    Hello from Tokyo, India!
    Japan has grown into the world's second largest economy by building the Shinkansen bullet train connecting the major cities of Tokyo and Osaka.
    High-speed rail is essential for an economic powerhouse!
    I am confident that India will eventually become an economic superpower surpassing Japan and China. I believe that the Shinkansen can greatly help it.
    It is sad that some Chinese and Indonesians are making fun of the Indian bullet train, assuming that the project has failed because of the delayed opening. However, the Indonesian high-speed railroad is only 100 kilometers long, and extending the railroad is difficult for the time being, and has been removed from the national project. (From Wikipedia) In contrast, the Indian bullet train is 500 kilometers long and will be extended in the future.
    Let's make this project a success in India and Japan!🇯🇵❤️🇮🇳

    Mumbai to Ahmedabad will make much more sense when extended to Delhi. A bullet train taking less than 6 hrs between Delhi and Mumbai will be a game changer.

    • @emontv9080
      @emontv9080 Год назад +53

      How exactly will it be a game changer?
      Ahmedabad and Mumbai distance is short, hence expensive train travel saves time
      But Mumbai to delhi is 1500km
      It takes 2+2 hours by flight including travel to airport and security
      5.5 hours by train?
      Considering how crazy expensive this project is vs no real public spending in airways
      This won't exactly be much cheaper than budget flights AND use our tax money.
      There are some benefits like more luggage and better boarding experience but I wouldn't call that a game changer especially when Airports are getting metro lines too

    • @achu10mech41
      @achu10mech41 Год назад +144

      @@emontv9080not every city along the route has airports and it will be useful in longtime. Flight are cheaper and lesser duration still all premium trains and 1st AC are always on demand so there are people prefer railways than airways due to various reasons and it will have the same boarding facility like airports.
      It is a game changer.
      And it will take same 5-6 hrs it this train also

    • @emontv9080
      @emontv9080 Год назад +15

      @@achu10mech41 All premium trains see demands? I can pull up many articles of Vande Bharat on many routes running under capacity due to high pricing, and this is atleast 2x more expensive to build than vande Bharat
      AC1 often looks in demand because its generally highly reserved for government employees and their families.
      I'm not saying its completely a bad thing but its a stretch to call it a game changer just because it connects a few towns along the way.

    • @achu10mech41
      @achu10mech41 Год назад +42

      @@emontv9080 In these corridors where bullet trains are planned demand is there be it govt employees or business man or their families all are passenger count only . They are not free loaders. And let's see how they fix prices. For any country upgrade in their public transports is game changing moment currently most people travel at speed of 130kmph highest in this train it will be 260 on average.

    • @emontv9080
      @emontv9080 Год назад

      @@achu10mech41 I agree a passenger is a passenger, but there is one thing called artificial demand vs real demand.
      In my opinion money spent developing this completely different corridor would've been much in better spent on enhancing projects like developing the entire railways to 180 kmph routes to allow Vande Bharat to run better, because it has MUCH more utility at much cheaper cost and currently on most routes its speed is heavily underutilized.
      Bullet trains on longer routes are an extreme vanity and better served by flights. The only reason government employees travel in AC1 is policy not economics.
      As explained in the vide, sub 1000km still have much more utility over flights because they are actually faster, over 1000km? Its just unnecessary
      You want to know a stat? Entire cost of just building (not operating) the project will be 1.8 lakh cr TILL AHMEDABAD, Largest Airline in India which carry about 8.5cr passengers per year is valued at 1 lakh cr, half of the project cost
      Till delhi cost would be 4x
      Mind you, IndiGo has hundreds of planes, destination, crew and still operating revenue of less than 15k cr a year

