This is my favorite of your videos. No documentary has ever talked about the way in which German people saw the War. And then, so incredibly well narrated and interpreted. Anxiously waiting for the second part!!! 👍😄👍👌
As both a history teacher and a proud Dutchman, no one could ever suspect you of being a supporter or apologist for Nazi Germany. Your perspective is both quirky and informative as well as highly entertaining.
The Germans saw what was considered impossible, the Wehrmacht defeated France in a matter of six weeks, what the Imperial Germany Army was unable to do in four years during World War 1. Even the leadership of the Wehrmacht was surprised. On the other side they started to believe that they were invincible and made mistakes, that led to their downfall.
Only dark subject here is yhe invasion of Poland, Netherlands and Luxembourg. Germany has rightful claims to lands in Belgium and France so it was justified. Tho the circumstances and the background of the invasions of France and Belgium are pretty bad and catastrophic.

I enjoyed this episode very much Stefan. It's been very eye-opening to get the German people's perspective. All we usually get is the same old n*zi tripe. To truly understand history we must place ourselves in the culture of the people and the time being studied. I saw a doc where an English crew were filming right after the war. A very angry German woman being interviewed among the ruins of her city actually said, and I quote: "This never would have happened if you had just surrendered." I wont forget that. Kinda says it all.
but there were NO Nazis in Germany in 1945!! :P Soviet troops in eastern Germany 1945 were amused when Germans approached them looking for jobs and dusted off their old communist party membership cards - pre-1933 ofc. They knew full well even most communists had been pro-Nazi up until the war turned against them. there's a clip from The World At War where a G.I. is being bothered by a German woman until he says "i am a Jew" . the woman was silent for a moment and then said "ah, but you are a WHITE Jew".. the G.I. said he had to muster all his powers of self control not to belt her in the mouth ... :P
Actually i would say there have been quite a lot of German perspective videos recently. And depending on the topic, most videos take both points of view in account.
I’m the only ‘war obsessed weirdo’ in my school more like I like to understand and have my own perspective of history which shapes our world today! And with a channel like this I can further that goal Cheers for the info!
Being interested in history doesn't make one weird. And to my experience the kids who aren't interested in history are the ones obsessed with wars or WW2. I'm a history teacher and in last class few 7th graders who basically ignore the class found black electrical tape and made a moustache of it and then started larping as Hitler...
Nice touch with the “Whataboutism” character😂. The perspectives are interesting. It is very frustrating to see how easily humans can be duped into believing what you want them to believe😮.I guess that is what makes history so interesting is the insight into the events and the psychology behind it. Stefan, in my country, the United States (aka back to back World War Champ. Aka liberator) a particular strain of wild grain was said to be extinct, however several years ago it was discovered that it in fact is not extinct. As a result, scientists engaged in revisionism by saying that it is not extinct. My point is, revisionism is at times necessary.
This channel rocks. It is nice to have a fresh perspective. Whether people realize it or not, the events of WW2 had consequences that are still effecting current events. I just discovered this channel. Well done, sir! I am looking forward to viewing all your content.
when I was a baby boomer kid, every dad on my street had served in the war. My dad was one of the few who was briefly in the navy.; he was a polio survivor who couldn't run or even walk distances, but he talked his way into the navy because he was rehabilitated with swimming. A great grandfather of mine is my closest European ancestor- from the Rhineland, and good with horses, he had the sense to take a job at the Sandy Hook racetrack and emigrated before WW1. (he would have been conscripted into the Kaiser's cavalry!) It's all pretty stupid, especially now there's greater ability to kill and destroy at great distance.
Stuff like this is ALWAYS worth exploring and looking into. I have to admit that I have never seen an argument as to why so many joined the nationalist cause at the start of the Spanish Civil War that I can look at and go.. "Yeah, I can now understand why". But this, this shows how the Germans were able to get behind the war in a way that is understandable and relatable.
Britain's position is a simple one: don't let any one nation become too powerful in Europe. Doesn't matter who it is, that's ALWAYS been British policy when it comes to Europe.
@@keighlancoe5933 you mean Britain wont let "a European country ruled by a dictator conquer the rest of Europe... like Louis XIV, Napoleon, Kaiser Bill and Adolf" then spend over 40 years guarding Europe from the USSR... that had been the position of the major powers throughout the last 5 centuries. no one POWER dominates all Europe..
Guderian's grin was so big I mistook him for Smiling Albert Kesselring!! Loved the troll, not sure if it was a natzi or an ANISOY but keep working it into future episodes. Never heard of the massacre of French West African troops so I learned something. I've heard in the past that African colonial civilians in France and Belgium weren't sent to death camps during the Holocaust.

