For the longest time, I thought Arthur inspecting the locket and seeing it change to the photo of all four of them was Lewis remembering the crew again with it only showing Vivi at first since she was his love, but after watching it so many times and how heart-broken he is from it changing, I think the photo transforms to show your loved ones based on whoever touches the locket so Lewis was feeling horrible since it meant Arthur actually did care about him as much as the others.
I think its more Lewis wasnt seeing the full picture and arthurs confused expresion when he saw the photo was him remembering it differently and the photo changed to show what the photo looked like when it was taken

Actually, his artificial arm seems to have some anti-supernatural capabilities. In "Hellbent," he whacked the dashboard of the van to get it going again after it stalled, and at the end of last episode, touching Lewis with that arm is what revealed his identity. In this one, he touched the locket and that's what revealed the full picture (literally).
@@DoctorWortspieler I think in hellbent curse that stoped the car just went from the car to his hand (since car started working, but hand went dead). It might also be the reason why it acted like this in other instances - it was filled with Lewis's magic. He made himself that arm, which might be see as special talent, but it hardly gives him any advantage since all he got is supplement for arm he lost.
I think Lewis suddenly realized Arthur wasn't completely responsible for his death, but it was that creepy witch. Hope they can all come together to help Mystery.

@@ma_de_sa5848 I feel like it's more that the trauma of thinking he was betrayed and the perceived reason skewed his memories. He couldn't remember them as a team, as friends anymore, he only remembered him and Vivi, and that Arthur took her away.

Ghost Lewis thought his future was ruined, but that was partially due to his memory of his past relationships being skewed by emotions. The picture in his heart was never just him and Vivi; it was of the team.
@@Lazy_Spade He's sleep deprived, his friends are supernatural in their own way (his girl friend being the reincarnation of a Japanese Samurai with ice powers and his boy friend a ghost who had been trying to murder him for what might as well be a week or so), he lost his arm to a demon, his second arm is malfunctioning, and his dog is an ancient kitsune who just went crazy and is being controlled by his arm. I'm surprised he took this long to break.

I just realized that Mystery’s shadow gets a new tail every time his soul is damaged, in “Ghost” he had 6 tails, here after Vivi got slashed he had 8 tails, and after Shirimori died he had 9
Considering Vivi is using a baseball bat and we see her "heart" fly away from her body after its smashed in two. Its possible Shirimori is still alive.
The number of tails in folk lore usually means an older and more powerful kitsune, although Mystery is probably older than he looks Also Arthur’s arm possession made a comeback
Well the thing is that apparently kitsunes get godlike power from having 9 tails, so I’m thinking that most of that power is from mystery himself, and some of it is from Author’s cursed arm.

The mystery skulls fandom is an interesting fandom who only comes alive for a short time every 2 years, it will still show signs of life between each 2 year period but it comes back in full force every two years.

Usually I have a weird way of subconsciously predicting when old projects get a new episode. Going back and rewatching a series only to find out the new one gets announced like a day later Well tonight I randomly remembered this series was a thing and rewatched the whole thing, god I still love it front to back. Here's hoping I've done it again!

