Honestly I think there should a documentary on the making of the MCU
Oh there will be documentaries and Movies about this.. this is nothing short of a miracle, what he has achieved in just 10 years
Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe 2014
There are about two documentaries already.
Sure a documentary on a shitty franchise that forever stained and held back the superhero genre.
@@Auron1Roxas2 so edgy bro
Because he didn't care about the numbers and cared so much about the audience... that's why Marvel is so successful.
Michael Adams amen and now we see Warner brothers peasants trynna do the complete opposite with justice league 🤣
EXACTLY
Marvel Studios has a great balance between those 2 things. They always care about the money (and we - viewers, also benefit from this) but they never let that get in a way to bring the maximum joy possible for the fans. For example they are not spoiling and doing a big marketing campaign (that can bring more money) with their biggest movie yet “Endgame” just so they don’t spoil anything important for us.
@@eliotcole663 Marvel cares about the audience and Disney cares about the money, but Disney knows that if they let Marvel tell their stories, the money will roll in naturally. This dynamic is why Marvel has had continued success for so many years.
there is a very long (almost 2 hours if I remember right) making-of of Iron Man 1 on its DVD... there is a lot of Feige there :) and he seems to be focused entirely on budget in it :D
All I learned from this video is Elf laid the foundations for the MCU

So that's who we have to blame for this shitty franchise.

If anyone asks you what sets the Marvel Cinematic Universe apart from all others, show them this interview.

Lol....now I have a picture of some WB boss screaming at the executive producers and Snyder "Kevin Feige was able to built this! With a new studio! And a bunch of debt!"
swanpride but im not Kevin Feige

What an amazing clarity of thought Kevin Feige has, no wonder he as been able to lead such an astonishing accomplishment.
Ivan Ciqno lol
Ciqno Solutions Because he's a fan first then a studio executive second.
He is literally the Nick Fury of the MCU
Tyoxy facts
Tyoxy wrong. Because theres already a Nick Fury in the MCU. Fiege is the Nick Fury of Marvel Studios
He's one of the Watchers
The actors are the characters
Just Fury please.
kevin feige, stan lee, jack kirby
the three face of the living tribunal
Dammit son you went there!! I'm crying.
You should say 4 because Steve ditko worked with Stan lee
The living tribunal has 3 faces, 4 faces wouldn't make sense, also of course you could name many other people along those three but those three are the most important ones.
PresidentialWinner the living tribunal actually does have a 4th face that you can't see

There is no fourth face, he said himself that the fourth side of his skull contains nothing. Unless something happened as of late because I don't read any of the newer stuff.
Man I just love hearing feige talk about the mcu, I have been searching all day just to find interviews with him just talking about the these movies and characters.
Still to this day...when that Avengers Assemble shot is playing at Best Buy or wherever...it gives me chills! That film was so very special...
D World when I saw that during the TV spot, that's when I knew it was going to make a billion.
Avengers endgame had an even better scene, i hope you loved it as much as i did
I'd love to just sit and chat with Feige all damn day
According to Brolin, he throws barbeques and gets all the main players, directors, writers and stars, and they just throw around ideas of how these characters and stories should play out. I'd love to just sit there and say nothing in a corner, it just sounds like a lot of fun.
Alexander Angelus Nobody can resist my delicious BBQ chicken.
No you wouldn't.
He doesn't give throwaway answers or muffs up the truth- he gives you the full truth. I respect that a whole lot.
Yea, Feige is fan.....
This is why Marvel succeeded & succeeds!
Benz Holmes very true
Deric James Wait? I thought you hated kevin feige/marvel studios/mcu films and call them mediocre and forgettable? Plus its owned by disney and you despise them :/
Benz Holmes marvel characters are realtable and grounded.
It's hard to believe how far we have come. And it was SUCH a risk for Feige who put it all on the line.
He, Favrou and RDJ did an amazing feat, but NONE of them could have imagined that we'd be where we are today.
When you do something crazy and roll a crit 20, in real life!
Kevin feige should have a cameo in any upcoming MCU film
Nicholas Guillen maybe when Stan lee dies (which i don't want to happen anytime soon) kevin feige should take over that role
firedneavada and maybe deadpool
I don't think he would want to do it just because he thinks that would be stroking his own ego
They should have Kevin Feige's silhouette as the outline for the cosmic Marvel character "Universe" who is the embodiment of the Marvel universe. That'd be neeat.
Radioactive_ eArThWoRm is he involved with Fox in that way? MCU is his baby
I really enjoyed watching this. Your style here is well crafted. I appreciated the raw feel of this. No music and it has images to accompany the thoughts. Keep it coming
hats off to the composer! Chills every time I hear it!
Alan Silvestri.. he also did the score for 'Back to the future' and 'Predator' ..the guy is FANTASTIC
The score had that classic sci fi feel to it at times. reminded me of alien and star Wars. it was fantastic. but also bringing in the themes from other films. it was epic. the whole film was epic.
oh i almost cry everytime i hear it. perfect
That epic moment is 80% the score IMO. It's not actually the most amazing shot visually. Decent, but nothing mind blowing in the camera work or lighting and it starts better than it ends. I'm not surprised at all that the chills only came for Feige at the mixing session. Funny that he says it was only when Silvestri's score was added that he knew _Whedon_ had done it. I mean, put that score over me eating cornflakes and it would be epic... :P
Man listening to him is just inspirational, he obviously has so much passion for the universe.
Probably the best interview with Feige I’ve seen so far.
“It’s not about the numbers” and this right there is the reason Kevin Fiege is the best studio executive ever. Kathleen Kennedy eat your heart out.
I heard that Kevin Feige will join Lucasfilm to make new Star Wars movie. Hope that will make things get better for SW franchise.
If you think for one second that Kevin Feige doesn't look or cares about the ,,numbers" then you are living in a dream world. Trust me when I say this, working for marvel is like Rasputin selling his soul to the Devil.

