Russell just created a core memory for that little girl that she will carry with her for the rest of her life. One of the greatest metal singers of all time and just a good man. Hard not to love the dude.
Haven't listened to them in a long time, yet again i'm reminded what a complete metal guitarist Michael is. How the hell does he channel all those glorious riffs? He's the man.
I was there as well! It was indeed a memorable time. Everything about the show was exceptional, the sound was amazing, and the band performance was outstanding as always! Thank you for sharing this high quality recording of the show!
You see this legendary band, you see metal need some new EPIC bands.... like SymphonyX!!!! I dont remember new bands sound so amazing like this anymore.
I have seen Symphony X Live I think six or seven times since 2000 (first show I went to was V tour in Santiago Chile)... ever since Underworld their set lists have remained heavily tilted to more heavy stuff in Iconoclast, Underworld and Paradise Lost, but hasn't really gone back to the old stuff other than Evolution or Sea of Lies/.... It's always GREAT to see them live, but they keep repeating the songs they choose to play. I'd love SX to do a tour where they played DWOT and other old album's stuff Or it would be even better if they were to announce a new Album
Agreed. They are an awesome band and they can’t play a bad show. But they keep repeating the same setlists over and over again and that gets boring, at least for me.
I agree the albums past The Odyssey aren't the best, but they did play from the older material. Sea of Lies, Evolution, Inferno, and well, I like Without you as well. I wish they would play more of their old stuff, but it's what it is.
Well there are people who like newer albums more! I find Paradise and Iconoclast (this album is like a Painkiller, no single bad note in it) to be one of the best albums ever, not only by SX, but in general! So much mean riffing, groovie parts and epic melodies!

Great memory! Both bands killed it, Symphony X and Heathen.

I really wish I saw them on this tour 😢. Hope they come around again. They're my favorite band of all time and I really want to see them

Saw these guy June 2nd... they're such a great band. Thanks for sharing!
MONSTERS!
What happened around 1:20:00 til 1:22:00 shows why Russell is an amazing man
he jumped down to get my daughter cause the people started crowed surfing and didn’t want her to get hurt
@@nikkim4911 Yes, I've realized that at the very beginning. What a legend
I can't wait their next show in Paris on September, 11th!
Allá nos vemos !
On that note Mister guitar player is the shizz dizz incredible player
Micheal Romero is crazy.
Dehumanized!!!!!!
Love SX, but a bit sad to see that they have not grown more. Still small venues and so on. Same as I first saw them in 2005.
Does anyone know where I can find a live performance of "Reign in Madness"?
I've also checked around but I've never found a video of that. I don't even know if they've ever performed it live
Get a new manager you should be doing way large venues on that note you guys are about the music fuck yes ❤

They said they are working on a new album at the beginning of the set !!!!
They did announce that they’re working on a new album, about 28:15 in.
@@LAtendorloin oh that's amazing!! I didn't even watch the vid - I saw the setlist and I was like "oh I've seen these too many time" .wow! great!
@@LAtendorloinThey already said that some years ago… still waiting.

everybody whos a metalhead who worked with me went and saw them at jaxx and we all agreed the odyssey was the best albums they did
V is still my favorite, followed by The Odyssey.
my list:
DWOT - V - Oddysey - Iconoclast -Paradise Lost - Underworld - Symphony X - Live Edge of Forever
I am a metalhead and I always wanted to play like Michael Romeo in Young Guitar videos. But still my favourite album is Iconoclast
Iconoclast >>>>
"Anyway, here's an entire setlist from all of our shitty albums"
I agree the albums past The Odyssey aren't the best, but they did play from the older material.

I wish they would play more of their old stuff, but it's what it is.
Their shitty albums are the reason they are able to pull a crowd of this size and put food on the table
Iconoclast is my favourite album. I'll see them in Germany 12. September and I'm so stoked!