The story so far: LORE: -Mystery the Dog, once upon a time, was a greedy, cruel Kitsune. We don't really understand why, but in ages past, he nurtured a magical flower to grow into a massive magical tree by dripping his blood onto the plant. -It seems like Mystery killed a samurai, and one of Vivi's ancestors, probably her grandmother, came to fight him as a result. We don't know how that went down, but in the present, Vivi hangs around with Mystery, so it's safe to say there's a story there. The tree, however... we'll come back to that. -Lewis and Vivi were in a comfortable romantic relationship, but Arthur was jealous of them, and felt like a third wheel. "Lefty", some sort of strange possessor spirit, took control of Arthur while the gang was exploring some random cave and, fueled by Arthur's jealousy, pushed Lewis off a cliff. Vivi, exploring a path that led her below the cliff, watched Lewis fall and die (impaled through the heart on a stalagmite), and Mystery, up on the high path with Arthur, tore his left arm off, ripping Lefty out in the process. Vivi doesn't remember what exactly happened to Lewis, only that *something* happened to him, and it's unclear what Arthur remembers, except that he definitely recalls Mystery tearing his arm off. GHOST: -After dying when he hit the rocks, Lewis seems to have joined the ghosts of a Haunted Mansion (and become quite the powerful spirit at that), and in Ghost, we see Arthur and Vivi return to the haunted mansion, perhaps without realizing it, and meet Ghost Lewis, who remembers everything that happened. He seems to be sustained in this Ghost form by his undying love for Vivi, although he seems equally fixated on his hatred for Arthur. Important to note: His life force, as a spirit, is represented by a crystal heart, which in his case manifests as a necklace-locket sort of thing. In the end, Arthur pulls Vivi out before she can remember what happened to Lewis, or anything can be resolved, so in despair, Lewis just sort of fades back into the ether. FREAKING OUT: -Shiromori enters the story, poking around at the cave where Lewis died. Lefty is still hanging around here, but he's not important right now. Shiro is a bonsai tree with a living spirit, apparently the same spirit born from Mystery dripping his blood onto that magic flower ages ago. While it's unclear what happened back then, she wants to find Mystery again, and she apparently has the power to infuse people's life force into flowers she grows, and use these flowers to find the people the life-force belongs to. While the ambient life-force from Mystery in this place isn't enough to sustain one of these flowers, part of Lewis's undead spirit still lingers here, and her magic causes it to manifest a Spirit Flower that leads Shiro to the Haunted Mansion. Here, she finds Lewis's Heart Crystal, still shattered by loss after missing his chance to reunite with Vivi. By pulling life energy from Lewis, Shiro is able to manifest flowers of Lewis, Arthur, and Vivi, and by tapping into their connections to Mystery, Shiro finally creates a bloom strong enough to lead her to him. All this playing around with life energy causes Lewis to manifest, and after a brief standoff, Shiro runs off to track down Mystery, and Lewis is reinvigorated by the life energy from Vivi that Shiro drew out of him. Lewis also leaves, to track down Vivi, not knowing that he and Shiro are heading in the same direction. HELLBENT: -Big Action Sequence #1. Lewis and Shiro track down Arthur, Mystery, and Vivi at the same time, running them off the road through their combined efforts. It turns out the baseball bat Vivi carries around with her is imbued with the ice-based powers her ancestor used to fight Mystery, and she has some level of innate skill with them, so she's able to stand up to Shiro, at least briefly. Lewis, meanwhile, is ignoring Vivi and Mystery's distress to punish Arthur, creating a nightmare-world with his ghost powers in which he reveals his identity to Arthur, then tosses Arthur off a cliff just like Arthur tossed him off one. This breaks Lewis's heart again, though, and he seems to realize this isn't the right way to go about dealing with their past trauma. A lot of the lore we've previously discussed, let it be noted, comes from splash-screens shown in this chapter. THE FUTURE: -The video you just watched, but I'll sum it up anyway. Lewis tries to undo his mistake in dropping Arthur off the cliff, but it's undone for him when Arthur's uncle shoots Lewis in the heart with a shotgun, dispelling the nightmare world (Fun detail: Lewis can apparently only be hurt as a ghost by wounds to the heart). Lewis gets distracted beating Uncle up. Meanwhile, Mystery saves Vivi from Shiro by biting into his leg and drawing blood, revealing his Kitsune form in the process, which draws Shiro to him (She seems to have some sort of mystical lust, or addiction, to Mystery's blood). Vivi, seeing a vision of her ancestor, is able to access more of the power within her bat, and stops Shiro from drinking Mystery's blood, which would probably have had disastrous consequences. Meanwhile, Arthur picks up Lewis's broken Heart Crystal, and looking into it, the scene inside the locket-like crystal shifts from just Lewis and Vivi, to a picture of the entire group. Lewis takes his heart back, and realizes that he hasn't just lost Vivi, but lost sight of his friendship with the rest of the gang. When Arthur and Lewis go to find Vivi and Mystery, having made up, they find Shiro unleashing the full extent of her powers as a living plant, and Vivi matching her with the ice power in her bat. Shiro is knocked down and Mystery has a moment with the two ladies, but Shiro isn't done yet, and gets back up, gravely wounding both Vivi and Mystery. Vivi sees through a crack in Shiro's side that she has a Heart Crystal, just like Lewis does, and with a burst of strength that staves off her wounds, kills Shiromori by knocking her Heart out of the park. Mystery, however, receives no such burst of healing strength, and seems to be dying... but then something goes very wrong, throwing Vivi into the side of the gang's crashed van. Throughout this whole story, as he's watched his past and former friends fight and suffer, wounds in Mystery's own heart having been opening up, unleashing more and more of his Kitsune Tails (symbols of a Kitsune's age, wisdom, and power), and now, as he bears a full nine tails, Lefty has found and corrupted him in his dying moment of weakness. Lewis, Vivi, and Arthur have finally been reunited, in varying stages of supernatural-ness, but as they gaze up at Mystery, now a Nine-Tailed Kitsune corrupted by Lefty... what the fuck can they do now?
Regarding Vivi's bat, if I had to field a guess the paper talisman around it likely has something to do with its ice properties. Also regarding Shiromori, it's hard to say if she's actually *dead* per se; Lewis has demonstrated that a spirit can, in theory, just exist as a heart, so it's possible Shiro's heart is still alive, just... well, quite launched. If that's the case, then she's definitely still alive, but it's unlikely that she'll be able to regenerate her entire body in a timely manner, so she's probably out of the equation for the rest of this saga. Either way, definitely hurt.
I wanted to point out a nice detail. I love that if you look at Shiromori right after she has to knock Mystery, the kitsune, away from her in self defense, she has tears in the corners of her eyes when she turns around. This shows how much she hated that she had done that, and then after Vivi had obliterated Shiromori, and only her trunk remanded, Mystery looks horrified that his (friend...?) Was dead. I wonder what kind of relationship they had in the past
Basically shiromori It was a flower to which mystery gave his blood, it grew enough to become a forest fed by mystery's blood (perhaps enough to become conscious) This can be seen in the images seen on hellbent

