Lately it's been noticeable that they have no desire to write a new album, specifically since Russell's accident in 2017. 2 years ago they interviewed Russell and he said they expected to release the new album in 2023 and it's been a year and nothing, the same with Romeo he said he was working on new music for Symphony X and still no word on anything new. I doubt that this year (2024) they will even release a new album, as they themselves said, they don't start writing new music when they are on tour and this year they already have several dates scheduled, and I wonder last year (2023) they were not on tour, why didn't they take the opportunity to write new music? Personally I think that if they were to release a new album it would be their last one.

this song is such trash its like five finger death punch wrote a cheesy ballad thats 10 minutes long ive always hated it. Romeos band is so far gone its like they pick the most garbage commercialized songs and play them live all the time on every single tour its so uninteresting. It doesnt help that none of them have any stage presence and look like a bunch of posers that arent into what theyre playing. Romeo in particular always looks like he has better things to be doing even during the soloing which is sloppy and lacks confidence. Allen also annoys me its like thinks he's too cool to be in romeos band and his performances are so self indulgent where it comes off like he just got hired as a mercenary to do the tour. romeos band really needs to break up already, theyre well past their expiration date and it shows.
Listen, this isn't my favorite song they do either, but what in the world are you talking about...? They are generally one of the most consistent live metal performances I've seen. I'll give you that this isn't their best live showing... I've seen them multiple times, and the crowd energy is a huge part of their performance energy... sounds like the crowd is a snooze fest here.
