Hopefully you found the info you needed to get your job done in my video! This is a fuel vapor valve. Fuel vapors will break down the silicon spray over time and you'll probably have the same issue again. Personally, I'd just replace it and not worry about having to lube it again. But.... if you are pinching pennies, a little lube will probably get ya by. Great tip. 👍🏻💪🏻
Nice! Glad to help. I have a lot of videos coming out on this truck. For some reason when you do the maintenance your self you vehicle means a little more to you and seems to run longer and more efficiently than others. 💪👍
@@ScottiesHobbies I see this part is under 40 on Amazon but I've noticed it's 120-160 at napa, O'Reilly, etc. Do you think the quality is as good or are the local retail prices just high. From your videos I've figured out this is my problem.
@robertwarneck6464 Personally, I would find out what your local part store is selling. What is there top of the line brand? I would get that part number and then go find that part on amazon or ebay and only buy from a reputable seller with many reviews. Or go to RockAuto.com and get one there.
@@ScottiesHobbies hey man, because of your videos I was able to diagnose and fix my problem. The installation of this part was beyond easy and my check engine light went off at 50 miles after installation. I can't thank you enough.
great video but correct if wrong. to test EVap Purge Solenoid, unplug hose when truck is on and wait a few minutes and place finger on hose and IF suctions its good. Thanks and God Bless
Try spraying a shot of silicon lube into the valve, and the hose connections. Usually the valve is just stuck.

Thank you for the share, this really helped me out
Glad to hear my video helped. 🙏👍 but really, you deserve the applause for getting the problem resolved. 💪
Thanks for the kind words. 😊
Since we do our own maintenance this may be useful. Thanks.