I'm glad Feige didn't trash incredible hulk despite the fall out with Edward Norton
I still really enjoy it. I don't like the look of the Hulk as much as the MCU Hulk, it's too ripped, but I like the story, the acting and just about everything else. Eric Roth is awesome as the human side of the Abomination, and Edward Norton is a great Banner.
Mike Green I agree however, I still think hulk from 2008 is the best design I've seen on film. I love the green textures and how ripped he was. I didn't mind his avengers design, but thought it looked awful on age of ultron. I do feel they returned to form in Thor Ragnorak imo.
made me so glad he reaffirmed that the movie is canon
I mean the movie was pretty obviously canon considering General Ross shows up in Civil War.

At least they made him Ronin. Not all but most is washed away.
He is my favourite producer...
okay so take Kevin interview him for 3 hours and put it on a bluray
DC: I have a Justice League...
Marvel: We have a Feige
I’m so proud to have grown up as these movies came out. I know we’re going to look back on these years fondly. I love Marvel and I’m so thankful for the stories they’ve brought us
"We're a product of our time."-Kevin Feige Very thought provoking.
Warner brothers and Dc need to all sit down and watch this video , study it , make it your religion lol
No Name exactly the only reason they started the dceu was just cause of avengers money, when they made man of steel they didn't plan bvs not any universe only superman but after the avengers they wanted to make a dceu, if avengers flopped they wouldn't be dceu.
DC needs a guy like Feige who loves DC and has an actual plan.
djluigi I’d say DC/WB needs a Bob Iger. A CEO that allows a producer to set a vision and build that vision without interference. And yes, that producer should know and love the content of DC comics.
TheBongReyes That works too. I just want those amazing characters and actors to be given justice.
djluigi WB is too corporate with their general decisions. DC will never get close to Marvel until they stop thinking with their pockets/wallets & start letting directors/actors infatuated with DC storylines/characters. Perfect example: Dark Knight trilogy... Nolan don't play around with his films and does everything himself in terms of direction of the movie and whatnot. DCEU is a rushed jumbled mess because they thought with money first trying to play catch up with Marvel instead of pleasing their fans who give them the money!
The Algorithm knows I will never get tired of the MCU creators talking about the MCU.
Marvel cares about the audience, while Disney cares about the money, but Disney knows that if they let Marvel tell their stories, the money will roll in naturally. This dynamic is why Marvel has had continued success for so many years. I think WB is finally starting to realize this and I couldn't be happier about it!
It must be an absolute blast interviewing this guy. Sure, we all love interviews where actors are goofing off with the interviewer (looking at you, Kevin McCarthy and Josh Horowitz), but to interview someone who always immediately has the most intelligent, eloquent answers at the ready that make them sound like he's telling a story...that speaks volumes of the dedication, professionalism and all-round awesomeness of the Feige.
Give this man Star Wars!
I'm super impressed by the high quality of these questions posed by the interviewer. And Kevin's answers were fantastic. Thank you!
This is a great series.
I always get freaking goosebumps with that shot. So perfect, the timing, the camera speed, the order of the team, the score, the proximity with the characters. It is a perfect shot and I don't believe it's is possible to improve it. For what it is trying to do, it's perfection.
Feige is such a genius. Revolutionary.
I love the way he talks, you can tell he is a great leader because he really does care about the characters and actors 😆
Mastermind. Godfather. Architect. Creator. The man behind the most successful movie franchise of all time. His name is...... Kevin Feige!!!
Is Vision the interviewer?
