Perhaps the most touching song in the album and yet so understanding in real life situations. I love the fact Skillet has at least one of these songs in their albums like American Noise and Lucy.

What I love about Skillet is why they are so popular in music today. They are a Christian band, so they appeal to the religious majority of America, but their songs can also be conveyed as romantic/love songs. I thought that was what they were until I was told they were actually a Christian band.
And that they make songs that appeals to anyone they even said they make songs that can appeal to any religion or person
honestly yours to hold is a love song. Just compare it to "whispers in the dark". And you really see, that yours to hold is the "human" view point, hence the insecurity and gentleness of the song compared to Whispers in the dark, which I personally interpret (I could be wrong, but that's the beauty of real music, there is room for Interpretation) to be God's POV. hence the very loud, very other the top lyrics. But to me these two are the same song just from a different point of view.

I love when music is ambiguous like this, and you can interpret it however you want. If you're religious, it can be about God. If you're not, it can be about another person. I wish people would stop debating on other videos about religion, and just appreciate the beautiful music.

I always think about the guy who got away lol He has some personal challenges but I struggled everyday trying to express this to him.. This song has been my favorite since I first started listening to Skillet in 7th grade. Fast forward to 12th, I still get intense feelings of love, heartbreak and everything in between all in 4 minutes. Nostalgia of better times, nostalgia of the bad times, too.
