    We need bullet trains connecting south to north India. Chennai, Kochi via bangalore to Hyderabad to Delhi. To reduce current traveling time in trains.

The increased charges are used for additional seats / trains one per railway regions; say Kolkata to Trivandram to take care of West, South west n southern railways. One from Delhi to Mumbai to take West, North, Northeast divisions, Delhi to Cochin to touch North Central n Southern, last Mumbai to Guwahati to address East, central and west. The cost is fed by even poor people. Now Modi ensured more trains by not increasing any charges to poor, but charges rich by charges 3 times to 5 times for rich in new Vande Bharat that attracts most of the rich travelling in normal trains by creating X + Y seats vacant in normal trains while accommodating these X + Y in costly trains. The income additions are only collected from rich that is Rs. 2400 cr, but ensured more seats for poor without additional cost. Each VandeBharat train costs Rs. 100 cr. So Modi adding only additional 16 trains this year n the rest for Electrification n station mgmt. with better security. See poor is totally enjoys normal fares. At the current rate of progress Bharat will have min 160 km /hr trains of 20 additions per yr for sure. This is called Modinomics. Would you prefer a PM who ensures to more seats without extra charges while that cost is borne by only rich?

      Per Capita GDP which is the true indicator of how much the conditions of people have improved. 2003-13 = 11.02% and 2013-23 = 5.38%
      Rural wages growth: UPA=7.4% NDA=1.3%
      Youth unemployment: UPA=17.8% NDA=45%
      Global Hunger Index Rank UPA=55 NDA=107
      Extreme poverty rate reduction: UPA=15.7% v. NDA=6.6%
      Now about infrastructure. National debt increased by 188.4% in last 10 years from 55.8 to 180.5 Lakh Cr. Offcourse if you are taking GST on literally everything and then increasing the country’s debt by a ridiculous amount then you need to do infrastructure at least especially when the above metrics show there has been no improvement in livelihood of people. Now even for infra the budget, the debt and the amount of money spent don’t match up. And also 70-80% of this infrastructure can’t be used by 90% of people (middleclass+poor percentage in India) due to high ticket and toll prices.

      The bullet train is not really what India needs right now. It seems more like a gimmick the name of development. India has more important things to worry about - and to spend its money on.

    I left India as a 28 year old during the dark days of Congress misrule and utter corruption at every step. I wasted over 2 years looking for a job. It was a complete chaos. I wish PM Modi was born earlier indeed. But India's new confidence and infrastructure will inspire many many of us to go back to our roots sooner than later ~

    I live in a small town and I can assure that it's not just the tier 1 or tier 2 cities that have transformed their railway stations but small town stations are also transformed they look no less than an airport. However, the unfortunate part is that we as citizens fail to take care of national property. Government alone cannot do everything we need to instill civic sense in the masses as well. From travel perspective improvements can be seen in all upper classes, but the general classes still needs improvement as it still remains overcrowded and filthy.

    In our country all work is going on very well except coach of local train, it is divided into sleeper and non sleeper,Now there is a need to build a station like metro train in our country, just like in foreign countries the train stations do not need to be clean, so that one can travel in a clean environment without any crowd, please Modi sir do one more thing

Railway budget mgmt.: from Nehru as pm till Dr. Singh 2014 was PM every yr the union budget plants an increase of 5% for X no. of seats in 2nd class and 15 % for Y seats in AC in all new trains that gves Rs. 1400 cr. The increased charges are used for additional seats / trains one per railway regions; say Kolkata to Trivandram to take care of West, South west n southern railways. One from Delhi to Mumbai to take West, North, Northeast divisions, Delhi to Cochin to touch North Central n Southern, last Mumbai to Guwahati to address East, central and west. The cost is fed by even poor people. Now Modi ensured more trains by not increasing any charges to poor, but charges rich by charges 3 times to 5 times for rich in new Vande Bharat that attracts most of the rich travelling in normal trains by creating X + Y seats vacant in normal trains while accommodating these X + Y in costly trains. The income additions are only collected from rich that is Rs. 2400 cr, but ensured more seats for poor without additional cost. Each VandeBharat train costs Rs. 100 cr. For stone pelting Rs. 250 / day / person paid every single day weather pelting task is directed by a politician a or not. It is a MNREGA kind of min 365 days * Rs. 250. Same in TN , people are getting almost all free. So who gives more freebies that party gets vote. In addition, almost every week one public meeting by min one political party where one quarter, Rs, 500, one Chiken briyani. There is a wonderful world where one works n earns money with full self respect whihc is not know to TN people as of now. If a KArmaveerar kind person becomes CM, that day will be the day fro TN freedom. For u these are unacceptable. If poor moves up in teh life style, then people will start asking question, then vote bank freebies wont work. So like u are interested the poor will continue. Be happy.
