I lost my wife last week. She was 39 and her birthday is next week. We were supposed to go on a family cruise to celebrate her 40th. I have been listening to this a lot. I feel I will always be broken, but this helps.

Whenever i listen to this song, it always reminds me of how well off i am. I live in a rural area of the UK away from serious crime. I have a loving family and amazing friends. My life is so close to perfect, and whenever I listen to this, I'm reminded of how well God has treated me. Recently, i felt like my life was empty, so i prayed. God answered. I know not everyone believes, but i believe that everyone should know he still cares for you even if you don't know him yet.❤

I made my first solo trip to south america about a week ago and this song helped me to remember that God cares about therefore He is with me, when i was a teenager i suffered from panic attacks and anxiety, the thought of diying was constantly in my head, so i wanted to be in my house, with my parents all the time, cuz i felt safe however i was getting worse but God helped me and deliver me from that fear, and with this trip I saw the hand of God with me the whole time even when those thoughts wanted to come back He was there reassuring me that everything was gonna be fine and so it did! God is Good all the time!
This is a song that's hard for me to hear, but helps remind me of just how far I've come. Today I have 4yrs 6mo clean time from a nasty pain pill addiction. I used to lay in my shower, sick, crying out to God. "Save me or take me, please, I'm so sorry" and He did come for me. This song was one I would play on repeat for hours, sometimes days. It wasn't immediate, because He knew I wasn't ready. But once I hit my knees, admitted my defeat and started to help myself, there He was. He had been there the whole time... I am so thankful to have been saved. I love my God and I love this beautiful song. 💜

I've been struggling with my mental health recently, and I just can't seem to control myself, my anxiety has forced me to hide from the real world and forget about everything. But whenever I hear this song, something inside me hits me. I know some people aren't big believers but this song impacts me to continue to look up in front of me and continue to have faith to move on. I was in a similar boat two years ago. I was raised in the church, went every Sunday and youth group on Wednesday. I couldnt find myself believing in a God, especially not in the modern world, not with how life is, not with the church either. God chases us as individuals and Hope's to nurture the relationship as such. I pray he continues to pull at your heart. I pray that you see a beauty in life worth protecting, I pray you realize that's God working in you. Religion isnt perfect, the church isnt perfect, people aren't perfect, but God is. Jackie Faith, you're not alone I lost both of my grandfathers one passed away due to cardiovascular shock back in 2011 right after my graduation parties and another grandfather passed away due to lung cancer back in 2019, I mean every time that I listen to this song it helps me think about both of them and both of them always love me no matter what.

Therefore we PREACH Christ crucified because of the debt that was paid IN THE SHEDDING OF BLOOD of a perfect, righteous and sinless person who didn't deserve death, instead we do... But OH WHAT AMAZING GRACE that was SHOWN on the cross! It's not that we are disrespecting and trying to shove "religion" down your throat. We PREACH (or "Annoy" as some people refer to it) to you THIS message because WE KNOW that it WILL set the captive free from the curse of sin which is death. Christ's resurrection PROVED that there IS something AFTER death awaiting us. that there IS an afterlife. There IS A RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD. But a resurrection towards what? Eternal life? or Eternal death? It's up to you to decide which one you want. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

This was one of the only songs my grandma liked from this band and she really loved it. My grandma had a major stroke in my arms in March of 2019 and died pretty horrifically 4 days after that and I continued playing this song through those last couple days and after she died this song was a God-send with processing the grief through that horrible experience. I still listen to this song when life just feels hard. God is good and I strongly feel music is something that can help us with our walk with the Lord.

There's nothing wrong with listening to music that agrees with your beliefs, especially since a lot of rock and metal doesn't necessarily concur with Scripture. Please allow people to enjoy music that agrees with scriptural principles because it's hard to find, and if that's all people want to listen to, please respect that that's the music they enjoy!
I just recently lost my dad. One of my biggest memories with him was going to your guys concert. It was my first and last with my dad. After that night this was our song. No matter where we were going we always listened to this. This was our song and everytime I listen to it, it brings back all of those memories and I wnated to thank you guys for this. Ezzedine Itani I’m so sorry for both of your losses. I lost my dad may 10th it has been hitting really hard lately. We were told by the doctors he was doing good and he would be going home in a couple of day. He was talking to my brother and told him he loved him. 45 minutes later we got a call saying he may not make it and me my brother and sister sat around him and held is hand while he passes away.

Last week, I unexpectedly lost a close friend. Her and I would chat every morning about our day and every day after I got back from work. I was listening to this song yesterday, and I TRULY felt like I heard God say "I'm here, come cry on my shoulder, I wont leave." I sat there in tears, finally feeling like I was healed from my grief. If you EVER feel like God has left you behind, or that your pit of grief is too deep, it NEVER is to God. He is still there, and he ALWAYS will be.
I love the message in this song. God is never, EVER far from you, even when it feels like He is, which is what I'm going through, i feel SO distant from God yet, I know He's right there.

I read the book "The Shack" seven years after my brother was murdered. It brought me out of the valley that I was stuck in. Then the movie came out and this song says it all. It speaks volumes to to the healing.
I've never seen the shack and I just watched it. In tears almost the whole movie. Hit home when he saw his dad. My dad passed away almost 15 years ago and I'm still dealing with it. I will forever treasure this movie.