You make a good point! That reminds me of 'Ghost'. Where Vivi also technically touched the heart, and thus maybe that's how Lewis first started truly going after the gang. (It's not like he was doing a whole lot of chasing and or looking for them before their van decided to give out in front of the Ghost manor.) And it's clearly shown in 'Hellbent' that Arthur was (and had been, for some time) looking for Lewis. One could say that Lewis in '👻' had no "true" memories from before he became what he is now, and only started truly obsessing AFTER Giving had first grabbed onto (and then made to drop) the heart/locket. ... I could also just be thinking too much into it. Eh, that's just my thoughts on this.

Think about how much animation has to happen! Every frame of animation takes at least 10-20 minutes to draw and they do the smallest animations so it won't look choppy. Be grateful that they care enough about the project and fans to update us nd make the content worthwhile

Funny bit of trivia. The sing your hearing at the very beginning is actually a different song called enemy. And it's for those who aren't a big fan of the animated series 'ghost guy' Lewis talking to 'yellow guy' Arthur. About could you ever imagine becoming someone I'd call your enemy. Its a short song if you want to go listen to the lyrics and how it fits in with the story as a whole. Lewis and Arthur were great friends until the incident in the cave where Arthur was possed by the evil entity which took his arm. There's a lot or story still to come

So, quick guess theory: Lewis' locket reveals the heart's desire. That's why he breaks down crying when he sees how the picture changed after Arthur touched it. He realized that all Arthur wants is the 4 of them together again.
The picture changed to show all four after Arthur touched it with his mechanical arm. The mechanical arm seems to have anti-supernatural/ magic cancelling properties, which implies the picture was always of whole crew, but something tampered with the locket to only show Lewis and Vivi.
I rewatched this basically once a year. I love how rich the story telling is even without words. You probably get comments like this a lot but that’s because your work is so cool!
kinda, to me it seems like whatever happened to him that turned him to the ghost also warped he's memories, but when arthur literally touched his heart they started coming back
@@trainerziv2043 Personally, I'm thinking that there's another player to all of this. Mystery has both a Lavender and an Indigo leak in his heart. I'm guessing that Lewis is one, and that the other helped revive him as well as altered Vivi's memories and the picture on Arthur's laptop (and possibly Lewis's locket as well). Perhaps because of his involvement, Arthur seems somewhat resistant to the mind-wipe. He knows that Lewis is missing, but doesn't seem to know that he had a hand (pun) in killing him. Perhaps its why he was able to see the truth behind Lewis's locket after a few seconds of peering at it.
and we can also see in 4:55 that arthur's corrupted hand (we can see it at the start of freaking out) is now controlling mystery (doggo) sorry if I have bad english
3 times we saw the arm, the first time we saw the arm in 2014. The second time we saw the arm again was in 2016 and the 3 we the arm again once more time it was in 2018 and we see the arm in this video and haunted Mystery.
I really like the plot for this entire series, Lewis comes to learn to forgive and that he doesn’t just love livi but he loves ALL his friends and the dog is just- in another level ig we don’t question the family dog they just quirky like that
Shinomori was crying after she hurt Mystery so I don’t think she wants to hurt him. Only has an addiction to his blood most likely to survive since it helped the forest grow in the first place
Arthur didn’t know that Lewis had died and Lewis didn’t know that Arthur wasn’t himself when he was pushed off the cliff, only Mystery knew the truth of what happened in that cave, due to the lack of knowledge, Lewis becomes a vengeful ghost unbeknownst to Arthur and Vivi till their “reunion” in Ghost where Vivi notices Lewis is the ghost but Arthur is too scared to see that

