    Thanks, really helpful - especially because Baxi's were recommended by heating engineers, but not enough about them on the web from the company yet. Also good tip relating to where to direct the condensate pipe to prevent it freezing in bad weather.

    Thank you, had one of thee boilers installed yesterday, heating dial only shows temperature range 10 - 30 degrees centigrade, not 20 to 80 as in your video, hence radiators are only luke warm. Installer said it was probably just the plumbing on the heating system. I have now phoned Baxi, explained the problem and they are sending an engineer out. Your video help me determine there was a fault, thanks for posting. Tim.

    You're vid really helped! :) Looking forward to a warmer house to get out of bed to in future! :)

Thnx buddy.

    Whoever said these boilers save money was having a joke. My first quarterly bill was £500! I'm getting the meter checked! The E133 fault was sorted by the National Grid who were called out by Baxi to alter the gas pressure. Wish I'd kept the old boiler that was in the house or had a system like in my old house: a multi-point water heater and no central heating, just individual gas or fan heaters in the rooms. That house was cheaper to run AND had no double glazing.
    I'll be complaining to Baxi soon!

    Small correction about the pressure drop, it shouldn't happen too often. Of it does, you should check your system for leaks. Usually it's a wayward radiator.

  • @Danielcaie92
    @Danielcaie92 11 лет назад

    It's a combination boiler so it can't heat central heating and hot water at the same time. So if you're heating is set to 'on' and you run a bath, your radiators will cool because all the heat is going to the hot taps because hot water is the priority. As soon as your bath is filled though the boiler will go back to heating the radiators. :)

    I have been turning the boiler on and off when needed in winter but I was told not to do that but to use the thermostat instead to turn heating off is this true?
    I am just worried if I did this it would still be using gas as the boiler would be set to heating and water. I am confused!

    Set the thermostat to off, zero or the lowest temperature you can set... The heating will only go on if the thermostat falls below the set temperature, so if you set it on zero or off or the lowest, it won't go on.

    Your the first to tell users about condensing boilers and setting temperatures to say 63c for rads, so many monkeys install and wack it up to over 75c due to undersized rads or clogged systems.
    Condensing mode at return of say 54c is most efficient and can get 93% heat return, if at say 70c your get 83 % return efficiency.
    WEll DONE!

The only problem that I have is that I have to open the hot water tap in the kitchen or toilet sick half way through in order to get boiler hot water indicator to lit and then to kick on the boiler to heat up the hot water. So it is a lot of water waste. So it it possible to get it adjusted so if I open the hot water tap a little that the boiler kick on the burner to heat up the water?
