Chester passed away 4 years ago, and people still remember him. And they will remember him for years to come, because legends are not forgotten. We love you and your music.
My son loved LP, as did I when I was a teenager. He adopted a ton of bands I grew up on and we loved sharing music. He couldn’t fight his own battles with depression and a toxic relationship: he took his life Jan 2024, at 17. So I come to these songs monthly to remember him. He was my light and now it’s gone
You saved my life today Chester, I know you’ll never see this but I’m struggling and your music always pulls through for me and not giving up on myself
Ask our lord and Savour Jesus Christ to find the strength bestowed and he will not forsake you. Keep the chin up my friend and remember no positives will come from a negative.
I'm 53 years old, and the only celebrity's death that hit me hard, was Chester's. I had been a fan since they started and ways enjoyed their music. He will be sorely missed.
I come from a family of gang bangers from compton and wasn't allowed to listen to anything white, yet I listen to linking park from a young age and managed to get my brothers approval and even they listened to linkin park after I got them into them sucks chester committed suicide and I never got to see him perform live
Chester, you and LP saved my life 14 years ago. I had lost my pregnant girlfriend due to a jealous ex of hers and I gave up so much. I suffered daily at the thought of living. But all I needed to do was listen to Linkin Park and I found a reason to suffer another day. I attempted suicide so much because it hurt so damn bad to wake up. I suffered for 6 years. Before I finally started working past the loss. Before I started working on actually living again. Today? I am happily married to a wonderful woman. With a 5 (Almost 6) year old son. And an almost 8 month old daughter. I use the experience from 14 years ago to help others. To relate to people and feel their pain, to relate... I saw you guys live in 2012 and it was the absolute GREATEST concert I have ever seen... We miss you... You changed lives, you battled the very demon that claimed you for others... Chester, you and Linkin Park are and forever will be heroes to many of us. To millions of us who have felt the same way that you did. That felt the same way I did. Thank you... For everything Linkin Park... Thank you for everything, Chester Bennington.
Dear Stranger. We may be different religions, different countries, different likings. But we can both agree that this song is timeless and beautiful. Edit: Thank's for the 1k likes. I appreciate that this song is still being listened to.
If you're listening and struggling, remember, your light matters. You're bright and beautiful and special and your existence is enough. I would care if you're light goes out. RIP Chester.
What do u mean my light doesn’t matter I am a horrible person I hate myself why should I matter I’m dumb I’m ugly and I am not special and my existence isn’t enough . Nobody would care if light went out ps I’m not trying to be mean if u think that I’m just a horrible person and R.I.P Chester.
He saved my life on more than one occasion. It is astounding how far he went with that awesome voice. Also Alice.. I think his spirit Can see us. He is with God now, still shining down upon us. RIP my brother
Worst part about listening to this song now is the fact that the one who saved so many people from suicide, committed suicide himself. Thank you for the songs, Chester.
Im sorry dont listen to what you have been told!!! Do your own RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!!! HE DID NOT KILL HIS SELF!!!!!! NEITHER DID CHRIS CORNELL!!! LOOK IN TO THEIR OTHER HOBBIES?? MAYBE SAVING CHILDREN??? I DONT KNOW ???
Today was a day that was coming. My dad made it into heaven today. 1:07pm my dad passed away. My dad and I would sing Linkin Park songs from In The End to Numb to me in the car in my teen years. I would sing Mike/Chester's parts and my dad and I would sing Chester's part. His last words were "Glory to God" and "I love you, buddy." Those memories will last for a lifetime. I love you Dad, Isaiah.
That one light was you, buddy. You had millions of fans around the world. All of them loved you, and they still do.It's heartbreaking to think of that, we are not going to hear your voice again😢