We already know that 'someone' began retroactively erasing evidence of Lewis's death and even existence, editing Vivi's memories through her eyes. (The reason they were blacked out in the mirror in Ghost) We again see the same color power coming from her eyes to delete pictures of Lewis on Arthur's laptop.

Ghost Lewis thought his future was ruined, but that was partially due to his memory of his past relationships being skewed by emotions. I just realized that Mystery’s shadow gets a new tail every time his soul is damaged, in “Ghost” he had 6 tails, here after Vivi got slashed he had 8 tails, and after Shirimori died he had 9
Considering Vivi is using a baseball bat and we see her "heart" fly away from her body after its smashed in two.
Its possible Shirimori is still alive.
The number of tails in folk lore usually means an older and more powerful kitsune, although Mystery is probably older than he looks

The mystery skulls fandom is an interesting fandom who only comes alive for a short time every 2 years, it will still show signs of life between each 2 year period but it comes back in full force every two years.

The story so far:
LORE:
-Mystery the Dog, once upon a time, was a greedy, cruel Kitsune. We don't really understand why, but in ages past, he nurtured a magical flower to grow into a massive magical tree by dripping his blood onto the plant.
-It seems like Mystery killed a samurai, and one of Vivi's ancestors, probably her grandmother, came to fight him as a result. We don't know how that went down, but in the present, Vivi hangs around with Mystery, so it's safe to say there's a story there. The tree, however... we'll come back to that.
-Lewis and Vivi were in a comfortable romantic relationship, but Arthur was jealous of them, and felt like a third wheel. "Lefty", some sort of strange possessor spirit, took control of Arthur while the gang was exploring some random cave and, fueled by Arthur's jealousy, pushed Lewis off a cliff. Vivi, exploring a path that led her below the cliff, watched Lewis fall and die (impaled through the heart on a stalagmite), and Mystery, up on the high path with Arthur, tore his left arm off, ripping Lefty out in the process. Vivi doesn't remember what exactly happened to Lewis, only that *something* happened to him, and it's unclear what Arthur remembers, except that he definitely recalls Mystery tearing his arm off.
GHOST:
-After dying when he hit the rocks, Lewis seems to have joined the ghosts of a Haunted Mansion (and become quite the powerful spirit at that), and in Ghost, we see Arthur and Vivi return to the haunted mansion, perhaps without realizing it, and meet Ghost Lewis, who remembers everything that happened. He seems to be sustained in this Ghost form by his undying love for Vivi, although he seems equally fixated on his hatred for Arthur. Important to note: His life force, as a spirit, is represented by a crystal heart, which in his case manifests as a necklace-locket sort of thing. In the end, Arthur pulls Vivi out before she can remember what happened to Lewis, or anything can be resolved, so in despair, Lewis just sort of fades back into the ether.
FREAKING OUT:
-Shiromori enters the story, poking around at the cave where Lewis died. Lefty is still hanging around here, but he's not important right now. Shiro is a bonsai tree with a living spirit, apparently the same spirit born from Mystery dripping his blood onto that magic flower ages ago. While it's unclear what happened back then, she wants to find Mystery again, and she apparently has the power to infuse people's life force into flowers she grows, and use these flowers to find the people the life-force belongs to. While the ambient life-force from Mystery in this place isn't enough to sustain one of these flowers, part of Lewis's undead spirit still lingers here, and her magic causes it to manifest a Spirit Flower that leads Shiro to the Haunted Mansion. Here, she finds Lewis's Heart Crystal, still shattered by loss after missing his chance to reunite with Vivi. By pulling life energy from Lewis, Shiro is able to manifest flowers of Lewis, Arthur, and Vivi, and by tapping into their connections to Mystery, Shiro finally creates a bloom strong enough to lead her to him. All this playing around with life energy causes Lewis to manifest, and after a brief standoff, Shiro runs off to track down Mystery, and Lewis is reinvigorated by the life energy from Vivi that Shiro drew out of him. Lewis also leaves, to track down Vivi, not knowing that he and Shiro are heading in the same direction.
