If the shelf doesn’t work, another idea would be to put a wall to wall bookcase behind the table. It will be perfect to set up all sorts of things even under the table and get stuff off the floor. IKEA has those cool cubbies that would work perfectly for you.

I really love the changes you made as it looks comfy and cozy. You have more room to 💃🏼 dance a little! Don’t let the problems get you down, just tell your little negative voice you’ll think about it all “later” and hush. Smile, laugh and think of the people that make you happy then draw your beautiful fairies in beautiful gardens. Or write about it in your journal and even if you don’t feel like smiling, fake it and smile anyway…..it won’t be long before the smiles are real! From my mountain top in middle Tennessee where the hilltops 💋 the sky, I send you good thoughts and love, Fran

    Hi Wendy,
Been watching you from the very beginning but have not commented. But for some reason I was drawn to comment on this video :-) Put a mirror above your journaling table so that you can see what’s behind you. I think that would help tremendously with the feeling of having your back to the door even though it is around the corner. Mirrors help when it comes to feng shui.
Thanks for all your wonderful videos, I have enjoyed each and everyone especially during Covid era.
Watching from the United States. Take care, stay safe,

The snook looks great! Hang your large mirror (or get a cheap full length mirror) horizontally above your journal desk. The f.s. rule is you want to be able to see what’s coming your way. So happy moving furniture brought you positive energy.

SHOW UP... I needed those wise words today. It's the perfect way to deal with those difficult days; many good things can come from just showing up; you proved it here with all the wonderful things you got done by showing up on such a day. Thank you for sharing this great advice!
Now about the subscribers; you do need those 100 thousand and I know in your case it has nothing to do with ego but the need to protect your channel, and I want to suggest a way to make this come true much faster. When you get to that number RUclips will send you a silver coloured plaque acknowledging your passing that number of subscribers. So already from now reserve a visible spot where you will put it. Maybe it's not your style or ideal decoration but you can see it as the reminder of all that number of people who love you, admire you and support you. So come in every day and look at that empty space but in your mind see this object already standing there and feel inside of you what it represents , and feel great about it and grateful above all; this way it will manifest sooner. Good luck dear Wendy!

I really like the table in its new position, there seems to be more space and it just flows better. Then as you come around the corner from the other section the day bed fit's that space much better. Doesn't feel as close to the oval office. I think it feels as if each space has a more defined role.

Sweet Wendy, I truly love the journaling table in the new spot against the far wall. You are left-handed, so the light is coming from the window to your right...so it makes perfect sense to put the table there and it opens up the space a lot more. If you are wondering about where you will put your lights ...once you have the shelf on the wall above the journaling desk, you mentioned that you want to have it quite high, then how about hanging the lights on and along the bottom of the shelf? Quite honestly I am in love with your studio space, it's lovely, airy, and bright. Yes, I am bonkers and loving every moment of it...it's a good kinda bonkers, so yes, let's be bonkers together :-) I am also an artist and have my off days (fibromyalgia), plus with everything going on in the world makes things really feel unsettling. My studio nook is in our bedroom and I absolutely love our cottage, so for me, it is extremely easy to become a hermit as it is my happy place and where I feel safe and loved. I worked full-time until January and since then I have been focussing on my artist's journey. I have realized on the 'off' days, that it is ok to have a under the covers day...or when I get up and my body especially doesn't feel great, I then get back into bed and say to myself, I will try again later. Strongs to you dearest Wendy...always remember, this too shall pass...just keep your focus on the light bright star. Much love, hugs and light to you and James. You two make an awesome team!

It's been fun watching you and James in your new space! The place where you moved your art journal table is great! It makes that area look so much more spacious. I'd hang a tiny wind chime on the door. Then you'll always have a tinkly sound to tell you when someone is entering. I''d also hang a little mirror over your table so you don't have to turn around every time it tinkles.

greetings from idaho, usa, sweet lady ... i watch all your vids, i rarely comment but felt the urge with this one ... re: journal table placement and then feelings of wonky energies ...
altho i am no feng shui expert, i understand that placement of a mirror can help your back-to-the-door hesitancy ... if you place a mirror in your niche, on the wall to the right of your small bulletin board, you can see what is behind you whenever you look up from your creating ... secondly (once again, i am no expert), many are feeling those energies and interruption of sleep patterns due to solar activity and planetary alignments & light bringing some negative issues to the forefront, so we can see (and hopefully "fix") ... anyway, you are full of fairy magic and you will be fine, or better than fine, as events play out ... special hello to james, i loved his expression after hanging your coat-hook-rack, you are so lucky to have each other ... p e a c e to you both ......

