I think what he did with the Broncos really culminates Peyton and how elite and ahead he was. His arm strength was diminished, his hand was numb, and he had to relearn how to throw with more of his legs. He had way more spin on the ball when he was younger, and his throws got a lot more wobbly. Yet with all that, his preparation, and his understanding of defenses and situations, he was able to still move the chains and win games.

Manning to Harrison. Every team in the league knew it was coming and NO ONE could stop it. One of the joys of living in the Colts market was that I got to see every game he ever played, and for all of the great things he did on the national stage, we saw them every week. It was like watching MJ play every game, the nation got to gawk at him one every couple of Sunday's or so while I watched 82 games per season. You realize that what everyone else saw as spectacular was run of the mill because we saw it every week.

  • @rynobell

This man actually changed the way the game was played. He changed the way QBs and staff prepared for games, perfected play action, and perfected screens, TE routes, rubs, and slant patterns. If only he had a better defense and more run support, this man would've needed a second mansion for his accolades. Think back on this, Colts fans.. From Peyton, to the highly skilled Luck and his sheer drive to win despite crappy team as well, his impressive total of comeback wins and his 300 yard with 3 or more tds totals.. To a very middling Brissett who is a 4 star backup at best. Yikes.

He was a true mastermind and technician and his play actually stood out on the TV. You could actually tell how head and shoulders he was above the competition. It was a beautiful thing to watch him throw and pick apart defenses. I wish they gave him better defenses, because I truly believe he would have more rings.

After halftime of SBLI, Brady was 27 of 36 for 282 yards and two touchdowns on his way to setting Super Bowl records for passing yards, completions, and attempts. That’s more yards than Manning threw for in three of his four Super Bowls.
In 4 Super Bowls Peyton Manning NEVER led a SINGLE scoring drive in the 4th quarter (unless you count his Pick-6 to Tracy Porter). Not even a measly FG. Tom Brady has led the Patriots to 84 after the 3rd quarter of the Super Bowl, including 14 in the final 8 minutes against Seattle and 3 TDs in his final 3 drives of SBLI. Against the same Saints who gave up more points that season than ANY of the teams with a winning record Manning failed to put up a single point during the last 24 minutes 35 seconds of that game.
Manning in Super Bowls: 3 TDs, 5 INTs, 77 rating
Tom Brady: 18 TDs, 5 INTs, 98 rating.

Goggle top QB's of all time and find me just one web site (posted by professionals "NFL coaches, players analysts, experts ect ) that claims Manning is better than Brady ..Go ahead send me the link..But save the time because the first 20 i looked at don't even have Manning in the top 5..Psst:Brady is number #1 in all of them
So send me the link if you find one in the next 5 years

There's too much to compare for a definitive GOAT, and that includes the rest of the damn team they played on every season. I'm not saying either player is better than the other. I personally believe that both of them are at the top. Tom Terrific will never have rings from two different teams though haha. He'll never separate himself from Belichick! :)

    • @trevmac8362
      @trevmac8362 6 лет назад +5

The big urban legend and myth is that it was Belichick that made Brady but history gets tainted & murky along the way..The *Fact* is Belichick was a 5-13 coach with The Pats before Bledsoe (0 and 2) got injured and Brady led The Pats to a Super Bowl against the 16 point favorite "Greatest Show On Turf". Brady is a lifetime Pat and Manning was only on another team because INDY didn't want the guy no more..Brady also won't lose on another team in the Super Bowl 43-8 against Seattle (2013) he instead beats the legion of boom the next year in the Super Bowl and is Super Bowl MVP.. But do yourself a favor and do a google search on *Greatest QB's of all-time* and after 100 years of still looking to find one Web Site that doesn't pick Brady as the greatest send me the link.As a matter of fact send me the link if you even find Manning in the top 5..nice try at manipulating the obvious though..As for Manning winning the Super bowl in Denver my grand father could have played on that Super Bowl winning team and won as QB ha ha ha ha

Colts fan4 Life Rodgers is a piss-poor leader, Manning is a decent leader, Tom Brady is the greatest leader. Also in those three AFC championships, the last two were because A.Brady played with an injured and pretty barebones offense, B. Manning played with one of the best defenses in NFL history and Brady’s kicker did miss an extra point, which if he had made it, they could’ve kicked another one instead of going for two. I know that those sound like excuses so I’m giving Manning the benefit of the doubt for the wins but the context is key.

Peyton. So you are telling me Brady had one stellar WR who came to the organisation as a true star and that the Patriots scouted well and picked up some good talent in drafts and trades who they trained up with Brady to become pretty darn good? okay I shall take your point.
Are you now going to tell me that Peyton had no good receivers or play makers on his offence?
Are you going to tell me how his middling rank defences who were only that low because of the run defence stats (which be honest most teams tended to not utilise a predominant run strategy due to being outscored by a stacked offense) made sure that he could never win the big games?
      Meh,
I have a lot of love and respect for Manning as a player and a QB and I think he is one of the all time greats but to say that he is the best ever? really?
To tell me he is better than Brady based on hypotheticals and what if scenarios? Might as well be talking to a Rodgers bumboy

Brady has as many MVP's in the Super Bowl as Montana has rings and his resume keeps getting bigger..7 Super bowls and 5 wins plus every playoff record for a QB (in the age of parity and the salary cap)..And while Montana sits in an old folks home Brady is going to be the league MVP in 2017..26 point comeback in Super Bowl 51 with three white receivers all under the height of 6 feet..Your give Brady Jerry Rice and Brady would have 10 Super Bowls by now..plus it wasn't 16 TD's Montana has thrown in the S-Bowl..try 11 and it's also 3 MVP's not 4 (you were probably getting confused with Brady's numbers)
