This is what most film studios are missing in their attempts in making a “cinematic universe.”
They don’t have a Kevin Feige behind it all. Most studios want easy cash grabs the fastest way possible, Feige and Marvel Studios show their passion for their films making the MCU what it is now.

He himself admitted that he only learned about the source material as he was making those films. Not as a kid or a teenager.

I'm glad Kevin mentioned Tony Leung and what he brings to the movie. Literally, the best actor in Hong Kong - a man who has won 14 Best Actor awards, including one from Cannes - is playing Shang-Chi's father and the main antagonist of this film. I'm way more excited to see him in the MCU than I am any of the others. Looking forward to some HEAVY-duty family drama.

Kevin’s my hero , he & Stan lee are the main reasons why the MCU became a success with its films. And I feel like since Stan died almost three years ago Kevin’s been motivated to continue his life’s work for Marvel from the Comics to tv shows then to films.
I grew up reading the comics then watching the cartoons and movies the spiderman show got me into reading spiderman comics
@@Liqo315 same I saw the 90’s tv shows like Spider-Man , X-men , Fantastic Four , the Incredible Hulk & the Silver surfer. Those shows got me into reading the comics which then lead me to watch every marvel film every made from Fox , Sony & Marvel themselves. Plus some of the games are good like Spider-Man , Ultimate Alliance & The Lego games.
I’ve loved marvel for almost 20 years now & im actually almost 20.

@@Liqo315 I grew up reading the old classics from the early 60’s like the Avengers , X-men & the Fantastic Four. I got them on sale I think either on eBay or Amazon. And I also got some old comics from the 70’s as well that had the fist appearances for the guardians of the galaxy , the Eternals ( which was interesting ) & the inhumans.

Kevin Feige is the man. He's the reason we have the MCU, he's the reason I got to see so many Marvel characters come to life. While there are things I don't agree with, overall I love the MCU. It's a great time to be a cook book fan, just to be able to see and talk about such things.

I'm super hyped for the new Shang-Chi Movie! It's also rather suprising that Kevin Feige had always wanted a Shang-Chi Movie, but a welcome one.
It was one of the first characters for a movie they were working on at Marvel Studios before they even had the rights to The Avengers-characters who were sold off separately in the 90's. That's one of the reasons Hulk is at Universal still and why Paramount was part of Iron Man and Thor, all those characters where once all at another studio. Same goes for X-Men and Fantastic Four at Fox.
Apparently, we'll eventually see one of Shang-Chi's more recent powers be used: self-duplication. This allows him to clone himself while fighting, with his multiple copies all having his mind and skills.

If we don’t see 25-50 Shang-Chi’s jump from a plane and lay destruction I will be very surprised

After Iron Fist used his Chi force to cure Shang-Chi, leaving himself weakened, Iron Fist and the rest of the Immortal Weapons evacuated the building, prompting Shang-Chi to collapse it on top of Ai Apaec leaving him trapped for the Avengers to imprison him once more.

Why does DC always have the be brought in when no one is mentioning it I grew up with both Marvel and DC and love them both equally and yes DC does have problems no doubt but let’s not forget about the dark ages of Marvel having to sell film rights which brought some great Films Blade 1 & 2, X-Men, Spider-Man 1,2 but you aren’t remembering the bad ones. The Suicide Squad was one of the most fun movies I ever saw in theaters and it was better than some MCU films but the casual fanboys will get infuriated if you say that keep in mind I’ve only seen like 6 MCU movies in theaters and two of those including Iron Man,The Incredible Hulk so I’ve been there from the beginning seeing comic book film become way more mainstream over the years.

Yeah. IMO. I think they could’ve gotten away with ignoring it and making changes and maybe keeping the guy. I mean, Shang Chi is suppose to be half Caucasian (I think.) M’ baku went by Man Ape in the comics, Hank Pym is still with his wife in the movies, compared to what he did to his wife in the comics, and MJ from Spider-Man stands for Michelle not Mary.
One of the only producers who has more views for his interviews than his actors haha

Something people oughta know about this guy is how he once put his job on the line for the sake of diversity in the MCU. I think this was before he became the man in charge of it. Mark Ruffulo told this story. He was gon quit if he didn't get what he wanted.

He went for the Stan Lee dream-diverse characters with diverse stories and backgrounds. He butted heads with some of the others who wanted to "play it safe".
@@Vor567tez Perlmutter was above him originally, and that guy seriously sucks. He had views like no one will notice if we recast Iron Man's best friend, for ah, racial reasons. And that no one cares about female heroes. I think it was around and after Age of Ultron, Kevin put his foot down and things were reshuffled. After that, Kevin was only answering to the head of Disney I believe, and I think they were/still are basically like, just go do what you do. That's why phase 3 was the first era we were able to get a person of colour and a woman leading one of these movies.

Sticking to the comics while taking risks and mixing it up
Casting actors who can sell their roles
Being light hearted and inspirational
If Saunta Claus is real, it's Kevin Feige. I hope the fight scenes in this film are stellar and that they keep it up going forth, because past Marvel films have really lacked many truly great fight scenes
for a guy under this level of pressure, he looks amazing.

By far, of the all the characters, Shang-Chi is number one in the Top 10 Best Fighters in Marvel Comics list. Unlike many other martial artists, Shang-Chi is a Grandmaster. ... Just like the aforementioned Iron Fist, Shang-Chi can focus his Chi into energy.

Respect to Feige. The biggest MCU Fan and architect of the whole Marvel Movies.
When he was a Producer on his early years, he really fought for what he thought was best for the movies and pushed Marvel movies on a whole new level.
Even when disney acquired Marvel, they pressured him to a lower budget like Civil War and was pushing for child friendly movies. Sure that the Marvel movies are not as good as years back (being pure comedy without plot) but Feige is just the perfect person to be the head of Marvel Studios.
Now, I want Kevin Feige cameo in every Marvel movies lol

When I heard about this project for the first time I had no idea who he was lol, had to look him up and what comics he was in. The trailers have all been great though and the character looks cool and interesting. I really like this different take on the 10 rings so far though hoping in terms of the universe they can work backward a little bit at some point (maybe even in this film hopefully) and tie the Mandarin in to the mcu past and give us some more resolution with the Trevor Slattery prison thing. I also pray that Iron Man had an encounter with him or was seeking him out from time to time for whatever reason. In my head canon that’s what he was doing globetrotting in Spider-Man Homecoming lol
