Miss this game, it really sparked my imagination when I was younger. Thank you to the devs that poured themselves into this game! I hope that one day we may be able to return to Nexus

There are so many things that are in this trailer that are a part of the game, only when I just re-watched it that I saw them all.

Things the trailer announced in retrospect:
Spellslinger, Warrior, and Esper Classes.
Scientist, Settler, and Explorer Paths.
Human, Aurin, and Granok playable races.
I really hope this game pops up sometime in the future again.

@@Casomyro1983 Because it catered to whom they thought was the ‘Hardcore’ audience, whom were really just whiney and found it too hard.
@@JurneeJakes I don't thinl that was the major reason. If they would have stuck with that, everything would have been fine. But they tried too hard to be WoWs killer, wanted to appeal to everyone instead of their core audience.

2024 and there still hasnt been a game to even come slightly close to this game... the death of this game was pretty much the end of my gaming days i miss wildstar and id come back to gaming for it

I love this game's atmosphere. It's so zany and witty. Reminds me a lot of WoW back when it took itself seriously, but not too seriously.
I'm going to learn Starfinder and keep the memory of this world alive. Too good to disappear into the void.

A mystery that will never be solved: Why WildStar failed. Such a great game deserved a better end.
@giveagoodsong It had great innovative gameplay and the storywriting was fun. The problem was advertisement. Whenever they released new content, no one knew of it, save for the active players and those who checked the news regularly.

@@qp7975 I dont know if it was the only reason, but from what i experienced, it was the major one. That is NCSofts general problem, in Guild Wars 2 as well. They have ideas, they continue the story and make new events and content, but if you dont actively inform yourself about the news, you are most likely not going to hear about it.
@@Mediados man, I've never heard of this game before, like in having an existential crisis bc how amazing this game looks like, the artstyle the ingame visuals. Im a sucker for this space adventurer worlds, I remember I played lol just because of the space odiseey event. I lover borderlands and the mmorpgrpg genre, the fact that game was free to play would have been an amazing opportunity for me to play it, considering I was 13 back in 2012 this would have been my chance. Also a scifi mmorpg? like why are no games like that, everyone goes towards medieval fantasy stuff. And the current space mmos are not my thing. Omg whyyyy this game was like made for me and I just learned about it now that im 22.

i would actually really like to see a movie type of thing with these characters, liking the personalities they have and kinda gives me the firefly/borderlands 2 feeling :D

Anybody noticed there's a general theme song to Wildstar? The song at 1:07 sounds almost like the char-creation song. Amazing!
I will never say this game will beat WoW, however i really have High expectation with this game.
Hopefully it will take a sweet bite out of it.
It will be a massive benefit for WoW players to be less clingy. People should play videos because they enjoy the game, not because they've played the same MMO for the last 7 years and are really reluctant to migrate to greener pastures.
scw55 The clingy part comes from making progress, it feels wasted when you quit which makes players want to stay where they are. I'd personally jump from WoW to this game if it was up right now because of the CC-filled PvP, even though I've already made progress in WoW though. If WoW's next expansion turns out like this one you can bet me and many others will be looking at WS.
WoW is a pure shit next to WildStar! Don't you dare to compare that ugly thing and WS - the best game

@@RytoNazrul i hope wow will die... If you google a little free mmo and you will be surprised how many shit games, much more sthitty than wow, are alive now. So only god knows why WS was shut down. But maaaay beeee blizzard killed it because only WS can beat wows old mildewed ass. Not all that shitty "fly for fun" or "fiesta online" for example, but only WildStar

And the potential to become something great vanished as the caretaker shut down it's servers. This game was a roleplayers paradise.
This game just combined cowboys, nightcrawler and dual wielding pistols... words cannot describe how awesome that is :')

Wish they would actually continue this as a mini series. It would be great PR for the game if they hired someone to continue it.
Look for the awesome around 0:15-3:30. Unique art direction + Sifi setting + FireFly humor = WIN.

Troy Baker, Tara Strong, and Jim Cummings are three of my favorite voice actors ever.
I hope we actually get to see and interact with these characters in-game.
And to add something else, maybe a character voice acted by Nathan Fillion or somebody from Firefly. What can ya say, there's a sense of "space western" here. 'Wild'-star 'wild'-west, score featuring guitar, cowboys...with lasers and teleportation!
I still haven't found a good replacement for this game. It really was one-of-a-kind.

Okay so that bunny girl is Tara Strong. She is the actor of Dil Pickles from Rugrats. Nibbles from tom and jerry. Batgirl. Bubbles from powerpuff girls. Raven from teen titans. Poof from fairly odd parents. o-o and Ben from Ben10 They've got some well know actors in these trailers.
Next to Guild Wars 2 one of the best MMOs back then.

Tara Strong is a voice actor in basically everything. Think of about 5 video games/cartoons you know and I bet 2-3/5 will have her in it.
This has a very Firefly vibe about it, Space Western feel, witty dialogue, characters with personality. Someone please have the money, and temerity to make this an animated series. If peeps can make Battleship into a movie, Legos and Angry Birds a TV show. This should be a cinch right?

I had originally only viewed this trailer because Tara Strong is the VA of that Aurin, but damnit I've found myself really drawn into the game, too. If it does become a television series, Tara had better remain the VA of that Aurin!

they're just really long and are on the bottom of her ears. I made an aurin to check that, change the hair type and you can see.

I just wish rather than an MMORPG they would do a single player game or a co-op with friends, they have everything, awesome lore, stunning models, props, music, sounds, a whole universe. Just build it up around a different game model/genre. I wanna go back, please 🥺
While I really like MMOs, I would love that. They could make the world so much more immersive. Even wrote a story about how they found Nexus.

This game looks so freakin' amazing!!!!!!!!!! Haha, this looks like it will be so much fun. I've said it already in other videos but I LOVE the Firefly type vibe I'm getting. This looks like it will be a welcome break from the typical MMO's as of late. Consider my Pre-Order a guarantee. SPECIALLY if there's a collector's edition. Full of the behind the scene stuff we're getting already in this channel. I dig that kind of stuff.

Phew, there is some serious money being thrown at this title, judging by the production values in the animation and voice talent. Looks like someone is finally going all-in enough to scoop the MMO market like WoW did. Dunno if it will actually happen, but this is easily the most compelling MMO pitch I've seen since WoW came out. Of course, it remains to be seen if the game is actually interesting, or if it will just be the latest in a series of overhyped clones =P