It would be interesting to know what the British and French troop movements during the Phoney War? Were they sitting on their hands, playing fiddle sticks, or moving troops around in what may be seen as preparation for offensive operations?
If the British had lived up to their end of the deal and put as many men into France in that first 8 months of going to war as it had in 1914, the German breakthrough in the Ardennes would've been just about impossible due to the Allies having a larger strategic reserve. Because the British sent over a small token force, the French had to commit nearly all their forces to the front instead of holding some back in reserve. There was a lot of resentment at how little the British committed itself to the ground war in Europe in 1940. The Americans knew this also which is why once a beachhead was secure in the month after D-Day it poured troops into Europe directly from the states as rapidly as possible so that by October it accounted for over 70% of the allied ground contribution to the liberation of Europe and the British army had been reduced to a small support roll in that effort. The British army was simply too small to play a decisive factor in the outcome of World War 2.
The Nazis always exaggerated the suffering of ethnic Germans. Czechoslovakia and Dresden are other examples. Ethnic Germans suffered at the end and after WW2 in East Prussia, Sudetenland, Silesia and the Volga. My Godson has just applied for German citizenship, through his German Jewish Sudetenland grandmother arriving in England on the Kindertransport. The Poles and people across the Soviet Union suffered so much, and were the largest groups amongst the 50 million + dead.
In regards to the German's feeling towards the African troops starting at 10:50 ... In the early 1990s I met a young woman who had just come from Romania via the newly opened Berlin Wall. She admitted to me that she was very scared of black people. She had never seen any before. So evidently the disapproval of blacks was common in that part of Eastern Europe, including Germany.
Fear is a natural reaction to the unknown. Before modern color film/TV common people were so unfamiliar with and uneducated about the world that its almost unimagineable by the standarts of the internet age.
I don't really believe the Germans perceived the war was forced on them. But I do agree fully they felt wronged from the aftermath of the first war. Of course, we are necessarily talking in great generalities here. The Polish question was, then and now, disgusting and nobody came out looking good, not even the English who could have done more. Still I admire the youtuber here throwing in the topic, its a decent one.
When France fell, all churches in the Reich rang their bells in celebration. This was probably the height of national fervour in the Reich which changed quickly from 1941. It also shows the dubious role of the church in the war and their close relationship to National Socialism.
True that. I have seen a lot of religious folk harp on about how godless communism/socialism has led to so many deaths, but conveniently forget that the fascism of germany and italy happened in overwhelmingly religious countries.
I cant believe you mention the Maginot Line..and the SD..I wishbyou had been my history teacher. My Grandfather landed on Omaha on D-Day with the 29th Infantry..and his path follows the path back to Germany you speak about here. Im literally looking at his campaign maps following the reverse path..its by no means exact..but it struck me. Thank you. From the American east coast
He never talked much about it. As is the case with most of his generation. He told me a few stories when I was young..and going thru his footlocker. What artifacts there are are priceless..especially his campain maps. They call them the greatest generation for a reason.
Internet revisionism of history is a major problem. Its worse right now than ever before. People love to talk about people white washing history, well all kinds of people are taking this to the next level these days due to social media.
I read a book about Rommel. Rommel was very suprised by the chaos in the French army. When he invaded France with his tanks in 1940. A lot of Frenche troops surrender with more tanks and men than he had. The Germans have also won in 1940 by good tactics and better coorperation between tanks, infantery and airforce, Not by better tanks or more troops. Of course I am not talking here about the moral right to invade other countries just like that.
We know France is almost unanimously designated as the Guilty man. I see things differently, the culprits are those who claimed that France could -virtually alone- manage to win against Germany. The balance of power was in 1940 massively in favor of Germany. In 1939 France’s population stood at 40,000,000 and was the oldest population in the world. Nazi Germany’s population totaled some 80,000,000. In 1940 France truly needed a miracle, was France guilty not to get that miracle? The French inflicted nearly 120,000 casualties in 5 weeks on the germans, and destroyed close to a third of their tanks. Unfortunately a 300 mile german advance was fatal to them, whereas it wasn’t for the USSR. (The British and the Americans only fought against 20% of the German army in 1944, at a time when it faced supply issues .) Dunkirk was only possible thanks to an exceptional fighting spirit of French soldiers: "I can't understand how such brave soldiers, fighting in various places at one against ten (sometimes even one against thirty), still manage to find enough strength to go on the assault: it's simply amazing ! I find among the French soldiers of Dunkirk the same ardour as that of the poilus of Verdun in 1916. For several days hundreds of bombers and guns have been pounding the French defences. However, it is still the same thing, our infantry and tanks cannot break through, despite some ephemeral local successes." " "Dunkirk proves to me that the French soldier is one of the best in the world. The French artillery, so feared in 14-18, once again demonstrated its dreaded effectiveness. Our losses are terrifying: many battalions have lost 60% of their strength, sometimes even more! “ "By resisting about ten days to our forces, which were significantly superior in terms of numbers and resources, the French army achieved a superb feat in Dunkirk that is to be commended. It certainly saved Britain from defeat, by allowing its professional army to reach the English coast." General Von Küchler commandant of the XVIII army during the last stand of the french army to cover the british at Dunkirk. "May 18th 1940: the Führer still worries a lot about the southern flank. he's furious and claims that we take the best path to make the whole campaign fail ! The french troops never stops counter-attacking. May 21st 1940: that day starts in an extremely tense atmosphere: reports indicates a serious pressure on the northern flank of the IVth army. The VIth army faces a solid front. May 22nd 1940: our tanks, that are currently fighting in the south, have met a powerful enemy. Our panzerdivisionen suffer too many losses and attack without being required to. Stress is growing. May 23rd 1940: the losses for the tanks of our ten panzerdivisionen reach 50% ! The french resistance is fierce." General Franz Halder's diary, one of the chief of staff of the Wehrmacht