HELLBENT:
-Big Action Sequence #1. Lewis and Shiro track down Arthur, Mystery, and Vivi at the same time, running them off the road through their combined efforts. It turns out the baseball bat Vivi carries around with her is imbued with the ice-based powers her ancestor used to fight Mystery, and she has some level of innate skill with them, so she's able to stand up to Shiro, at least briefly. Lewis, meanwhile, is ignoring Vivi and Mystery's distress to punish Arthur, creating a nightmare-world with his ghost powers in which he reveals his identity to Arthur, then tosses Arthur off a cliff just like Arthur tossed him off one. This breaks Lewis's heart again, though, and he seems to realize this isn't the right way to go about dealing with their past trauma. A lot of the lore we've previously discussed, let it be noted, comes from splash-screens shown in this chapter.
THE FUTURE:
-The video you just watched, but I'll sum it up anyway. Lewis tries to undo his mistake in dropping Arthur off the cliff, but it's undone for him when Arthur's uncle shoots Lewis in the heart with a shotgun, dispelling the nightmare world (Fun detail: Lewis can apparently only be hurt as a ghost by wounds to the heart). Lewis gets distracted beating Uncle up. Meanwhile, Mystery saves Vivi from Shiro by biting into his leg and drawing blood, revealing his Kitsune form in the process, which draws Shiro to him (She seems to have some sort of mystical lust, or addiction, to Mystery's blood). Vivi, seeing a vision of her ancestor, is able to access more of the power within her bat, and stops Shiro from drinking Mystery's blood, which would probably have had disastrous consequences. Meanwhile, Arthur picks up Lewis's broken Heart Crystal, and looking into it, the scene inside the locket-like crystal shifts from just Lewis and Vivi, to a picture of the entire group. Lewis takes his heart back, and realizes that he hasn't just lost Vivi, but lost sight of his friendship with the rest of the gang. When Arthur and Lewis go to find Vivi and Mystery, having made up, they find Shiro unleashing the full extent of her powers as a living plant, and Vivi matching her with the ice power in her bat. Shiro is knocked down and Mystery has a moment with the two ladies, but Shiro isn't done yet, and gets back up, gravely wounding both Vivi and Mystery. Vivi sees through a crack in Shiro's side that she has a Heart Crystal, just like Lewis does, and with a burst of strength that staves off her wounds, kills Shiromori by knocking her Heart out of the park. Mystery, however, receives no such burst of healing strength, and seems to be dying... but then something goes very wrong, throwing Vivi into the side of the gang's crashed van. Throughout this whole story, as he's watched his past and former friends fight and suffer, wounds in Mystery's own heart having been opening up, unleashing more and more of his Kitsune Tails (symbols of a Kitsune's age, wisdom, and power), and now, as he bears a full nine tails, Lefty has found and corrupted him in his dying moment of weakness. Lewis, Vivi, and Arthur have finally been reunited, in varying stages of supernatural-ness, but as they gaze up at Mystery, now a Nine-Tailed Kitsune corrupted by Lefty... what the fuck can they do now?
Regarding Vivi's bat, if I had to field a guess the paper talisman around it likely has something to do with its ice properties. Also regarding Shiromori, it's hard to say if she's actually *dead* per se; Lewis has demonstrated that a spirit can, in theory, just exist as a heart, so it's possible Shiro's heart is still alive, just... well, quite launched. If that's the case, then she's definitely still alive, but it's unlikely that she'll be able to regenerate her entire body in a timely manner, so she's probably out of the equation for the rest of this saga. Either way, definitely hurt.

