This song has made me cry so hard every time I've listened to it since May 31st 2012 when my would have been best friend passed away. I never really wanted to be her friend until just a few days before she had a seizure and died in her sleep. From that experience I've learned to spend as much time as I can with the friends I have, because you never know that could be the last time you see them. I am blessed to know my friend is in a better place! RIP Katelynn! 10/20/1997 to 5/31/2012

I went threw almost all Skillet's songs, and i have to say i'm not dispointed by any of there product. I'm still surprised how a very skilled band in every way (lyrics, vocals...) didn't made it to the very top. Between all the bands that i ever listened to. This band is the most impressive one.

They did not make it like all of the other bands because they did not sell there souls to become that famous they are for good that is why.

Just discovered Skillet a couple of days ago and can't stop listening to them and l am not a kid, 58 years old. This is a great song that deserves more recognition.
This song reminds me that I should do good today, care, love for others because what we can do today can either impact a person postiively or negatively tommorow.

This is exactly how I felt as soon as I accepted Christ. Skillet, you hit the bullseye with this song. I remember listening to this in highschool and not understanding the meaning. There are *so* many things I wish I would've done. Wish I would've known. I thank God that He is changing that now. This song is a banger skillet.

I see this song as being about the loss of a friend or a family member. Not necessarily death, but maybe a friend/family member going away for an extended period of time. So this song would be about spending time with them before they leave.

It's amazing how fast time flies! As I said in my previous comment, I made the mistake of not allowing the chance to get to know this one person, then just a few weeks before her death, I wanted the chance to get to know her. Then as soon as we start spending a little more time together, she dies.
Lesson learned: If there's someone you've met that you want to get to know, set aside time to get to know them! If you know them from school, invite them over after school. If you know them from church, invite them over on Sunday afternoon! If you met them while in town shopping, make plans to meet up and have lunch somewhere. Don't just meet them, then forget about them!

My all time favorite song of Skillet so far. Listening to it always inspires me to live life to the fullest and be the best man I can be. It’s also the song that has me pushing myself almost to the limit. I do a fair bit of running, and One Day Too Late is on my workout playlist. As soon as John says “Stop saving your best for last!” It’s as though I’ve gone Super Saiyan and start running as fast as my legs will go until the end of the song.

The craziest thing happened to me yesterday while listening to this song. I was thinking about someone I truly missed that I loved in high school and still have feelings for. During the verse of this song, a hearse drove past me. I’m live thousands of miles away from her, but I want to be with her. When that hearse drove by me, I got chills down my spine. It made me realize that if I don’t take a risk and see her again, I could indeed be one day too late. As of now, I’m literally packing up my stuff and going for broke. I’m gonna see her again and see if she really is the one for me. Thank you skillet and whatever higher power that sent that message for motivating me. Life is too short not to take chances. I have a feeling that this is gonna be worth the risk. ❤️

Anyone can put this advice to good use. It doesn't mean you have to all of the sudden up and change completely or do your best. Just get up and "try a little harder." Just a little every day goes a long way in the end :). I started doing just that. Focusing on one thing I can be better at and then the next.