Hello Stefan, it is perfect that you mentioned the massacres of the French colonial troops in this video. It is seldom mentioned in other channels. Already from the beginning, the regular Wehrmacht troops took part in these atrocities. After the massacre in Chasselay, the locals shocked by the massacre built a Senegalese-style Tata cemetery in 1942 and buried there the corpses of the colonial soldiers they found. I am looking forward to watching your next videos. Thank you!
There was some resistance but it wasn't on the same scale the Germans Faced in occupied countries. Some of it lasted for years, but you gotta remember, unlike occupied countries by the Germans, the Germans had no hope. So even if people wanted to resist who were they resisting for? Resistance groups mostly fought to weaken the occupier so someone else could come and save them later, they had no hope/dream of forcing the Germans out. on their own So ask yourself this. "Who was coming to save the Germans from their occupiers?" No one. They had no reason to resist, so even the hardliners who did form some forms of resistance didn't last but a few months to a few years. Even today there is some shadow resistance within Germany, as the Government often does raids on pro Nazi arms stashes now and then over the years, they're rare events but they have happened. So even today, they still exist. On top of that, a lot of Germans welcomed the peace, even if it might be a harsh one. 6 long years of war, and a country mostly devastated, let alone how nasty the Nazi regime progressively became year after year, peace was peace. Some of the reactions by the Allies and Soviets toward resistance was also pretty harsh. Combatants caught out of uniform were liable to be shot and executed by the Western Powers, and the Soviets burned down an entire town in response. One case in the West from a German sniper, caused the local American garrison to evacuate the town, and gave orders for the town to be shelled for hours by artillery. No one was going to put up with it in short, and few Germans had reason to go along with it, whether they wanted to resist or not.

