries.
Alien look, a naysayer that doesn't have the game, you're most of the time better off getting your own uruks, since the ones in chests are literal hoeseshit compared to what you can find. Legendary orcs are flooding the game world even in the first fucking level. Shut the hell up and come with some goddamn evidence before calling bullshit
Gamekeeper theres no bright side on a game with micro transactions. Stop justifying it. Its a great game for sure. But people dont like seeing that shit in every game, especially on single player games. Just say you like the game and having fun on it, the downside is the presence of micro transactions. Dont try to persuade people to play it. Because the more people like you praise shit like this, we’ll end up with more games that has micro transactions.

You have to get to Act II first, then you'll get the champions I believe.

Nah I just used the American-Indian attack strategy until finally at lvl 13 I learned how to upgrade and swap my stuff out.(I turned off hints) and then boom never felt so op in a game before especially when you become the Nazgul of Minos Ithil

When I'm 'defeated' and get a chance to stand up, the game tells you which button to press. But whenever I do it, it fails and I get killed every time :@

You have to wait for the outside circle that closes to line up with the inner one before pressing that button. In the case of Caragors, you have to repeatedly tap the button and then do this as it is a two step last chance process. Hope this helps.

I can't imagine how the creators of such an amazing game like Shadow of Mordor actually managed to fuck this up. The nemesis system, gameplay, combat and basically everything made the first game fantastic are there, but they made the idiotic mistake of adding microtransactions, so now all that glory and excitement are buried under a load of crap that you've got to pay to clear up
Warner Bros, whenever a good game fucks something up, 9/10 times it's the Publisher's fault
Publishers are the corporate greedy fucks that do this shit.

Nemesis if you want a challenge, Brutal if that challenge isn't enough and Gravewalker if you are sadistic.
Suspicious Superintendent Yeah Nemesis and Normal are the best 4 me. Easy is junk, while Brutal and Gravewalker are not fun if u focusin on the story. Well Brutal is ok too maybe but Gravewalker is just crazy 😅😅😅😅 More like 4 hardcore combat. Thanks anyway

Malcolm McCorkle i just got the hood some cloaks especially the ones with the ripped ends have a hood once you upgrade them. I got my entire set of vengance armor n weapons from online vendetta missions. My only compiants are some of the upgrade requirements are stupid and now my Talion looks less like a Gondor rangers and more like the hand of sauron😑

Am I the only one who thinks the stealth system requires a heavy hold on the trigger? The slightest budge will have talion standing right back up for some reason. I thought it was my controller at first, but it apparently isn’t the case.

Aaron Duran so it’s most likely your controller. I had this same problem with mine, I had a Day 1 controller and after a while the rubber under the trigger wears down and requires you to damn near break it to get an action to happen, unfortunately you’ll have to get a new controller or figure out how you can change the rubber yourself

I've been having a blast with this game already, I do have one question though... Has anyone had trouble with countering ologs? The blue icon that appears when I fight doesn't appear to indicate that I press Y (on Xbox) because I haven't actually had that work yet. I do play with only fx on so maybe I need to turn on the combat hints but idk
That's because you cannot counter Ologs. On PC you need to press E, which is the button for the wraith stun. When the blue icon pops up, you need to stun them, that's the only way you can "counter" them.

But so far normal mode is extremely easy for me but that's cause I beat the first game 3 times so I know all the mechanics and tricks lol

Everyone complaining about the loot boxes, they’re literally pointless therefore just play the game like you normally would and it really doesn’t affect the grind at all. Literally the games awesome, if you like the first game you’ll love this game case closed. Loot boxes are easily ignored and literally see no point too them, and doesn’t force you to grind at all more than you would in the first game.
People are not protesting the microtransactions being "Pay2Win".
People are protesting the very idea that game publishers are greedy enough to charge consumers more on top of the $60 price tag plus the $100+ worth of season passes.
Those who still support the game by implication support the publishers doing this bullshit. It's short-sighted not to see that.

I don't support micro transactions at all but try to think about it from a business stand point. Now we don't have to be rational and just suck up their greedy business tactics. But all the businessmen are like this. The only thing that matters to them is to make more money no matter how. The best we could do to our power is not buy the loot crates. I think even DLCs are unjust to buyers like use if not done right. But that's the business. They don't care about us or the game at all. They publish the game and have power over the developers and all we gotta do is just ignore all the greedy practices and be content with the main game :/ who knows maybe if they see that no ones buying their "loot crates" they won't put it in the next game

So, how is this game different than the previous one? So far is its pretty much the same old stuff.
From what i see and hear it is harder especially on hard mode, the fort assaults obviously and maybe other minor things. Also a better nemesis system
