Playing this game for the first time in 2019 and yes I got my ass handed to me early on many times

Except it's Monolth's first game based on Middle-earth and they already nailed the combat, something AC is struggling to this day to do right. It's miles ahead of AC in this - most entertaining - regard.
I was yelling at people saying the way you move and fight is like assassins creed. Well now that i got my hands on the game love it but yeah the way you move is more or less assassins creed.
NeOmega Well yes, that's why I said it's one of the best. It's basically Assassins Creed that has Batman Arkham series combat with some more abilities and the game actually focuses on assassinating orc unlinearly (you set your own targets, different orcs each time you play, you can even manipulate it). It's a fun game, but you can't deny that it borrowed shitton from AC/Batman games.

Can't believe how ungrateful, spiteful and down right ignorant some people are in the comments - they think just because THEY don't need or want a guide that other people shouldn't need one! Maybe some people like the game and just need some tips/tricks and other might want to see what kind of game it is before buying or maybe some peeps are just completely stuck on it and need help (it's not like it's an easy game after all). If you don't like or appreciate something just move on instead of ruining it for everyone else and complaining sheesh! I found this guide helpful anyway so thanks!

It looks and runs great at 4k 60fps on ultra settings with HD texture pack installed on a modern PC. Only the cutscenes look a bit dated as a result of them being pre-rendered at 1080p. Strangely the second game (Shadow of War) doesnt look as good on similar settings or run anywhere near as well (animations are a lot jankier as well). Makes me wonder if they used a new Dev team/engine for it.

Yep bro i played for 30 hours and 100% agree this ain't assasin's creed but yep this game make me feel sooo adventurous cause of it looking like an AC game but has a whole different fight chances a that prince of persia jump is sooo cool .. still playing this
Rly helpful tips! However gr8 this game is, it can be confusing at first. There are many tasks available almost directly and it can be hard to choose the "easier" one for your current lvl

Been looking at this game lately and noticing that the environments look pretty lack luster in the gameplay footage. Can anyone comment on weather the scenery gets richer and more diverse, towns, taverns and such?
It's Mordor, so not really.
Its pretty like batman arkham city the map layout no towns or anything I have beat it. Took me two days and have about 60% complete on that grind but imagine if a polished assassin's creed had a baby with batman arkham games this is what youd get basically but what sets it apart is the nemesis system the AI is brillant and you never experience anything like it a game and itll keep you coming back for more just slaying war chiefs and captains and feeling the real connection between you and him is amazing
Without spoiling, I will say the second map of the game is much more lush and pretty.
Thanks man. Hard to get a response that covers what im talking about. Although i know its predominantly set in Mordor the lands still has deep character that would be a shame not to flesh out.

It’s like it tries to be a sorta dark souls, but it just over complicated things for literally no reason, i beat sekiro with backwards controls but my ape brain can’t beat quick time events when they’re based on hopeful chance that you mashed the right buttons.

It's weird that I like this game but I didn't enjoy or finish arkham city or assassins creed.
This game is very interesting in the beginning but some what in the middle it turns liitle bit boring and complicated, its gameplay is simlar to batman arkham and assassin's creed but this game more difficult than these...

I bought the game yesterday but it says I requier to install another comtent to plats it, I can only play it in the beginnig ontill the character becommes a ghost and then it says I need to install something else, but what?

I know this is an old game but i just started playing the game And im already having difficulty with interrogating bosses in The biggining of The story plus its so hard And it wont let you practice your skills

I have now entered my 16 HOUR of this game.... I can't do it anymore I have slept haha but seriously I have done all this tryed different tactics each time when im in fights and always the same outcome... Death :'(

I've been thinking about getting a controller for this game because it's so odd with the keyboard. I've been trying to find anywhey on how to map the keyboard controls in the settings but I really would like to know if a controller would even be worth it.
This game isnt for the faint of heart it can be challenging. But me beung a seasoned video game Veteran Been 2 days and beat it with about 60% of the game complete on that grind!. Will go for full 100% Great game imagined if a polished assassin's creed game had a baby with batman arkham city and this is what youd get but the nemesis system is something unlike we have never seen before and will certainly pave the way going forward.

How do runes work? I know you get them by defeating captains but you get a rune depending on the weapon you use to deal the final blow? For example if you kill a captain with a dagger you get a dagger rune?
this is a good question. im not sure exactly. i almost want to say its random. its just that they are better based on how much harder the boss is your going for.
They're random.
Hey yes you are right the final blow is what it counts for your weapon runes ( i think). But what kind of runes you get for that weapon rune are random =) So if you kill with sword you get sword rune but with random stats, if you kill with arrow you get arrow rune but with random stats and so on.
Not the final blow, i've found out. But if, say, a captain is vulnerable to stealth attacks and you use at least one stealth attack on him, even if he doesn't die from it, you'll get a dagger rune. And so on.
Basically, you get runes from exploring captain's weaknesses.
LipeM07 but ive killed random captains and gotten runes out of them.
I learned early that if I get the Detonate ability I can shoot at exploding stuff (barrels, fire pits) and kill many orcs at once when they are huddled together around fire in their camping/picnic state of mind. LOL Just wait for most of them to come near the fire.
Also, run around and pick up all the relics and Ithildin you can find. All of them. It'll get you a great boost early on.

Big publishers and developers like say... Ubisoft cares little about their pc releases for a reason, and that's probably it. And what i mean by that is they don't optimize their games hardly as much as they could on PC, half is getting illegally downloaded anyway. Fucking pc shits

huh. i ahve been rushing into the hordes from day one and had no problem so far. maybe because i am used to this kind of combat. it really is just about reaction time and letting them NOT surround you.
When I was watching gameplay there were only heads cutting off in slow motion. Now I have the game and I can just rush them. I have to unlock the runes to get those combos??

You can never make pll happy. Omg is so hard I uninstalled it or Omg it's too easy I wish they would make it more challenging. It's always Sth. I really like the game and the fact that u can't just run In there and button mash to complete a mission is great.

I had to restart because I ended up with a warchief who had no weaknesses, and had so many bodyguards, that by the time I had killed one of them, he had recruited another.
even the basic orcs shit on you and if they gain notoriety, they become much more brazen and difficult. A true masterpiece game. Thanks for the tips!