Hey mate, you must have heard this a lot but you are the spitting image of the German actor Stefan Konarske. The resemblance is uncanny. Great video btw.
Many high ranked Germans couldn't believe their luck during the last weeks of the French campaign. They had witnessed the four year carnage of 1914-1918, and the hopeless, bloody attempts to break through. They also faced a French army then that offered fierce resistance at places like Verdun, giving them a great respect for the French. They feared a repeat of the battle of the Marne, in which their panzer division vanguard would be cut off and isolated by a massive suprise French counter attack from the South. They shouldn't have worried.

Glad to hear the opinions of the other side. The victors write history for their own particular audience and cheerleaders. The dangers of propaganda and ignorance are spelt out loud and clear. If what you hear is controlled by the government and media, then your mind will be twisted in the desired direction. During WW2, those who were not white were not viewed as human, but subhuman. I watched a newsreel about the Pacific theatre. I saw American troops aiming flame throwers into caves and saw hapless Japanese soldiers running out covered in burning napalm writhing and screaming in agony. In the world we live in today they are as human just as we all are, but the American audience probably never saw it like that ( until the living room war of Vietnam). However, in many other parts of the world, that sort of prejudice still exists. Thanks for allowing us to see the other side
Glad you found this interesting. History is not written by the victors, but written by those with the most consistent and compelling arguments based on the evidence, backed by a healthy dose of rational logic and passion for debate. The key is not to apologize for any side but to take a firm stand for what's right and what's wrong.

