- New Orleans native Charlie Andrews demonstrates on how to make New Orleans boiled Turkey necks. We boil the Turkey necks in highly seasoned water that has Zatarain's Crab boil, Cayenne pepper, chopped onion, celery, bell pepper, garlic and lemons until the Turkey necks are tender. We also let the Turkey necks soak for more flavor. This recipe serves 4 to 6 people and it's perfect for small gatherings. Hope you all will give this recipe a try.

my husband LOVES turkey necks and HE cooks them all the time, becus mine aint all that! (🤣). But i’m bout to clown on em’!! Thanks Charlie!! 💕
Oh woww. lol Well hopefully you'll be able to impress your husband with this recipe. Let me know how it turns out. You're welcome, not a problem!
Too funny!! You are about to stunt on him!!! 🤣
Chasity, how did they turn out sis? I know you showed out for the one time, lol...
@@preciousgemstylez1768 they didn’t even want grits, bacon, and eggs the next day! They wanted to eat MY leftover turkey neck hunny!! 😭😭
I stuntd’ on em’ BIG time! 🤣
I usually make "stewed" turkey necks and rice. But will definitely try Chef Charlie's recipe!
Yes Charlie yes Baby lol we use the same ingredients...... I'm 43 a new orleans native so I'm super proud your sharing all the love and good food with the world I love all your videos thanks for sharing
Thank you so much Raina for understanding. Happy to hear that you enjoy my videos. You're welcome my fellow New Orleans native!

Yes absolutely. Thanks a lot Quintin!
Somebody please give Charlie a TV deal for his own cooking show!
I'll pass on that. Thanks Brandon! lol
@@CharlieTheCookAndrews why??
@biegebythesea6775 it's not something I really thought about or had any kind of dream of having a TV deal or cooking show. I do have my own cooking show here on RUclips, and I'm grateful for that. The answer that I gave up above doesn't necessarily mean that I'll pass up an opportunity to do so.
@@CharlieTheCookAndrews oh cos that's what it sounds like. that's what 'i'll pass' means 'i won't do that if offered'.
Yes sir!! Making me think of the being back home and sitting under the oak tree.. we do it often around Opelousas
You ain't lying either bro. Thanks for sharing!
I like the idea of cooking things other than crab with that Zatarain's Crab Boil. Thanks 🤗
Yes absolutely. Not a problem!
I boil my cabbage in it…it’s a great spice
Looks amazing. Why are folks squeamish about eating neck though we have no problem with legs, breasts, or thighs? I consider myself one of those people. Trying to get over it.
Thanks a lot. That's a good question. Certain people can relate to things while other's can be completely confused. Unfortunately, I can only relate to what I have control over. lol :)
I love turkey necks 👍🏿🙋🏾♀️

I love your pounding on the table Charlie. I can imagine they were just that good😋

I am making turkey neck today and wanted to change up my regular recipe. Your video is very simple compared to all the other ones that had 20 steps and added over 100 ingredients 🤣🤣🤣.
Update: I just made these and they were slap yo mother-in- law good.🤣🤣. My husband asked me do he have to wait until dinner to eat them. Lol. Thank you for the recipe.

Your turkey necks are pure perfection, Charlie. Imagine adding mashed potatoes and peas to complete the meal.

Thanks Byron. Adding mashed potatoes and peas with the Turkey necks is a different meal. The way I prepared and cooked the Turkey necks in this video is more of an appetizer than a meal. Typical of the Crawfish boils in New Orleans. We have crawfish, shrimp, corn on the cobb, potatoes, Smoked sausage, pig feet and Turkey necks. All are prepared and cooked as an appetizer.
HEYYYYY CHARLIE!!!!! Hope you’re having a great Saturday 😃
Heyy Crystal. Yes all is well and hope you are too. Thank you! :)

I know right Venus! Only us New Orleans/Louisiana people could relate to this. Thanks for the compliments!
Turkey necks are my fav! Love when they are mixed in a crawfish boil or cooked on the stove top. We usually "stew" them.. I cannot stand when ppl smother them down in gravy. And now you talking about mustard and ketchup??!!!! Oh no baby what is they doing????
That is good to hear. Wow that's something. Not with the mustard and ketchup. lol
Man them turkey neck look good assessment hell all I need now is some greens corn bread and candy yams

Ooooh Charlie, these look gwoood!!!! Putting lemon in your turkey necks must be a NOLA thing. I'm going to try lemon in mine to see how they will come out. Now this is some sooouuulll food!
Crawfish boils is a New Orleans thang. We add the same ingredients you saw in this video. We boil crawfish, Shrimp, Crabs, Corn on the cobb, potatoes, Smoked sausage, Pig feet, and turkey necks.
@@CharlieTheCookAndrews What, no eggs? Where I'm from if you add anything to a boil besides seafood, corn and potatoes, we call a Dirty Pot. Doesn't sound too appetizing, but chile it's some good eatin!
@@yumeccasimms8890 I thought I heard it all. lol 😆 We don't add no eggs though. I bet ya'll be adding that ketchup, mustard and seasonings on ya'll stuff after it's boiled since you say ya'll add anything. lol 😆

Charlie, I've often thought that anyone who had the talent to cook, nowadays and centuries before, would never starve. And, if their cooking impressed those around them, they would be elevated to a standard that would be protected, preserved and cherished and their lives forever saved. You are one of those fortunate people. Thank you for sharpening my southern cooking roots. Much love from California.

Hi Charlie,
Wondering if you can use turkey wings and legs to prepare the same as the turkey necks?
I'm not a seafood lover but love the other items associated with the seafood boil such as the potatoes, sausage, corn I'm thinking making a turkey boil would be different and delicious!