Whenever i listen to this song, it always reminds me of how well off i am. I live in a rural area of the UK away from serious crime. I have a loving family and amazing friends. My life is so close to perfect, and whenever I listen to this, I'm reminded of how well God has treated me. Recently, i felt like my life was empty, so i prayed. God answered.

I made my first solo trip to south america about a week ago and this song helped me to remember that God cares about therefore He is with me, when i was a teenager i suffered from panic attacks and anxiety, the thought of diying was constantly in my head, so i wanted to be in my house, with my parents all the time, cuz i felt safe however i was getting worse but God helped me and deliver me from that fear, and with this trip I saw the hand of God with me the whole time even when those thoughts wanted to come back He was there reassuring me that everything was gonna be fine and so it did! God is Good all the time!
This is a song that's hard for me to hear, but helps remind me of just how far I've come.
Today I have 4yrs 6mo clean time from a nasty pain pill addiction.
I used to lay in my shower, sick, crying out to God. "Save me or take me, please, I'm so sorry" and He did come for me. This song was one I would play on repeat for hours, sometimes days.
It wasn't immediate, because He knew I wasn't ready. But once I hit my knees, admitted my defeat and started to help myself, there He was. He had been there the whole time...
I am so thankful to have been saved. I love my God and I love this beautiful song. 💜

I've been struggling with my mental health recently, and I just can't seem to control myself, my anxiety has forced me to hide from the real world and forget about everything. But whenever I hear this song, something inside me hits me. I know some people aren't big believers but this song impacts me to continue to look up in front of me and continue to have faith to move on. This fight will not be easy but I believe that God and in the name of Jesus, I will find that light at the end of the tunnel. This band no matter what will be my favorite, been a Skillet fan for countless years and this band has helped me get through my social anxiety with these powerful songs.
I encourage everyone whatever battle you are facing, do not give up and lose hope, the world may be sick and so many people are cruel but that does not mean you should continue to be a shadow to everyone that admires you. Everyone that knows you are rooting for you and it would not be the same for them if it wasn't without you. No matter how significant your battle is, I believe you will overcome it and reach the light and get out of your shadows.

I was in a similar boat two years ago. I was raised in the church, went every Sunday and youth group on Wednesday. I couldnt find myself believing in a God, especially not in the modern world, not with how life is, not with the church either. God chases us as individuals and Hope's to nurture the relationship as such. I pray he continues to pull at your heart. I pray that you see a beauty in life worth protecting, I pray you realize that's God working in you. Religion isnt perfect, the church isnt perfect, people aren't perfect, but God is.

We preach Christ crucified because WE KNOW that it is the message and the POWER to TRANSFORM one's mind and heart back towards the Living God. I find that this song brings me to my faith. I’m a recovering addict. Almost 6 years sober. God saved my life! Granted I worked hard for my sobriety but I kept faith that god would get me through the hell I was living and he did! This song touches my heart

This was one of the only songs my grandma liked from this band and she really loved it. My grandma had a major stroke in my arms in March of 2019 and died pretty horrifically 4 days after that and I continued playing this song through those last couple days and after she died this song was a God-send with processing the grief through that horrible experience. I still listen to this song when life just feels hard. God is good and I strongly feel music is something that can help us with our walk with the Lord.

Alex Re Actually, Skillet calls themselves a Christian band. I've been to a concert of theirs where they professed that, as well as seen many interviews. There's nothing wrong with listening to music that agrees with your beliefs, especially since a lot of rock and metal doesn't necessarily concur with Scripture. Please allow people to enjoy music that agrees with scriptural principles because it's hard to find, and if that's all people want to listen to, please respect that that's the music they enjoy!

I just recently lost my dad. One of my biggest memories with him was going to your guys concert. It was my first and last with my dad. After that night this was our song. No matter where we were going we always listened to this. This was our song and everytime I listen to it, it brings back all of those memories and I wnated to thank you guys for this. He loved you guys and always listend to your music. Everytime a new album came out bought. There was a night when I was younger he was feeling down and he picked me up and slow danced with me to the song Lucy. I just wanted to say thank you again you guys are amazing🥺♥️

Ezzedine Itani I’m so sorry for both of your losses. I lost my dad may 10th it has been hitting really hard lately. We were told by the doctors he was doing good and he would be going home in a couple of day. He was talking to my brother and told him he loved him. 45 minutes later we got a call saying he may not make it and me my brother and sister sat around him and held is hand while he passes away.

I had to watch my kids in the car (covid was just starting to come to US) and didnt see him flatline, but went to say farewell to him after and feel his warm hand for the last time. Last week, I unexpectedly lost a close friend. Her and I would chat every morning about our day and every day after I got back from work. I was listening to this song yesterday, and I TRULY felt like I heard God say "I'm here, come cry on my shoulder, I wont leave." I sat there in tears, finally feeling like I was healed from my grief. If you EVER feel like God has left you behind, or that your pit of grief is too deep, it NEVER is to God. He is still there, and he ALWAYS will be.
This was my wedding song almost 7 years ago now and it is still my favorite song. Such a powerful and amazing song
I love the message in this song. God is never, EVER far from you, even when it feels like He is, which is what I'm going through, i feel SO distant from God yet, I know He's right there.

I read the book "The Shack" seven years after my brother was murdered. It brought me out of the valley that I was stuck in. Then the movie came out and this song says it all. It speaks volumes to to the healing.

I've never seen the shack and I just watched it. In tears almost the whole movie. Hit home when he saw his dad. My dad passed away almost 15 years ago and I'm still dealing with it. I will forever treasure this movie.