Hitler never had any intention of expansion to the west he definitely was planning for war but not with the west....he stated in mein Kampf that germays future was in the east....furthermore Churchill had always wanted to annihilate Germany for multiple reasons which is why he met with Polish leader and told him not to agree to the corridor Hitler wanted and that if Germany invaded Britain would come to Poland's aid....also there is evidence that the Polish did commit atrocities against ethnic Germans before the invasion....here is from Polish newspaper "Poland wants war with Germany and Germany will not be able to avoid it even if she wants to." - Polish Marshal Rydz-Smigly as reported in the Daily Mail, August 6th, 1939) I do love your videos though I just think things are not as black and white as people think
Although I agree to a certain extent with you (Hitler wanting to go east), some of this sounds like revisionism claiming Germany was the victim while she clearly wasn't.
@@HistoryHustle it was total war I would say both sides were aggressors at times and both were victims at times both sides carried out attacks on civilian populations (although i think most people might be surprised to find out the British were first to do that unless you count the condor legion but don't think that's relevant here) but I don't think it's really fair to call revisionism at the pointing out of facts....Hitler never wanted a war with the west I'm not saying he was a man of peace because he definitely was not I'm just saying its not really true to say British could not accept his peace offer because he would have invaded later. what would have been his purpose? he wanted lebensraum the fertile wide open good farmland to the east and hated communist so that definitely where he was planning on going....also I believe there were 8 peace offers he made to the west in one of them he offered to pull out of everything he had conquered in the west (France Norway Denmark Netherland Belgium) I believe this had something to do with the Hess incident but not sure I'm a bit Rusty but the point is he made it very clear he did not want a war with the west and tried to end it I've also heard it said that's why he didn't massacre the Brits at Dunkirk because it would have ruined chance for peace....I'm sure you understand as a history teacher that to truely understand history you have to try and understand both sides but with the politics surrounding ww2 it has been painted as black and white good va evil and if one researchs the axis side and finds some things don't quite add up then they are called revisionist....and one area I'm sure we could agree is how about the Finn's were they evil Nazis or trying to survive? @@clay8915 It's about Dunkirk. Clay, Hitler didn't let the Brits go. He stopped there for several reasons, such as : his troops were exhausted and needed rest, his tanks needed reparation, he didn't think that it was possible that the Brits could escape from France, he was preparing for phase 2 of the Battle of France... On 24 May 1940 Hitler ordered to prepare the annihilation of the Belgian/British/French troops that were encercled in the French Flanders and in the Artois. He thought that the Luftwaffe could do the job. Hitler would never have admitted that the Brits had escaped just under his nose. That's why he pretended later that he had let them go for the reasons you are describing above. This kind of propaganda is still believed today.
Very interesting. Hitler's take on WW2,which he expressed in his 1941 birthday speech, was that "two nations have arisen in Europe--Italy and Germany--which are challenging the world system, which is dominated by the U.S. and England, and the wealth interests who control those two nations." Now conventional mainstream historians dismiss this and say Hitler was the aggressor. BUT,events SINCE WW2 tend to bear Hitler out. Whenever a socialist regime of any sort rears its head anywhere, the U.S. and its allies try to undermine or destroy it. Examples are Vietnam,Cuba,Venezuela,Libya,Iraq,Syria, etc.(The only reason Trump didn't attack Venezuela is because the Cubans sent personnel in to protect their compadre.) The Baath Party of Syria and formerly of Iraq are basically Arab clones of Hitler's party,as I understand it........On another topic, one of the least-known aspects of the Third Reich is the Night Of The Amazons festival in Munich. This yearly festival was designed to showcase the FEMININE side of Nazism, and featured singing and dancing, etcetera, and was capped off by the finale which had local German girls, topless or completely nude, riding atop parade floats drawn by draft horses. Interestingly some amateur film footage of this event has surfaced on RUclips (part of something called the "Romano Archives"). Just type in "Night Of The Amazons In Munich" to see the clip. All the German boys and men in the crowd seemed to have loved it ! lol I'm sure quite a few souvenir photos were taken. The girls on the parade floats are near the end of the clip.
@@WillmobilePlus So you've studied this, have you? And watch that big mouth of yours. Calling people names could get you into trouble. Resorting to insults is the first sign of stupidity.
@Murl: I'm not so sure what your point was with your reply. "Whenever a socialist regime of any sort rears its head anywhere, the U.S. and its allies try to undermine or destroy it. Examples are Vietnam,Cuba,Venezuela,Libya,Iraq,Syria, etc" This has to do with the Cold War and its aftermath. Furthermore, I do not believe nazis are socialists. Sure, they have some socialist principles, but they deemed socialists as their enemies. Regarding Britain, I think you'll find this video interesting: ruclips.net/video/rV1h_XotlLo/видео.html
@@HistoryHustle Thank you for your reply, but I disagree. The problem here is that most academics confuse the word "socialism" with Marxism. Socialism is not Marxism. So when you say that Nazis "deemed socialists as their enemies",what you really mean is that MARXIST groups were deemed as enemies, and you're exactly right. Marxist groups werre seen as being controlled from Moscow (see COMINTERN),and also they preached class warfare, which Hitler was adamantly against. The Nazi model for socialism was Oswald Spengler's book "Prussianism And Socialism",in which he posited Prussia as the ideal embodiment of socialist values. :Every man served the state and every man benefitted from the state. Orders were given and orders were obeyed. There was authority and there was obedience to authority. This is Prussian Socialism, and it is illiberal and undemocratic." said Spengler. But let's get away from abstract theory and look at ground-level reality. German researcher Gotz Ally,in his book "Hitler's Beneficiaries",catalogues in exhaustive detail just how much Hitler redistributed wealth on a MASSIVE scale in Germany. Another book on this subject is Leon Degrelle's "Hitler's Social Revolution". Degrelle was a highly-regarded SS officer who was NOT involved in any war crimes. Another excellent book, currently suppressed, and only available from an Australian site,is Lothrop Stoddard's "Into The Darkness". Stoddard was the last Westerner to be allowed into Nazi Germany under wartime conditions, just before the end came for Nazi Germany. He was allowed to go wherever he wanted, and talk to whoever he wanted, with very few restrictions. He came away with a very POSITIVE view of Hitler's accomplishments, despite the fact that he was not a Nazi! The Nazis expanded lunch-breaks to two hours, built millions of affordable housing units, taxed businesses 110%,gave almost-free vacation cruises around the world for 5 dollars, and did in fact democratize the workplace--WITHOUT nationalizing private property. A remarkable feat! And don't forget the Volkswagen Beetle, another idea from Hitler! I run into this same misunderstanding when I talk to Cubans. They always insist---because they've been taught----that Fascism/Nazism are the antithesis of socialism. No matter how much I argue with them it doesn't penetrate. I'll answer your other point later......
The best defence is a good offense. Britain & France declared war on Germany. Simple facts, no bias, unlike the twisted narrative portrayed in this account.
Germany invaded Poland for made-up reason. Britain and France had a defense agreement with Poland Britain and France declared war on Germany. No matter how many times the neo-nutsies keep trying to play games with history. Germany was not a poor little victim.
The false flag attack Germany mocked up is widely understood and accepted. Germany's aim however was to reclaim past German lands and or expand. Why didnt Britain and France declare War on the Soviets? They too invaded Poland! And why can at this moment in time Britain and France have vast colonies around the World, but when Germany wanted to bring together Germanic peoples under one Nation, Britain and France have to make it a World War? What was their motive? To protect Poland... i think not.

