Canto Liturgico Cristiano Cattolico precedente al Concilio Ecumenico Vaticano secondo, che era eseguito a inizio della Santa Messa domenicale, non nelle Sante Messe festive al di fuori delle domeniche, era per rinnovare le Promesse Battesimale, si aspergeva dapprima l'Altare maggiore, poi il celebrante officiante infine i fedeli dell'Assemblea e nel Tempo Liturgico Pasquale era sostituito da un altro Canto Liturgico col medesimo tema.
