Real talk: When I was 18, I felt the same. Every era has fakes and real artists. Being blind to the real ones in your own time is a real risk. The past wasn't that good. Live while you're still alive.
I think that when you become an adult you learn a lot more about the world and relationships. Mostly people's toxic behavior like lying or dishonesty this is worse in relationships than giving plain truth. It's simpler makes me more reliable and trustworthy. People know I won't screw them. People who gossip or spread rumors aren't trustworthy. That's what I've learned in my life