I'm surprised at the German reaction to the black soldiers. Conveniently they forgot their own former black colonies and what they did to them. prachtig zoals je die "internep revisionist" neerzette!
All good :)

Thanks for your reply, Bill!
Yes, I remember that.
but there were NO Nazis in Germany in 1945!! :P

That's great. Welcome tot he channel. What history are you most interesting in?
when I was a baby boomer kid, every dad on my street had served in the war.

It would be interesting to know what the British and French troop movements during the Phoney War? Were they sitting on their hands, playing fiddle sticks, or moving troops around in what may be seen as preparation for offensive operations?
Perhaps in the future yes. The WW2 (week by week) channel covered this.
Are you planing on making an episode on the yugoslav partisans or the slovene home guard.

@@HistoryHustle You're sure welcome. I made another comment too. This video was so good I just had to. Keep up the excellent work.
Who benefits from miscegenation? Could it be the people who declared economic war on Germany in 1934.
It's hard to say how many Germans in that time actually believed the war was forced on them since there were no opinion polls.
In the future more about the German perspective on the rest of the war.
I cant believe you mention the Maginot Line..and the SD..I wishbyou had been my history teacher.
(The British and the Americans only fought against 20% of the German army in 1944, at a time when it faced supply issues .)
Dunkirk was only possible thanks to an exceptional fighting spirit of French soldiers:
"I can't understand how such brave soldiers, fighting in various places at one against ten
(sometimes even one against thirty), still manage to find enough strength to go on the assault: it's simply amazing !
I find among the French soldiers of Dunkirk the same ardour as that of the poilus of Verdun in 1916.
For several days hundreds of bombers and guns have been pounding the French defences. However, it is still the same thing, our infantry and tanks cannot break through, despite some ephemeral local successes."
" "Dunkirk proves to me that the French soldier is one of the best in the world. The French artillery, so feared in 14-18, once again demonstrated its dreaded effectiveness. Our losses are terrifying: many battalions have lost 60% of their strength, sometimes even more! “
"By resisting about ten days to our forces, which were significantly superior in terms of numbers and resources, the French army achieved a superb feat in Dunkirk that is to be commended. It certainly saved Britain from defeat, by allowing its professional army to reach the English coast."
General Von Küchler commandant of the XVIII army
during the last stand of the french army to cover the british at Dunkirk.

Hello Stefan, it is perfect that you mentioned the massacres of the French colonial troops in this video. It is seldom mentioned in other channels. Already from the beginning, the regular Wehrmacht troops took part in these atrocities. Did the fighting immediately stop after the german capitulation? Or was there some kind of german “resistance” active?
Mostly it did. There were pockets of SS fanatics that refused to surrender, but not many of them and they were mostly dealt with within a month