    People who are comparing Indian Bullet train project with Indonesia...
    Must Understand...
    In Indonesia Chinese workers and Chinese machines are doing the majority of work with Indonesian workers.
    **But in India L and T(an Indian company) is doing the construction.**
    **Electrical overhead Wiring will also be done L and T**
    Machines are also built and operated by Indian engineers. Only Chief engineer comes once a while from Japan to see progress and modifications.
    **So technically India is learning how to make bullet train project**
    **Just like we learned how to make world class Metro infrastructure**
    And also JAPAN'S bullet trains are safest and best in the world.
    "So asking for help again n again in future from Japan is not what India is thinking."
    That's why it is taking time.
    Additional info -- Indonesia's route length is 142 km with 4 stations.
    **India's route length is 508 km (476 km is elevated on pillars, including 21 km undersea tunnel) with 12 stations.**
    **Edit- Undersea tunnel will be made by AFCONS which is also an Indian Company.
    So it will take time.

    Many people are debating routes, its very easy to answer that question, we need to find out how many people travel by flight and AC 2 tier between any 2 large cities, rank them in descending order then select. Idea is to switch AC train and flight passengers to bullet train. Also average flight time is usually around 2 to 3 hours + atleast 2 hours for taxi takeoff landing security gate waiting etc. so flight time about 5 to 6 hours, so if average bullet train is 250 kmph then 6 hours by bullet means 250x6 = 1500 kms this is the max distance to be served on high priority as for much longer distances than this flights would make much more sense. So in my opinion routes could be
    1. Delhi Mumbai
    2. Delhi - Kolkata
    3. Bangalore Chennai
    Start with these then once teh technology is well established and average speed can be raised above 300 kmph then south and north and east and west can be connected like blore - delhi , kol - mum etc.

    Many people like to criticize anything new our government does. Twenty-five years ago people complained about the Mumbai-Pune expressway. People said - that expressways/ highways will never work in our country and we are wasting money; however, that expressway has helped develop Pune's economy exponentially. Business between Pune and Mumbai increased exponentially. Bullet trains between Ahmedabad and Mumbai will help the economy of this corridor. Within the next 15 years, our government should have bullet trains connecting business hubs. I am happy to see our country is finally building infrastructure to grow our economy. Indians deserve this and more. Jai Hind.

    I am from Maninagar, Ahmedabad and I live in Mumbai. I always prefer taking the Vande Bharat any day over flights. The door to door time for Vande Bharat is 5-5.5 hours. Same is the case with flight. There are huge queues in the airport these days plus the wait at the conveyor belt. All in all that takes about 5 hours that too in uncomfortable seats. Vande Bharat is the best mode so far. Very luxurious and very comfortable. I have never seen a Vande Bharat going empty even on a weekday. If not Vande Bharat, the next best option is Tejas Express. The seats and food are better in Tejas IMO. Earlier I used to take Duronto and Shatabdi. Shatabdi is the worst among these.

    Bullet train should have been on Pune Mumbai route vs Ahmedabad. Economically most viable option as it will yeild the returns plus short distance of 150 KM. It would have proven the technology like the expressways and would have paved the way for other routes. But politics gets into it and a route from Mumbai to no where. If it doesn’t yeild the returns faster then it’s doomed for everyone. More people were likely to pay and likely to travel on Pune Mumbai route which is basic common sense and arithmetic.

      1) Japan has been operating bullet trains since a long time and not a single accident has been reported till date. Chinese bullet trains are cheap copies and Chinese bullet trains have already had accidents, lol.
      2) China will give you loans with high interest rates and Japan has given you a loan with an interest rate of only 0.1%, that too for the next 50 years. If you are unable to pay Chinese loans on time then they grab your property😂
      3) Chinese will always prefer Chinese workers etc in such projects. Japanese are teaching Indian engineers new technologies and skills.

The Bullet train should be in Mumbai but instead of Ahmedabad it should be to Bangalore or Nagpur or Goa or Delhi or Hyderabad.... On those routes their is multiple Major metro cities which can be mostly beneficial for the Bullet train business.. such as IT hubs in Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur, Belgaum, Etc.