This has always struck me, but when the Avengers first assemble does anyone else think that the howling of the Chitauri sounds like a roaring applause? I mean it's subtle but when it does that rotating scene it sounds like there's a crowd cheering. At least that's how it's always seemed to me and I'm wondering if that A.) Is something that was intentionally done or B.) Just how my mind processed seeing something I never thought I'd get to see in my life time.
Jerrod Schembs I noticed it to . I think it was done intentionally because of the build up of the all the movies previous to that scene
miguellzz and honestly I'm ok with it, it took a lot of effort and planning to do what they did with The Avengers and the MCU in general, they deserve to pay themselves on the back.
6:22 finally, now please bring back Betty Ross
Guess who else **** in the end of ******** ******** ***
Shes dead offscreen, away in dust, all thanks to Thanos
at least someone reminded Kevin she is still a character belonging to the MCU
She’s reported to show up in She Hulk’s Disney+ show in 2022
If I remember correctly, I was 9 years old when Ironman 1 came out and in 2008, loving the Dark Knight... Marvel still impressed me. But I did not know that we were watching the MCU. I didn't knew about the end credits thing or the Avengers.
So when me and my dad saw Incredible Hulk on DVD, and him telling me that Ironman is right there at the end, I remember being so confused as to how that even works and makes sense lol. After 2008, I avoided the Marvel movies, cause to me they were uninteresting.
Then Avengers 1 came out and even after watching 30 second trailer clips on tv, I still did not see the movie. Cause I didn't know who was Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and didn't care about Captain America. I didn't know who the villains were (that was the main reason I didn't go see the movie, plus Spiderman was not in it so I was less interested lol. But only knew Ironman and Hulk.
I was 13, and when I finally saw Avengers 1 on dvd, I was really impressed and wish I saw it in the theater.
Then I started watching every Marvel movie in theaters with Avengers 2 (I skipped 2014, Ant-man 1, and Guardians 2) all the way to now Avengers 4.
I can't believe started watching Marvel movies from the age of 9 to right now 20, I grew up with this franchise! Something I remember wishing I had when I was younger cause I wasn't alive when the OG Star Wars movies came out and was too young for when the prequels came out.
What do you know, Marvel is my Star Wars and I am forever grateful about this!
Thank you Marvel Studios
Ruben Garcia you didn’t really grow up with the franchise if you skipped them and didn’t really see them all from the beginning to begin with
@@famousu3delarosa967 I wish I did. But again, I was young and didn't knew that these movies were connected and was not intrested in Phase 1. But I'm glad by my later teen years to early adulthood, I'm watching these movies :)
Whatever you think of Marvel or DC (I like both), you can’t deny what this man and his studio has achieved.
What Kevin said about Hulk, is the reason why I love that underrated MCU character more than anyone else...Then BP & Cap!
Mr. Feige please continue some storylines and characters from The Incredible Hulk (2008). It's already been 10 years.
Joseph You should focus that plea to Universal Pictures. They are the obstacle for any new Hulk movies.
I just looked up Kevin Feige's net worth: 70 million
Now, while that is a lot of money, this man is hugely responsible for the success of the 20+ Marvel films made since Iron Man. These movies have made billions upon billions of dollars. He should, at the very least, be worth half a billion. Hell, Robert Downey Jr is worth 300 million, and deservedly so.
" the thing about The Incredible Hulk was, Universal holds the distribution rights and you know, Edward Norton." would have been a way better answer.
All through out the interviews I was thinking, this interviewer is really good. He asked all the right questions
this man deserves a huge raise. hes accomplished something that has never been done before. DC/Warner bros needs someone like him over there
I could listen to Kevin talk about these characters and their arcs all day. You can tell that he has a deep love and respect for each one and that they're all his "kids"; he loves them all (:
This video felt like 5 minutes. Amazing, Kevin really loves his work