The key is not to apologize for any side but to take a firm stand for what's right and what's wrong.
the rhineland and the munich conference was germanys right, acknowledging a right is not giving someone something, "thank you allies for allowing us to get back wat is rightfully ours, you are so gracious"
I stick to my claims. Who decides it was Germany's 'right'. The Allies allowed this.
@@HistoryHustle they did, i just wanted to point out that the germans owed them nothing for these "allowances"
A god and interesting video. But how did Germans Perceived the attack of Denmark and Norway. Those country had not been in the First war. Neither had they been aggressive towards Germany. Alf Åberg
Wasn't able to find much on this. If I will I'll make a video on that. Same for Yugoslavia / Greece.
Happy V-E Day to you and all yours subscribers. I liked the video and absolutely loved the part with the Revisionist's comment (reading books ? what for ever ?)
Haha, thanks. Hope you had a good V-E Day as well.
hey I appreciate your channel and mb it just isnt for me (if thats the case thats ok) but is the whole character playing really needed, like just tell the history and if u think u will get bad response just pre-address them quickly normally like military history visualized does it
Please explain.
@@HistoryHustle Going into this overly comedy type of playing the revisionist character gives people who want to do that more energy to rage at you in the comments because they feel made fun off. Which makes the comments less enjoyable and also make the channel look less historical and more like pop history.
You can just pre-address those comments you will expect at the end, or quickly at the beginning normally. This avoids them raging in the comments after, makes you look more serious. Its a net benefit over all.
I understand.
I do want to aid that my channel has been spammed with revisionists comments for a while. Initially I did try to get into a dialogue with these people. However, this turned out to be futile.
I'm sorry, but every time I watch one of your videos I see England and Wales labelled as Northern Ireland on the map behind you. Your content is cool, but the map is weird.
This German map gives the name of the whole country: "England and Northern Ireland". The letters of the latter word ended up over England.
Great stuff👌 But that hustle stuff is cringe.
Please explain.
i mean obviously hitler wanted some kind of war and wasn't forced to escalate it that much but the treaty of versailles kinda forced war on germany
The treaty of Versailles formally ended war but I get your point. A French officer called it rather an 20 year armistice. And right he was.
@@HistoryHustle absolutely you can't humiliate proud people so harshly and expect them to swallow it, in my opinion it was a provocation from the start and they had it coming

Hitler never had any intention of expansion to the west he definitely was planning for war but not with the west....he stated in mein Kampf that germays future was in the east....furthermore Churchill had always wanted to annihilate Germany for multiple reasons which is why he met with Polish leader and told him not to agree to the corridor Hitler wanted and that if Germany invaded Britain would come to Poland's aid....also there is evidence that the Polish did commit atrocities against ethnic Germans before the invasion....here is from Polish newspaper "Poland wants war with Germany and Germany will not be able to avoid it even if she wants to."
- Polish Marshal Rydz-Smigly as reported in the Daily Mail, August 6th, 1939)
I do love your videos though I just think things are not as black and white as people think
Anyway please don't take offense I'm not attacking you I really do like your videos I'm just a simple guy who reads a lot of history thanks for responding
Hahahahahaha
👍
>Now conventional mainstream historians dismiss this and say Hitler was the aggressor.
Because he was, moron.
Yes hitler was aggressor 🤦🤦🙄 just because a country is doing good in economics doesn't mean they're aggressor both of them are imperialist tho
@@WillmobilePlus So you've studied this, have you? And watch that big mouth of yours. Calling people names could get you into trouble. Resorting to insults is the first sign of stupidity.

"Whenever a socialist regime of any sort rears its head anywhere, the U.S. and its allies try to undermine or destroy it. Examples are Vietnam,Cuba,Venezuela,Libya,Iraq,Syria, etc"
This has to do with the Cold War and its aftermath. Furthermore, I do not believe nazis are socialists. Sure, they have some socialist principles, but they deemed socialists as their enemies.
Regarding Britain, I think you'll find this video interesting:
ruclips.net/video/rV1h_XotlLo/видео.html
@@WillmobilePlus Ive actually put forward a cohesive argument, right or wrong i dont mind. At no point did i get personal, try to insult you, or act like a child.
@@WillmobilePlus You forgot to answer why the USSR was left to invade Poland without Britain and France declaring war on them too...
@@WillmobilePlus Meh. Still does not cover post WW2 Poland under Soviet rule... What happened to their Independance. Essentially hindsight just shows the British scheming against the Krauts.
And to my knowledge the British were legally obliged to declare War and assist Poland against any threat. They just opted not to.
I'm surprised at the German reaction to the black soldiers.
Conveniently they forgot their own former black colonies and what they did to them.
In an earlier attempt to gain more "Lebensraum" the German Empire undertook a campaign of racial extermination and collective punishment in Deutsch - Südwestafrika, considered the first genocide of the 20th century.

(ik heb een Britse lerares Engels gehad in mijn middelbare schooltijd, very keen on the "proper pronounciation".)
