Skillet proves that being Christian has no bearing on how amazing a band can be. There are some incredibly ignorant people who are missing out on Skillet music simply for that reason and its so sad.
I'm real glad that I found this band as early as I did. I've been listening to them since I was 5. They got me into music, and they saved my life at 15.

When we were blessed to see Skillet up close..so inspired..motivating the tried and true Skillet Heads..God used their gifts to open the eyes of skeptical mom's and dad's..in the audience..to inspire and bless them. Tweens, Teens and adult kid's on fire for God..gave families a much needed gift of the thrill of God...as I saw it..Love, Laura..Mom and Meemee..Thank You Skillet Family..your rock keeps me going cooking good food for hospital staff and families each day.

This song reminds me of the Comatose days. Doesn't feel as poppy as some of their newer stuff. Nice to go back a bit to their roots but have it still seem modern.
Ehhh it is but still isn't in many aspects. I mean I remember the first Skillet album I heard was their Collide album, and it'll probably never return to that but this song is still it's more rock than pop. More than what can be said about other groups.
Considering the old days were 1996 where they were basically a grunge band I'd say this is not in any way poppy :-) They have been through A LOT of transformations over the almost 25 years since their debut ;-)

Skillet introduced me to the very concept of Christian Rock. I didn't think such a thing was possible with the very traditional home I grew up in but when my mom and dad saw them at winter jam, oh man. They fell in love just as I did.
I’ve only been listening to skillet for 2 and a half months now. I’m 12 and Jen has inspired me so much to play drums!! John has an amazing, powerful voice and Korey has great guitar skills as well as Seth :) Love you guys!!

Speaking as a former military and current service industry peon, this song is how I feel at work every single day. Everyone wants to be served. No one wants to serve, be it military or civilian service. Please, people, be kinder to your waiters and waitresses, cashiers and delivery people.
I so admire this band’s way of storytelling. So many of their videos are a grapple between light and dark, and this one seemed like a call out by each of them from their own personal darkness so to speak. I’ll admit the latex over John’s eyes was a little creepy 😂 but I’ve appreciated this song since it came out for the fact that it doesn’t just end happy. It remains in the personal struggle waiting for help and I can appreciate that, because we often struggle for a long time before even coming close to finding our answers. I should expect nothing less from the video for a song that so intensely grapples with reality and pain. And I have to say, that purple water design for Jen? Heck. Yes. THIS!!!!!!! Holy crap, but THIS!! This speaks to my soul! The symbolism, the lyrics!! I frequently speak of last year as a dark year for me, where I felt like I was trapped, and drowning in a dark place. Everything people said to me, or even sometimes the way they looked at me, I would percieve it as though it were in a negative way. I felt like nothing I did was good enough. I as a person, was not good enough. Then while listening to a worship song, my eyes were opened and I realized I had been blind (John's being blinded stood out so much to that!) I had a veil over me, twisting everything I saw, and everything I heard. There is NOTHING that can take my value, for it is in Christ and no one else that my value belongs! Ehhh it is but still isn't in many aspects. I mean I remember the first Skillet album I heard was their Collide album, and it'll probably never return to that but this song is still it's more rock than pop. More than what can be said about other groups.
Considering the old days were 1996 where they were basically a grunge band I'd say this is not in any way poppy :-) They have been through A LOT of transformations over the almost 25 years since their debut ;-)

Skillet introduced me to the very concept of Christian Rock. I didn't think such a thing was possible with the very traditional home I grew up in but when my mom and dad saw them at winter jam, oh man. They fell in love just as I did.

I so admire this band’s way of storytelling. So many of their videos are a grapple between light and dark, and this one seemed like a call out by each of them from their own personal darkness so to speak. I’ll admit the latex over John’s eyes was a little creepy 😂 but I’ve appreciated this song since it came out for the fact that it doesn’t just end happy. It remains in the personal struggle waiting for help and I can appreciate that, because we often struggle for a long time before even coming close to finding our answers. I should expect nothing less from the video for a song that so intensely grapples with reality and pain. And I have to say, that purple water design for Jen? Heck. Yes. Thanks for giving me a reason to rock this morning, Skillet!

THIS!!!!!!! Holy crap, but THIS!! This speaks to my soul! The symbolism, the lyrics!! I frequently speak of last year as a dark year for me, where I felt like I was trapped, and drowning in a dark place. Everything people said to me, or even sometimes the way they looked at me, I would percieve it as though it were in a negative way. I felt like nothing I did was good enough. I as a person, was not good enough. Then while listening to a worship song, my eyes were opened and I realized I had been blind (John's being blinded stood out so much to that!) I had a veil over me, twisting everything I saw, and everything I heard. There is NOTHING that can take my value, for it is in Christ and no one else that my value belongs! I see now and will remember this fact! Thank you, Skillet so much, for showing me this message again! I am saved! He saved me! God bless you beautiful wonderful and precious tools of God!
