That what Chloe said proves she is the right person! Her perspective is much different and unique. It is beautiful how she compared her cinematography idea to sand and understands superheroes movies. It is not only excitement but also excellent craft

Seeing as Chloe herself is a fan of the mcu and the comics, there's no doubt that this movie is gonna hit hard, super hyped to see it
Kevin is such a true comic book fan to its core. Crediting Jack The King Kirby for all his works in Marvel, especially the Eternals was pleasing to hear. You really see his love and passion for comic books.

Chloe Zhao's story about the sand and poem sounds beautiful. I wish the interviewer didn't segue so quickly. I wanted to hear more of it.

As self explained, one person sees sand... someone else sees an entire new world worth exploring.. where does the sand come from? What species live on that world? What's the religion? What's the politics? What are the cultural norms? Hierarchy of power?
The answers to those and more can lead to the building of an entire universe...

Chloe's vision for the film came to life with the A-list cast! I love what she did with them! I loved Druig and Makkari, and it's because of her eye. It was a beautiful film. ❤️ It's in my favorites! Can't wait for the sequel and to see the Eternals again!

I love her visual style
I love that idea of being cosmic and intimate at the same time. And the locations really are beautiful. Marvel could definitely use a lot more on location scenery in their movies going forward. The concept of the Eternals and how it explores history all the way back to the beginning of the universe itself is what made me say "I wanna see this movie." But Chloe Zhao's directing and vision for it has only made me more excited to see it and I really hope to see it explored even more in future Eternals sequels. Perhaps even going back to the beginning of the Marvel universe itself.
Zhao is surprisingly eloquent and knowledgeable. the interviewer’s question was so shallow. I find it hard to imagine Chloe working on something as topical as a comic book movie but it’s clear she did her homework (she referenced Tony Stark and Kirby). As a side note, she’s taller than I imagined.
What a great team to be in.
May they make these contents for years to come and push the boundaries in various ways.
I wonder if the William Blake poem she's talking about is from Auguries of Innocence:
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And ETERNITY in an hour
Actually if you look at the last 2 line it directly connects with marvel.
"Hold infinity in the palm of your palm " is a metaphor to infinity gauntlet with stones.
" And eternity in an hour " because we are going to see the entire history of marvel withink hours

What really intrigues me the most from this movie is what someone like Chloe Zhao can bring to the table, especially on the technical side: on location cinematography with natural lighting. Marvel is used to do movies in a specific way and this project moves on from that in a lot of ways. Cant wait to see it...

It's so great hearing Chloe speak about this. She cuts through the bs of these interviews and says something interesting.
The purists always rant about how the director's vision is killed in MCU films without even watching a single interview. Just look at this. Just look how much mutual respect these two people have for each other. It's not a PR strategy that Chloe keeps posting about how nicely she was welcomed in the MCU. It's the truth!

@@koek1122 agreed. If Ike Perlmutter was never in the picture, the Iger/Feige power duo could've majorly improved the MCU in earlier phases. The Infinity Saga was still great, but Imagine how much more of Chadwick's T'Challa we could've had if we had the Black Panther movie earlier. And if we had the Black Widow movie happen under Iger, the whole Scarlett Johansson lawsuit wouldn't happen because there wouldn't be the situation to cause that in the first place.

I don't like how Kevin "reminded" Chloe that they're live and her overall demeanor and mood suddenly changed from lively to "I gotta be careful." I understand he needs to reel in some of the more enthusiastic people especially the new ones that haven't experienced how strict Marvel is when it comes to spoilers but obviously, she doesn't want to ruin her own blockbuster movie. Also, Angelina kinda spoiled something during her own interview but she's Angelina so...