Hello, Wendy! I am like you: sometimes I feel I shouldn’t get out of the house. It’s one of those things I can’t explain. I feel that in that particular day or that particular moment, I should stay at home. And, many times, when I decide that is nonsense and I do get out, I end up regretting it and concluding that, in fact, I should have followed my instinct.
I love to move things around the house. Not only because I like to change the ambience, but also because I like to look for the place where things make more sense or are more useful. Like yourself, I have to sit on the chair, sofa or even lay in bed to actually see if I like that piece of furniture in that particular place.
I am going through a very difficult moment in my life (not an illness) and my house has been my refuge. I don’t feel like going out or see people. I need to cocoon, like you say. Thanks for all the suggestions and advice.
By the way, may I ask why you didn’t put your art desk in front of the window?
I have mine in front of my window and I love that, because I can stop once in a while and look outside. Besides I can open the window and feel the air (when possible, of course, but in Portugal the weather usually allows us to have the windows open for a long period of time). Anyway, I like your art table in that place better than the other. And the day bed looks great in there too. But ultimately it’s you who has to decide if you feel good like that.
Thanks for keeping me company. See you soon ♥️🌈💙🌻💚🌸🧡⭐️💛🐚💗🌳❤️🌞🖤🍀💜✨

Maybe the obstacles are a sign to slow down a bit with your decisions about the lay out of your studio. The right way will come through when the time is right. As you say….’ponder, ponder’. I agree with everyone that has mentioned putting a mirror up on the wall of your art journaling table. I do like where you put your art journaling table. More fairy lights would be great too! Well done for carrying on when you are feel tired and a bit out of sorts! I find it all to easy to stay in my safety of home lately as well. Thank you for the reminder and inspiration to carry on!💛🧚💛

Soooo much better! A mirror will fix the flow and the best advice is always “do what you can to move forward without moving backwards”…James is a peach and you are an inspiration…love the new space evolving and your “process” as you yourself evolve in these crazy times. Blessings all around.

Wonderful new look to make it look more spacious. Agree with previous comments about needing a mirror so you can see what is behind you, one that is maybe tilted so it won’t interfere with your camera work. James, two shelves please. One to lift the items that are at the back of the table. One high up to display Wendy’s gorgeous art. Have a lovely day.

Hello dear girl, I had this same thought about the mirror as the previous comment said. The mirror on the opposite end of the shelves will give the illusion of even more space. Plus you’ll feel more secure knowing you can look behind you. Always keep your door locked and play serene music. I do this and it helps me focus with the right mood. A sweet lamp at the right corner by the window will give even more ambience and extra light on your work. Be blessed in your new space💜

I like where the journaling table is. Here's some suggestions, Hide the boxes or paper reams that are under your table maybe move them under the daybed. How about a cute table lamp, that will warm up the writing area, and better for your eyes and there won't be a shadow. The shelf above would be great, you can add plants on it to hang down, and add some art work and knick-knacks on there too. Just a few ideas.....I do love your voice and all your videos, oh yeah and your wonderful art work.

It looks much better having the table there. Looks like you have more room now. I think a peg board above the table with moveable tubs and shelves to put your art journaling stuff in would give you more work space and it will look so nice. You could paint the peg board white and put your lights above it, mmmm cosy 😌

The journaling table looks so much better against the back wall of the nook. Plus, it gives you a place to slide your large canvas. The day bed looks better in the new location. You can look out the window from the day bed. The rounded edges of the day bed are better so that when you enter the nook you wouldn't run into the sharp edge of your table with your hip (in the old position). You could hang some fabric (maybe some gold print to go with your day bed) using zelcro from underneath the table to hide some of your boxes on the end of the table where you won't be sliding your chair in. Your space is turning out so well.

I agree that your art journaling nook looks cosy and peaceful now. Personally, I like to be able to "turn my back on the world" to get grounded in to my own thoughts and creative zone, so I wouldn't worry about the door around the corner.💗

Sweet Wendy your energy flow is much improved with the journaling table against the wall and the day bed where you have it now. A narrow mirror in the wall off center to your chair would open the space and allow you to see behind you. Being it’s a nook, your back is not really to the door. I love the lights too.
Your plants look amazing and your little special items hanging down so pretty. I would add a pretty throw to the day bed which is a beautiful piece.
I pray your week is filled with promise, peace, creative energy . I too know what not sleeping feels like.
Hello to James and you are both so beautiful together. We all wish we had a James in our lives.

