Same here, I found these guys on "Audio Galaxy" back around 2000 in high school. I was searching Dream Theater and it said "other bands that sound similar" and it had symphony x and this album popped up... holy hell. Great song and great album.
Its a phenomenon how this band still perform songs from a cd that its release was 22 years before, so professionally. Especially for Allen, unbelievable, world class band !
i used to love dream theater. After mike left the sort of soul changed. I cant say its gone, its just i feel like mikes input is gone plus maybe they are comfortable and they just dont have the same motivation for song writing? i dont know. cant explain it. Its just the songs now dont seem to have a theme or a real meaning. Its just sort of complexity for complexities sake. these days i only listen to the older albums.
@@slickstrings I love Images & Words and Awake, the last albums I listened to from them were Systematic Chaos and Black Clouds and Silver Linings - I felt they weren't really the same band after that. To be fair, the same could be said of Symphony X - the last album I enjoyed from them was Paradise Lost, with the era of The Divine Wings of Tragedy - Paradise Lost being peak Symphony X in my mind. There are parallels between both bands losing their proggy roots and trying to be more "mainstream metal" orientated.
Kickass version with the added drum solo. The guitar tone on the cd for this one was a bit too muted with a bit too much wah for my taste. I like the live versions with a bit more "shredding" in place.
This man's voice is eternal
Damn Russel is awesome live. A true professional.
The first Michael Romeo riff I ever heard and been hooked on Symphony X ever since.
Incredible riff 👍

What make SX awesome is they have 3 talented Michaels in the band
The Romeo one is out of this world though.
@@EetFuk8 they all are. not to forget the rullo
LePond simply OWNS the bass on this song!
I will never not admire Symphony X's live performances. Everything is powerful and professional.
Russell keeps delivering until today!
Wow Russel must've practiced like hell, doing these songs live without any compromise of high notes, impressive!!
such a better band than dream theater
Personal preference. For me these are my two favorite bands with early dt being my absolute favorite.
@@Isuckatlifesorry How can you stand DT singing? It sounds bad!

Got some good news for you about Mike...@@slickstrings
holy shit. last time i saw these guys was in like 2004. Russel's voice is... the same... HOW?! it's been 18 years!
Jason Rullo is a monster
All members of this band are just insanely good. As a drummer, this drummer is just too underrated
Saw Symphony X live in 2015 and it's the same flawless quality, 7 years later... these guys definitely know how to deliver the real thing on stage
my favorite band
The grand design
What a voice
They just kick ass… this is a tough song to pull off. I just listened to this the other day and wondered if they still play it. Hell
Yes they do!
Finally they are back on the Road.
Sooooo nice to see them back in action. It's been long damn overdue. Here's hope for a new album.
Same here! Can't wait for what's next 🔥
The best of all times!!!!!!!
Russel kicks ass everyone! Few like him! Crazy precision!
OMG they are back
It's so sad what happened to Russell Allen's voice.
Oh wait ...
Awesome.

Oh sí, Jason Rullo está más sólido que nunca!
The perfect balance of power metal and prog metal. Awesome ❤️
the money i'd pay to see all of the new mythology suite played live.
Those guys sound so f**king good in live!!
1:54 simplemente perfecto Lepond y Romeo ..
The melodies these gentlemen are able to deliver with sheer dexterity.. "the first to know and to understand.."
Grandes! Suenan igual que cuando los vimos en el Rock Machina allí por el 2000 ...
Thanks for upload this!!!!
Perfect
How come Russell just keeps getting better with age? 🤯
Kick ass videos man! Nice work!
A Masterpiece
Yes! I Saw symphony x open for blind guardian like 2001 maybe? in Springfield Virginia Still awesome live!

Did they introduce any new music by chance?
Not yet, met Michael after a concert and he said he has some ideas that he’s thought of for their next album but it’s a work in progress
@@omairsh8 damn sounds years off
What YJM maybe could have been...? All Hail SYM X torch bearers of neoclassical prog M E T A L