I lost my little sister due to suicide in 2020. She loved Linkin Park and was always talking about it. I always thought it was kind of annyoing, now I know, she just wanted me to listen to it with her. She knew I would've loved it. Now, I am here, and she is not. I come here every week just to feel near her and to feel like I'm giving her her wish. Love you, Bean
I'm sorry for your loss. I think your little Sister is with you, and you make she happy, when you listen to Linkin Park. All the best for you. RIP to your sis 🙏
Mat. I never worked for Linkin Park. But over the years, Chester and I crossed paths over a dozen times at airline first class lounges. After the first couple of times, after a hug, he always asked who I was on the road with, then we just seemed to continue where we had left off in our previous conversation. Incredibly down to earth guy. After he left us, I would unconsciously find myself looking for him at whatever airport I was in. And would be sad when it hit me that he wouldn't be there.
this makes me cry everytime. anytime im WITH people and i hear this about to play i quickly change it. i just cant do it infront of people :P they would be really needlessly concerned :P
"Who cares if one more light goes out" Enough to make a LP fan cry. Hey Chester, we still care about you even after 7 years. You healed us all, but we couldn't save you. Pls forgive us. We will never forget about you and will care about you forever. RIP brother❤️

I'm coming back here after three years... and I'm shedding tears... thinking about what a gem he was how my dream of meeting him couldn't come true due to his other plans I haven't cried like this in years.. We miss you Chester, we will always cherish your legacy.. Wish you're here today to see, how MUCH people love you and miss you. Forever, Chester and Forever, Linkin Park
After almost 5 years it still hurts, please tell me I‘m not the only one who can‘t listen to One More Light w-out shedding tears? Linkin Park and especially Chester were my rock, the only ones understanding me and being there w-out even knowing I exist. He‘s right, these wounds will never heal. He‘s the damn voice of a nation and will never be forgotten like he asked us in Leave out all the Rest♡ R.I.P Chester

LP was there in my late teens and during my struggles in my twenties, so many hours listening, feeling the lyrics, feeling the pain but also and outlet for anger and emotions… Now… in 2024, I’m 42, my daughter is 13… and now she is the one struggling, anxiety, adhd disorder amongst other stuff… now, once more, I’m listening to LP and Chesters pain, praying for my life, that my daughter not will be “another light” some day…😢
Sending all my hope and love to you and your daughter. I'm a 54yr old mother who had found LP to be a wonderful outlet for my pain and grief after our daughters light went out in July 2022 the same way as Chester- sending love ❤️ always xx
You're doing your best. She'll claim that nobody understands her, even when you know you do, but just listening is a great tool to keeping her light on.
One of my brother's favorite bands was Linkin Park. We lost him to cancer a few months back but I still can't listen to this song without crying. Since he was terminally ill he had time to plan out his funeral, and he requested this as one of the songs to be played. To me this song has so much emotional impact that serves as a reminder of the legacy of not only my brother but Chester as well. R.I.P. 🕊
Hey buddy... I am so sorry for your loss, I can't pretend to know what that's like. Just know that in the LP family, if you feel like falling down, there will be a thousand hands ready to pick you up again. Much, MUCH love to you, your family, and your brother, may he rest in peace
I was never a huge Linkin Park fan, but recently I started listening to them because of my best friend who suggested them. I’ve personally been through a lot and suicidal thoughts for a long time. Chester I can’t thank you enough for making me realise how I’m not alone and how valued we both are. I can’t believe it’s November 2024 at the time of writing this and it’ll be 8 years since we lost you next year. Thank you for everything and all the joy to fans you’ve helped throughout the years. 💔
Everytime i listen to this gem of a song i can't help but to get teary eyed. Being a fan of Linkin Park since i was in middle school, and now being 25, Chesters' passing really did hurt. He sang about his pain, his sadness in many of his songs but listening to them now it has a whole new meaning to them, despite understanding and knowing of his struggles (Depression) and having to deal with it myself, and it's still a battle i struggle with. Songs like Iridescent really did save me in my teenage years. Chester you were not weak, you were hurting, the battle got to overwhelming and you made the choice to lessen the pain, but thank you for not only helping me, but literally millions of others in the world who too suffer from Mental Health issues. You're a legend, you always will be. Your songs, their meanings - the depth, the message, it will never be forgotten, nor will you. Your impact on many people's lives will remain solidified within our hearts. Thank You once again Chester, Linkin Park. I hope you found your light, your glimmer, you deserve it all.
I'm 26. I remember the very first Linkin Park song when I was in elementary school was In The End on MTV at my babysitters house. Haven't stopped listening to this day. They were the rock of my adolescence days. More than any other musicians. Saw them in concert my freshman year of highschool. I'm so upset. Chester Bennington was the Kurt Cobain of our generation IMO.
If only he could see how much we truly loved him. All his lyrics meant something and now that we can see what they meant we wished we could have done more. But theres one thing we can do. Watch their music. Drop a like. Pay our respects.
@@jackvincent3026 i’m definitely still very sad, it would’ve been great to hear another album by them. Overall Chester was a great person, he never let his demons get the best of him. to quote Mike, he said that we remind ourselves that the demons that took you away were a part of the package that made you good. The way you sang and shared them with the world was so special.
@@204august2 mate you say some beautiful things this song was so beautiful and I was so caught up in my own emotions I was going through a tough time and when I heard the news I thought now I really do understand what he meant
It's really touching to see us as fans coming together via this platform to say kind words about this man and this group that changed our lives and touched our hearts
Sadly it's true... that most of the concerts are filled with bunch of drunken* random people. some times you should clean your head and go up to stage at middle of song. and see it all yourself... only few perfect and heartwarming moments are caught in one tour. and many not so fine.
My husband & i both had Linkin Park CD's. When we were dating. I got caught swapping his CD for mine. It was in better condition. ;) But then we have bin married 12 year's now.
I still remember when my dad bought me my first CD. It was the "Minutes to Midnight" album, I listened to it day and night on my discman. Linkin Park are the reason I started making music and moved to Atlanta last year to chase my dream. Rest in Paradise Chester, you are chaining lives even from the other side.