❤ the look of your journal table in the nook & think maybe you could decorate/hang a 🪞over there with your 🧚‍♀️ art & inspo board. Probably would be easier if you hung at least some of those lights off the shelf you'll put up but whatever you do it'll be amazing & comfy when it's complete 🧚 Maybe staggering some 🧚‍♂️ lights over the daybed area with your artwork on that wall would look super 👌 PS. Maybe look into those command strips to hang your lights ✨ 🤔

Love ❤️ the Art Journaling Table against that back wall with the daybed on the side wall. The whole snook works for me also because of the window and how you've set up your plants there.
It is definitely a cozy corner while the rest of the studio is a "work" area.

Wendy you could put a mirror up on the wall so that when your back is turned to your art journaling table you could see what's behind you. I don't really like my back to a big open space like that. And actually you could put a mirror on the wall so when you are on your day bed you could see the entrance door if placed in the right space. I love your new space and your beautiful window and plants etc. I have plants in my studio too and it's just so nice!

Sending you some healing vibes with a sprinkle of Fairy dust Wendy 💫🧚‍♀️. You have had a discombobulating time recently. A lot of it about as you say, sadly. Me too. Its good to be Bonkers. Love the 'Nook'. Its starting to look really cosy. That day bed is gorgeous 😍. Someone mentioned a mirror on that wall to reflect behind?. That's a good idea. It's what feels right for you Wendy though. It's really starting to come together. Looking forward to seeing it when you have completed nesting and titivating. Have a good week. 💕🙏🌈🌺

I personally like the art journalling table in the nook. Even just from a viewer perspective with the angle of the video, it just felt like you were letting us in more. It fits the spot well and looks more organised yet cosy with the lights up.
The day bed to me looks much better along the wall opposite the large window, because it gives you the opportunity to sit, relax, ponder and look out to the gorgeous daylight and your plants across the window.
It certainly doesn't seem to me like you have your back to the door from the nook, particularly because it is around the corner.
Looks so much better. I'm glad you took the viewer advice and changed it around. Hopefully you'll keep it that way 😄🌿🌷

I love the change. I think you and I are cut from the same cloth and that's exactly how I arrange and rearrange.. by feel.
I love how the change opened the space but also made it feel more cosy. I can see you in the day bed facing different directions depending on the day and it feels a beautiful spot for your fairies to watch over your shoulder and dance in the sunlight.

Love the table where it is now. Sitting with my back to a window feels almost worse than to a door for me. Having chronic migraine most days are worse for wear, so showing up for me means getting dressed and doing something around the house. Sometimes even just getting dressed and brushing my teeth. We have a dog, she helps alot because she needs walks at regular intervals. Looking forward to seeing you hanging plants 💚

The art journalling desk has found its home. It was made for that space and looks great there. I agree with other commentors who say to put up a mirror, I like the idea of your large mirror hung horizontally. You could also tie a small bell to the main door handle to alert you to a visitor. Hope you are feeling brighter. Lots of love xxx

I totally agree….. I also have days where I shouldn’t or don’t want to leave the house. Sometimes when you push yourself to, it works but sometimes everything goes wrong and you regret it or you’re glad you did as it made you feel better but on the days you’re really not feeling it, stay home, protect and look after yourself. Love the lights in the ‘nook’ looks nice and cosy.

It would be wonderful to put a large pretty mirror on that wall above your art journaling table so you see behind you and to reflect the sky so it’s almost like having another window there 🥰. You could also place some shelves on the wall on either side of the mirror for extra pretty things to go for inspiration (like crystals and things). I love your videos, you truly inspire me❤️. -Anna

I love the lights above the table and also think perhaps a mirror on the right hand side would be nice to reflect the light, plants and of course the rest of the room. I can see lots of comfy pillows on the daybed and a cute little side table to put a cup of tea on it. I love the tiny shelf you have and want one myself to put plant babies on in interesting containers and display tea cups I inherited from my husband's Nana. You make me want to cozy up my art area too and buy lights! Love you Wendy.

Hello Wendy. Just a suggestion...put something as wide as your daybed bùt taller at the end of your daybed. Then put your pillows at that end. I think it would feel cozy. You could see your desk and out the window. I really like the desk against the wall. Please take care of you and stay safe. Much hugs from Canada♥️⚘🧚‍♀️

With your journalling table facing the wall, for Feng Shui you might want to put a mirror up on the wall so you can see behind you?
I like the table in it's new arrangement, it looks more spacious. I love the way you placed the string of lights. It looks cozy that way. If you put shelves over the table it's going to be difficult to get anything on and off them BUT if you place shelves to the left of the table you'll have easy access to everything AND able to keep the lights where they are.

One more thing...spirit hugs!!!! You seem like you could use those. Deep breath, cup of tea, and just sit. It will all be ok and your friends here on your channel will wait patiently until you have the time and energy to do your videos. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. We need to be good to ourselves and our spirits. ❤
