As you mentioned correctly that in western nations everyone prefer travelling by public transport, few months back I was in Sydney, Australia, and all the people travelling by train were people working at very high posts, people wearing expensive designer bags and clothes but travelling by train instead of cars shows that they prefer only public transport as a mode of transport to work place. I wish this culture can be adapted here in India too, if the Modiji keep gifting India such miracles.

@@vktruth Good but Doesn’t matter (same argument here) Year on year growth rate of highways is reducing in China around 5% (total length of 169000 kms in 2021 Vs 177000 kms in 2022) Growth rate of expressways in India is 60% moreover you haven’t included the high class National Highways here which alone is 146,145 kms It’s impossible for China to have 60% growth rate now at this stage for a simple reason that there is no need to. Bottom line - China has done a good job in past and is reaching its max potential. India is a rising star and is growing at very fast rate.

As you mentioned correctly that in western nations everyone prefer travelling by public transport, few months back I was in Sydney, Australia, and all the people travelling by train were people working at very high posts, people wearing expensive designer bags and clothes but travelling by train instead of cars shows that they prefer only public transport as a mode of transport to work place. I wish this culture can be adapted here in India too, if the Modiji keep gifting India such miracles.

It’s wrong to ever compare any country to India . Have you seen roads in Sydney ? There’s a clear divided roads and less traffic but in India that’s never gonna work . In the same way with so much population this train logic is never going to work . And most of these new trains will never be affordable for the middle class or lower middle class . And if it’s even affordable for the upper middle class or rich absolutely they are never gonna take these trains and would prefer travelling In cars

It’s impossible for China to have 60% growth rate now at this stage for a simple reason that there is no need to.