This Kevin Feige is fascinating, i need more!
Really love the video, good editing, good interviewing style, nice balance of using footage from the films and showing the person talking. Good work!
And I for one welcome our mouse over lords
What a well- spoken man. Insightful questions and passionate answers really make for a fine interview.
Solid, informative, and highly entertaining interview. Love this.
It was Joss Wheedons idea to have Thanos. Good thing.
The Incredible Hulk is a great movie IMO. It's a shame that it's sort of the black sheep of the family in the Phase 1 universe. This was such a great retrospective, thanks RT!
This is why marvel is a success... This man! No other movie studio can come close to him.. Take notes WB and sony
Fox as well. Heck, Lucas Films too. Wtf is Kathleen Kennedy doing to Star Wars?
There couldn't be a better producer for Marvel Studios. Kevin obviously has a deep interest and love for this cinematic universe.
Looking back something I love about phase 1 of the MCU is that while the infinity stones and bigger things like that got introduced later on phase 1 was strictly about setting up the first Avengers movie and nothing else, considering how many big plot threads and things like that are in MCU movies nowadays it’s kinda cool to go back and see that phase 1 was focused 1 thing and 1 thing only, The Avengers
Kevin is so modest he describes one of the most iconic moments in cinematic history as “pretty cool”
And I just got chills with that clip. Iconic.
I was 16 when I saw the avengers in theaters for the first time, I’ve always being a fan of the comics and to see all those characters on screen was dreamlike. But the moment that I remember distinctly is when I saw the assemble scene, right after all the chitary screamed at the avengers and the score kicked in with that round shot my eyes started to water and before I knew it I started weeping out of excitement and was covering myself because I was embarrassed that my friends would see me crying like a little kid. I will always remember that moment and have a huge respect for this man and all the people involve in making this universe come to life, so happy 10 years and here’s to 10 more🙏
oh yeah. that first Avengers assemblage was indeed chilling and epic.
He achieved something historic with the MCU. One of the great producers of our time.
They acknowledged The Incredible Hulk!!!!! Praise for Marvel!
phenomenal video
I could hear him talk about the MCU for hours!!!
Very good talk. My joy was audible in the last 10 seconds.
It's kind of mind boggling how this whole Marvel Cinematic empire that has been created, with at this point, tens of thousands of people working to make these films and series and everything, even all the successes the cast and crew gained after they were in these films, all originate from the head of this one guy. It's kind of remarkable that he's able to have built something so much bigger than himself at a relatively very young age, and he's able to be grounded and level headed about all this. Well done man.
Who saw the Xjet shrunken down wrapped in Wandas magical essence in the S.W.O.R.D facility it was being carried by the Agenst of sword lol
Really good questions. Hope to see more.
Incredible Hulk is by far the most under rated MCU movie, and it spawned 2 cool villains which have been MIA ever since.
these are really really well thought out questions by the interviewer!
Thanks for the interview! Appreciated. Sad he skipped Thor, though...what the heck.
amazing interview
awesome interview!
Thanks to Fiege for making this a huge improvement in Superhero and Comic book movies..
this guy, made my life so much better..in fact he made me find myself.. ty so much -KF for life !!
The MCU succeeds because Feige is a rare combination of a fan who knows how to put a movie together.
wow you can really feel his passion for all of this.
Feige deserves a shit Ton of praise. Iron man 1 to infinity war, so many amazing marvel movies with a lot of enjoyment. Only exceptions are age of ultron, and civil war, but that’s only two mcu movies I didn’t care for. This mcu is fucking amazing! Keep it up!
These are great questions.
So happy with the direction their going as far as style. The first few movies looked like a show from the USA network. Especially the first avengers.
My only wish for the MCU was that we had another Hulk movie. Sure The Incredible Hulk wasn't the greatest, and neither was Thor: The Dark World, but we got an extremely beloved sequel to that with Thor: Ragnarok. I wish we saw more of Mark's Hulk outside of the Avengers movies, because he was great in Ragnarok.
When he said he didn't care about how much money iron man would make or how successful it was, and he only cared about what the audience would think..... He earned my respect!
I appreciate how much Kevin Feige actually cares about these films. I feel the love when I watch the MCU movies
I got goosebumps at the end
Listening to him speak is so soothing. Mad R E S P E C @kevfiege. What a time to be alive
I'd wanna see how Kevin would do the DCEU if given the chance I know there's no chance of that happening but I would love to see his take on it since he seems to have cracked the formula of the whole thing
