I'm not religious, but this song shows exactly why I love Christian music. Some of it can really express the love people have for their God, and how much love they feel from Him in return. Even if you're not Christian, you can't deny the pure soul in this music.

To me Skillet is one of my very favourite bands because they are still fighting. They are still fighting against harm and evil, they still write music to lift one up. And they are still fighting for the refreshing and fulfilling love of God. They have strengthened me, my life and my faith for years now and they won't stop doing this. I've been listening to Skillet since I was in middle school. I didn't know they were a Christian Rock Band until High school in my last year and it made my love for them grow more. This song in particular has a special place in my heart because it was one of the few songs from them my father loved dearly. He was a born-again christian and loved god with all of his heart. I lost him back in 2017 unexpectedly and I couldn't listen to this song for almost two years without wanting to break down into tears. Listening to this now, I'm still tearing up but I know in my heart that my dad is no longer in pain and he's up there with God doing what he loved the most. I miss you dad
I can relate a lot. I thought this band was just alternative rock and now realizing they're Christian rock. I also lost my father very suddenly in 2020. I know he would enjoy songs like these that I want to say, I've made it my quest in life to find more songs like these to share with my family to honor his memory.

It perfectly combines electronica with various types of slow rock, and has amazing lyrics that explains how God is truly there for you, and you have nothing to fear. I heard this song on the radio and I started crying my eyes out. I felt the presence of God as soon as it started playing. I turn on this song when I want to worship and I feel the presence in the same room with me as soon as I play it. It's so true to what I have been going through. It's like Skillet knew everything that happened to me in the past year, and put everything I have done to keep my faith in Jesus, and put it in a song. March 25th cannot come fast enough! I'm am so excited to see them in concert!

NEVER in my life have I been raising my hands in worship to the Most High God with tears in my eyes to jumping up and down and head banging to The Resistance. I absolutely love this band. So, I'm gonna tell a story really quick. When I was 4 years old, my dad took everything my family had and left, and I mean everything. Left my stay at home mom, 3 sisters and me. We have been struggling financially ever since. But my mom is an amazing Christan woman. She didn't give up. She worked 2 jobs, homeschooled all 4 of us, went to medical school and got us to church every time the doors were open. Every time we thought we would be homeless or faced a hard time, God got us through it. With our amazing church family and my moms Faith and willingness to truth God through the hard times. Now my mom is an NR working at a hospital and we're doing well 😊God has truly blessed us! This song has so much meaning! It reminds me the Faith that my mom has, and that I should have too. When times get hard, I shouldn't fear, because the maker of the world is holding me in his hands! Oh, and now after so many, many years, my dad is wanting to change his life around and follow Jesus. God is good!

Thankfully, my wife and I are Christians of the Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal belief. My wife recently was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Today I was driving home listening to the radio and the words to this song sunk in. It may be hiding behind those circumstances that we encounter; in a stranger we just met at an unexpected place; a family member who has been always there but you just ignored because of your imperfect relationship with them; it might be a long time friend you have or a friend you just met. I was having a panic attack while pregnant with my little Sarah, I was so sure I had lost her. On the way to the ER, God put this song on. It spoke to me. We got there, she had a heartbeat. THroughout a risky pregnancy, thsi song is what I would listen to whenever I started having panic attacks about losing her. She is healthy little 7 yr old now. I was blessed with more children. I lost my little Anthony last year. This song keeps comforting me. When I was crying in the hospital, after losing my Anthony, I was listening to this song again. A picture came to me, of Anthony, on a flying lion, under the stars, in heaven. I have no idea what all of that means. I just know God is holding me, and holding Anthony, and is holding all of us.

Ashley Dembeck you have to be baptized like Jesus full immersion. u know when a paster or someone who can baptize, there's usually a little pool or lake etc. once in the pool or etc. the paster will probably say in the name of Jesus Christ our lord and savior I baptize you. I've seen some videos where people actually can't move into water because of the demons in them its some crazy stuff. but better to be baptized and be clean by washing off all your sin

Quentin the first time I heard this song I felt Him too, though I didn’t realize it at the time... one of my roommates at college confirmed what I had felt at chapel that day was the Holy Spirit (he’d felt His presence at the exact same time, like a strong but gentle wind blowing through the windowless building we were in, a presence that made me forget all about fancy singing and just scream out the name of Jesus) and I realized I’d felt him before back when I heard this song on the radio.

It's Christmas time and I have a little light up star on my small table Christmas tree. The star dimmed out and died early in the evening and I know that means the battery is dead.. This song has special meaning to me as well. The first time I ever experienced God before I was saved. In despair, I prayed to a God that I didn't know. I went outside and saw a few shooting stars. That's when I felt Him for the first time. I gave my life to Jesus, got filled with the Holy Spirit, and it has been me and God ever since. It's amazing the things He does to reach us.

When i was younger i was at a martial arts school and we would do warm ups to skillet because our sifu was Christian. The Sifu, the music, and everything brought me closer to God. It was in my early to mid teenage years when things feel the worst so it helped me mentally prepare for the future

I've been listening to Skillet since I was in middle school. I didn't know they were a Christian Rock Band until High school in my last year and it made my love for them grow more. This song in particular has a special place in my heart because it was one of the few songs from them my father loved dearly. He was a born-again christian and loved god with all of his heart. I lost him back in 2017 unexpectedly and I couldn't listen to this song for almost two years without wanting to break down into tears. Listening to this now, I'm still tearing up but I know in my heart that my dad is no longer in pain and he's up there with God doing what he loved the most. I miss you dad

I can relate a lot. I thought this band was just alternative rock and now realizing they're Christian rock. I also lost my father very suddenly in 2020. I know he would enjoy songs like these that I want to say, I've made it my quest in life to find more songs like these to share with my family to honor his memory.