Anyone else still crying in 2021? I lost my best friend to suicide in 2015. Linkin Park saved me from myself countless times. I was heartbroken when I learned of his passing, as if I'd lost another friend.

Found out yesterday that I lost a friend to suicide and been having some trouble processing the news but a glass a whiskey and a few listens to this song is really starting to help. Thanks Chester, it's really shitty how the best of us are the ones who suffer the most. RIP
It’s been two years for me. I wish I could tell you it’s gotten easier, but it hasn’t. But don’t let the memory of them get you down, remember the good times you had with them. And I know it sounds dumb, but I keep a picture of him pinned to the sun visor in my truck cuz he was always my right hand man. Even if it seems dumb, doing something like that when you’re ready can aid in the healing process. Keep on fighting the good fight, you got this.
4 years later and it's still as sad as if it was only yesterday. Chester there are more than a million hearts that miss you. My son loved LP, as did I when I was a teenager. He adopted a ton of bands I grew up on and we loved sharing music.

Mat. I never worked for Linkin Park. But over the years, Chester and I crossed paths over a dozen times at airline first class lounges. man we never know when someone in a deep trouble because they keep smiling
This is my favorite Linkin Park song. Still after listening to it hundreds of times I still cry. Anyone who has lost someone close feels this song. RIP Chester. We miss you.
Found out yesterday that I lost a friend to suicide and been having some trouble processing the news but a glass a whiskey and a few listens to this song is really starting to help. Thanks Chester, it's really shitty how the best of us are the ones who suffer the most. RIP
rest is peace
❤️
Rest in peace, but I hope it stays at one glass of whiskey?
Legit
It’s been two years for me. I wish I could tell you it’s gotten easier, but it hasn’t. But don’t let the memory of them get you down, remember the good times you had with them. And I know it sounds dumb, but I keep a picture of him pinned to the sun visor in my truck cuz he was always my right hand man. Even if it seems dumb, doing something like that when you’re ready can aid in the healing process. Keep on fighting the good fight, you got this.
4 years later and it's still as sad as if it was only yesterday. Chester there are more than a million hearts that miss you. But the comfort in his voice and music that will forever live on and have hopefully touched and helped another light to not go out. I think that's what Chester would have wanted for all his fans ❤❤❤
can't believe its been 4 years...
It’s crazy how fast this has gone but he was amazing and still is I’m glad to have lived in the same time as Chester RIP
@@jamescollins7808 yes, I saw them live years ago in Dublin and although I wish I had seen them again, I will always be eternally grateful that I saw them then. But for those unlucky fans that never got to see them, the music will always live on ❤
A wise person once said “I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what it’s like to feel absolutely worthless and they don’t want anyone else to feel like that.” Looking at everything Chester managed to share with us, I feel that's so true. This song feels like it was intended for everyone and it is something all of us with carry with us forever.
