Kappa Chino , you are wrong. I do like them but I prefer Skillet. They are exclusive, totally different from any other bands. Their style of music, stage performance & way of riffing. The best part is Jen Ledger. You won't find any Lady who play drums n sing
Bulus Iron Maiden how am I wrong? It was my own opinion, I literally said imo. That is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard today, but Jen ledger is a good singer though. Main reason why I prefer TFK is because they're consistently good. Skillet's newest album felt lacking to me, except the resistance, which was a keeper in my "good stuff" playlist. *Sorry if this comment was too long, I couldn't find a way to shorten it*
Kappa Chino , I agreed, but I liked them since I was in 7th grade, I can't imagine any other bands can compete them. I guess u like Emo. If you don't mind, do u play any musical instruments, if yes. What kind of music?
Bulus Iron Maiden I'm not into emo stuff, although I jam to Paramore and PATD on a daily. I'm more of a metal/rock (both modern and old school) and yes, I play the guitar! I play metal and rock, especially Linkin Park and Halestorm, my two favorite bands. What are you into? You play any instruments too?
Gordon Poor Yeah, definitely. I wish Skillet kept their old school sound. I felt that "Awake" and "Unleashed" were watered down just for the sake of more radio play.
I came to this video because of the linkin park riffs, then I see three days grace, korn, and disturbed. I'm in the right place and I like how there's no long intro or long ending but its straight to the point and that's what I love, can't wait to see what else you have!

The only Skillet songs I know on Guitar are My Obsession, Hero, Monster, Awake and Alive, and Better than Drugs. Very simple and easy riffs. Tunings below for self taught Chads. As a Skillet fan for years, I think their best or most iconic songs are from the 2000s while their better, more interesting guitar riffs are from the 2010s.
Monster in my opinion is to iconic to skillet fans i mean the moment you hear the opening riff you know the song and lose your shit or if you like anime amv you will have familiarity with the song saying its familiar

Skillet were the ones that introduced me to hard rock and then metal, I will never forget these guys.... thank you Skillet.

It always amazes that Skillet are a christian rock band, and yet this is some of the heaviest stuff I've ever heard.

Alter bridge is great. But mark uses a different tuning for almost every song
Chase Hill Not SO much though. He uses Drop C# a lot or that half-step down Drop A# tuning. Those two tunings could handle 10 songs no problem.