It perfectly combines electronica with various types of slow rock, and has amazing lyrics that explains how God is truly there for you, and you have nothing to fear. For a christian rock song, this is beautiful, sad, and heavy all at the same time. With out bands like Skillet, the world would be much darker. Forever live Skillet!

I heard this song on the radio and I started crying my eyes out. I felt the presence of God as soon as it started playing. I turn on this song when I want to worship and I feel the presence in the same room with me as soon as I play it. It's so true to what I have been going through. It's like Skillet knew everything that happened to me in the past year, and put everything I have done to keep my faith in Jesus, and put it in a song. March 25th cannot come fast enough! I agree, to me, the list should include a song from each older album, totaling 9 from those ( or they could play 2 from each album from Skillet (the album) up to Alien Youth possibly, but that idea would be a 20th Anniversary concert DVD, even better) and do the popular songs from Unleashed (Feel Invincible, Back From the Dead, I Want to Live, Burn It Down, Undefeated, etc.), the 3 notably Christian songs, and conclude with The Resistance.
They have Awake and Live DVD and I agree they need to have another DVD!

I remember Skillet playing this song during a concert. NEVER in my life have I been raising my hands in worship to the Most High God with tears in my eyes to jumping up and down and head banging to The Resistance. I absolutely love this band. So, I'm gonna tell a story really quick. When I was 4 years old, my dad took everything my family had and left, and I mean everything. Left my stay at home mom, 3 sisters and me. We have been struggling financially ever since. But my mom is an amazing Christan woman. She didn't give up. She worked 2 jobs, homeschooled all 4 of us, went to medical school and got us to church every time the doors were open. Every time we thought we would be homeless or faced a hard time, God got us through it. With our amazing church family and my moms Faith and willingness to truth God through the hard times. Now my mom is an NR working at a hospital and we're doing well 😊God has truly blessed us! This song has so much meaning! It reminds me the Faith that my mom has, and that I should have too. When times get hard, I shouldn't fear, because the maker of the world is holding me in his hands! Oh, and now after so many, many years, my dad is wanting to change his life around and follow Jesus. God is good!

Thankfully, my wife and I are Christians of the Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal belief. My wife recently was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Today I was driving home listening to the radio and the words to this song sunk in. Truly we can, and will, trust in the God the universe to hold it all together as we finish our journey and prepare for crossing the great divide.

We all go through hard times in life. It’s a part of being alive and it's the reality we all have to deal with. There are times we forget our value as a person because we are so blinded with thoughts of loneliness, emptiness and ego. Somewhere along the road we become numbed with all the frustrations and dissatisfaction. But life itself isn't always about darkness and sadness. Life is also filled with colors and that makes it beautiful. Along this path of darkness there's always light waiting to be seen by our daunted hearts. Our heart is gifted to see this light. It may be hiding behind those circumstances that we encounter; in a stranger we just met at an unexpected place; a family member who has been always there but you just ignored because of your imperfect relationship with them; it might be a long time friend you have or a friend you just met. Open your heart and you will see how blessed you are to have them all in your life. Sometimes they are the light that shines on your path in some dark phase of life. Don't lose hope.

I was having a panic attack while pregnant with my little Sarah, I was so sure I had lost her. On the way to the ER, God put this song on. It spoke to me. We got there, she had a heartbeat. THroughout a risky pregnancy, thsi song is what I would listen to whenever I started having panic attacks about losing her.
She is healthy little 7 yr old now. I was blessed with more children.

Ashley Dembeck you have to be baptized like Jesus full immersion. u know when a paster or someone who can baptize, there's usually a little pool or lake etc. once in the pool or etc. the paster will probably say in the name of Jesus Christ our lord and savior I baptize you. I've seen some videos where people actually can't move into water because of the demons in them its some crazy stuff. but better to be baptized and be clean by washing off all your sin

Quentin the first time I heard this song I felt Him too, though I didn’t realize it at the time... one of my roommates at college confirmed what I had felt at chapel that day was the Holy Spirit (he’d felt His presence at the exact same time, like a strong but gentle wind blowing through the windowless building we were in, a presence that made me forget all about fancy singing and just scream out the name of Jesus) and I realized I’d felt him before back when I heard this song on the radio.

This song has special meaning to me as well. The first time I ever experienced God before I was saved. In despair, I prayed to a God that I didn't know. I went outside and saw a few shooting stars. That's when I felt Him for the first time. I gave my life to Jesus, got filled with the Holy Spirit, and it has been me and God ever since. It's amazing the things He does to reach us.

I'm from a Christian household and I've been brought up on Christian music but I rarely listen to it anymore, but skillet is one of those bands I return to again sometimes
When i was younger i was at a martial arts school and we would do warm ups to skillet because our sifu was Christian. The Sifu, the music, and everything brought me closer to God. It was in my early to mid teenage years when things feel the worst so it helped me mentally prepare for the future
