I am a victim of domestic violence and have a PTSD diagnosis. Her performance made me cry - she is a fake, dangerous, and a disgrace to anyone who has ever suffered abuse. We do not talk about it the way she does. We cry with tears, not dry eyes. Trauma memories do not remember the colour or cleanliness of a carpet or misted breath on a window, but forget the emotions we felt. She needs to be prosecuted for perjury.

i dont think this is fair. i understand if you dont believe her testimonies, but victims of abuse react in many different ways.

    • @Mckinley-mick
      @Mckinley-mick Год назад +5

@@barphh while that is true that everyone reacts different- psychology is based on science and then DSM-5 that is used universally has clear scales that record and determine with almost complete accuracy if someone falls under that diagnosis. Dr. Hughes really aired her dirty laundry by saying “I diagnose/label people in my office all the time without having them take the test” which I understand that to be highly illegal to do such things under the guise of your clinical expertise. Also, PTSD is shown to be one of the most commonly and easiest mental disorder to fake. So she just completely lost credibility from that slip up alone in my opinion, not even considering all of the other nonsense she spewed.

I tried . I really tried to listen to Amber Heard to hear her side of the story. I lasted five minutes but within seconds I could tell she was putting on a performance. I was a victim of physical abuse and sexual abuse from a husband. I can tell you you do not taunt the abuser as heard in the recorded evidence and you sure as hell don't buy them a knife. She should be ashamed for fabricating this as people, men and women actually suffer real abuse and this makes it harder, especially for men, to come forward with their real true stories. Funny how this “abused battered woman” was caught on tape demeaning and taunting her abuser. Most victims are too afraid to say anything that could cause a reaction from their abuser. Yet she’s caught on camera “I didn’t punch you, I hit you!” While he’s cowering down.

Absolute fallacy. Most abuse victims actually find a way to fight back, to circumvent or to protect through various means. The mediocre or extra-expressive faces she does, the soft voice and the unbelievable detailed and horrific graphic story that she tells looking directly at the jury... and I can't relate to her, I can't find myself sympathizing with her. I guess not all people process things in the same way, but there are emotions that are proven to be universal to us. How can it be so difficult? How can she communicate yet feel so disingenuous to so many of us?
For someone who allegedly had many traumatic experiences from Johnny, how can you face it all, remember it all yet, still... feel so inhumane. I keep coming back to this. I don't know why, but I just love watching and witnessing the absurdity of her pathetic performance. I mean, she actually thought her acting would be believable, not just to the jury but to all of us, and the fact that she keeps pushing this victim narrative shows that she still does. I'd almost feel sorry for her if she wasn't such a despicable human being.

I know people are gonna say, “not everyone acts the same blah blah”, but COME ON.
I’m a victim of abuse, and I know a group of women and a couple men who are victims of abuse/SA. We sometimes have group therapy just to validate each other’s experience and emotions. It’s a mix of a mess of tears, awkward jokes and looking away.
Amber has these emotional “cries” - but when questioned, goes right back into regular speaking patterns. Also, when she “cries” or explains these “traumatic experiences”, she makes a point to look around at everyone in court. So everyone can see how “sad” she is.
From my experience and experience in a group setting, no one has ever done that. A person normally looks away when explaining, or cannot maintain eye contact/focuses on something other than someone’s face. Why? Because you feel ashamed, embarrassed and hurt.

I agree with your statements as a DV survivor.....my present husband whom I met shortly after my escape....said to me that watching her brings back memories of what I was like when we first met...and how different the comparison is....He said it took me years and years to fully recover and that when we first met it worried him that I walked with my head down.....and that I was so fearful jumpy & anxious .....he cannot get over her testimony and all the tiny details like dirty carpet.....who says that.....and all her sad faces and wobbly chin bits but no tears and no welling up of the eyes........I myself was very upset that she brought his daughter into this mess.....I feel this was done with the purpose of getting to him.....he has been very protective over his children and I recall many years ago that he did not want them raised as Hollywood Kids..

Exactly cause réal DV victims do not explain what they have been trough like this. It is really clear that she is saying the things we all know about DV and I think they used the psycholog to testify first before her in this Same idea

AH and JD does not talk to each other like real couple. It sounds like they are litigating. In fact, real couple will not have audio evidence since most of the communication will be done non-verbally. They would know how each other feel and think by slightest of hint of body-language and facial expression.

I served Jury Duty on a sexual abuse case and I can tell you that the victim wasn't able to tell their story this clearly or remember such detailed memories like Amber does. She also cried hysterically at times and sometimes couldn't contain herself! It was heartbreaking. Unlike Amber, she had REAL tears! She also rarely looked at the Jury because you could tell she was embarrassed having to relive what she had to tell us. It was a month long trial and it was super hard to witness her traumatizing experience

As a survivor, it isnt hard to recall, but it is hard to verbalize and express, especially with your abuser in the same room - that level of control and fear is unreal.... And with the amount of shame that courses through your body when you have to force yourself to relive and say what happened... its hard to look at anyone other than the judge and the lawyer asking the questions.

I was SA in my teenage years and I’ve only told a friend or two and I leave certain details out because I feel embarrassed and dirty. I could not go about it the same way amber did it’s very theatrical? And as you said it’s nearly impossible to contain yourself. Sorry but I do not believe amber.

It's kind of amazing that in her court appearances before today she was completely styled, makeup hairdo! I constantly noticed that she was focused on writing on something making notes not looking so much at the camera. Today she came in unpolished, no makeup or very little bare eyed, hair unstyled and no longer taking notes but facing the camera the whole time looking very sad! This woman is a complete narcissistic psychopath! I really pray that Johnny wins this! Maybe this man can finally have some peace in his life!

A real life tragedy actually, but surely the courts aren't going to let these twisted individuals damage and ruin other people's lives. If they don't find for JD there should be an immediate appeal and huge public outcry for true justice. This is INSANE!

Abusers will defend themselves from looking bad/looking like the abuser by minimizing their actions. They will also flip the abuse on their victim by inciting and baiting the victim into reactionary abuse and then try to take the high ground once they got the reaction they wanted. I stand with JD
