What I love about this song is that it doesn't specify who he's talking about, which means more people can relate to this song, this song isn't just another post-brake up song, it's a song for anyone who has lost someone, whether it be a spouse or partner, a sibling, a parent or other relative, a child, or even a close friend, just another reason why I love Skillet.

I taught myself how to have lucid dreams. I haven't had a nightmare in four years. I don't use it to have girlfriends or such stuff in dream (well, not always), rather I use it to see my dad, who died in December of 2004 on the 31st.
A great thing is that you can keep from ever having nightmares, bad or uncomfortable dreams, have complete control over everything (you can even let it randomly generate instead if you want), and you remember every single thing that happened. In lucid dreams, it feels so real, you truly feel like you are having a second life.
I love how he clings desperately to his dream, that being the only way he can at least feel like they're still together.... I love this kind of things....

@@orphancloud1132 Well, I really like all of their albums up until Human, it is hard to recommend just one. (Human is the first one with a different singer and i start disliking them bit by bit from this one on)
They've got a few mellower ones like Last to Know (i like the last chorus :) ) and a lot of the aggressive type, Let You Down and Happiness. Give these a listen with some good headphones, and if you don't seem to like them, well it was worth a shot :)
(PS, in case you do start to listen to them: with the change in singer, the mellower sound is kind of lost, I think. They are only left with a grunge, aggressive sound, which is sometimes cool but it gets old for me)
Do you know what it is like to actually feel like that? It isn't happy or nice; it hurts... A lot. I wish I didn't fucking feel like what this guy is singing about day in and day out.

My best friend passed away about four months ago and all of a sudden I'm hearing this song over and over which I definitely can relate to, but something deep inside told me I had to send it to his girlfriend, soulmate and life long partner....and it finally dawned on me that not only was it meant for me to hear, but to hopefully ease her pain and sadness. I can relate to all of you guys... Skillet is the most amazing band in this known world. They connect to us and makes us think deep into our lives and heart and mind and sometimes it hurts... But it hurts in a good way... And all i have to say to you guys is, "good things leave in order for better things to take their place." And even tho it feels good to sleep and have the love of your life there with you, sooner or later something better will take its place and make you happy for a long long time

Reminds me of the couple of months I overslept every single day as a coping mechanism. Of course, they flew by, which I suppose was a good thing. I still get reminded of that feeling of pure demotivation and honest belief that sleeping away my life was the better way to go about it.

She was everything that mattered to me! She stole my heart the night we met, and filled in the empty parts. We made a life together, wasn't the greatest, but it was ours. The night she died, I hit my absolute rock bottom. I drank all the alcohol in my house, depression hit like a run away train, and I started down a path few have come back from. The only reason I'm still here is because my pistol was missing one vital piece to work....the firing pin. It was loaded, barrel in my mouth, finger on trigger, I squeezed 18 times..one per round, I had drunkenly forgot there was no firing pin. I was physically ill for couple weeks after that....I fought the memories, then one night, the night I posted the video....I let the memories over take me, it still hurts like a mutha, but it's bearable more and more everyday. Trust me, you'll meet the right gal for you when the time is right. I met mine, and we had our time, God needed her more than i did. Have faith man