I wanted to point out a nice detail. I love that if you look at Shiromori right after she has to knock Mystery, the kitsune, away from her in self defense, she has tears in the corners of her eyes when she turns around. This shows how much she hated that she had done that, and then after Vivi had obliterated Shiromori, and only her trunk remanded, Mystery looks horrified that his (friend...?) Was dead. I wonder what kind of relationship they had in the past
Basically shiromori It was a flower to which mystery gave his blood, it grew enough to become a forest fed by mystery's blood (perhaps enough to become conscious) This can be seen in the images seen on hellbent

That reminds me of 'Ghost'. Where Vivi also technically touched the heart, and thus maybe that's how Lewis first started truly going after the gang. (It's not like he was doing a whole lot of chasing and or looking for them before their van decided to give out in front of the Ghost manor.)
And it's clearly shown in 'Hellbent' that Arthur was (and had been, for some time) looking for Lewis.
One could say that Lewis in '👻' had no "true" memories from before he became what he is now, and only started truly obsessing AFTER Giving had first grabbed onto (and then made to drop) the heart/locket.

I could also just be thinking too much into it.

considering how fluid and amazing this video's animation was, i am willing to wait a couple of years for another!
Think about how much animation has to happen! Every frame of animation takes at least 10-20 minutes to draw and they do the smallest animations so it won't look choppy. Be grateful that they care enough about the project and fans to update us nd make the content worthwhile

Funny bit of trivia. The sing your hearing at the very beginning is actually a different song called enemy. And it's for those who aren't a big fan of the animated series 'ghost guy' Lewis talking to 'yellow guy' Arthur. About could you ever imagine becoming someone I'd call your enemy. Its a short song if you want to go listen to the lyrics and how it fits in with the story as a whole.
Lewis and Arthur were great friends until the incident in the cave where Arthur was possed by the evil entity which took his arm. There's a lot or story still to come

Since the dog is dead, the dog itself has been reanimated, and they guy that had the metal hand, had his hand chopped of (duh) but his hand roams. Now since the dog is dead, im thinking that the arm will takeover the dog or comeback. Or my mans with the robo arm will go crazy again

I figured our pupper is some sort of Japanese spirit or at least the reincarnation of one. No evidence that he's undead. We also saw the green possessing force briefly bat-shaped in the very first video (in the flashback cave), although that may have simply been another body it was borrowing...

The picture changed to show all four after Arthur touched it with his mechanical arm. The mechanical arm seems to have anti-supernatural/ magic cancelling properties, which implies the picture was always of whole crew, but something tampered with the locket to only show Lewis and Vivi.

I rewatched this basically once a year. I love how rich the story telling is even without words. You probably get comments like this a lot but that’s because your work is so cool!
So was the whole thing with Lewis locket that he didn’t realize he still cares for aruther even after everything he *believed* happened
kinda, to me it seems like whatever happened to him that turned him to the ghost also warped he's memories, but when arthur literally touched his heart they started coming back
he belived that arthur killed him but that corruption was controlling his arm, thats why now he have a robotic arm
It could also be that he was obsess in getting back vivi and he was blinded by that.

Personally, I'm thinking that there's another player to all of this. Mystery has both a Lavender and an Indigo leak in his heart. I'm guessing that Lewis is one, and that the other helped revive him as well as altered Vivi's memories and the picture on Arthur's laptop (and possibly Lewis's locket as well).
Perhaps because of his involvement, Arthur seems somewhat resistant to the mind-wipe. He knows that Lewis is missing, but doesn't seem to know that he had a hand (pun) in killing him. Perhaps its why he was able to see the truth behind Lewis's locket after a few seconds of peering at it.
and we can also see in 4:55 that arthur's corrupted hand (we can see it at the start of freaking out) is now controlling mystery (doggo) sorry if I have bad english

I've watched this sooo much. When does the arm show up beside the end when grabbing the heart
3 times we saw the arm, the first time we saw the arm in 2014. The second time we saw the arm again was in 2016 and the 3 we the arm again once more time it was in 2018 and we see the arm in this video and haunted Mystery.

Arthur didn’t know that Lewis had died and Lewis didn’t know that Arthur wasn’t himself when he was pushed off the cliff, only Mystery knew the truth of what happened in that cave, due to the lack of knowledge, Lewis becomes a vengeful ghost unbeknownst to Arthur and Vivi till their “reunion” in Ghost where Vivi notices Lewis is the ghost but Arthur is too scared to see that

You'd be surprised at how important some of these little details are.
We already know that 'someone' began retroactively erasing evidence of Lewis's death and even existence, editing Vivi's memories through her eyes. (The reason they were blacked out in the mirror in Ghost) We again see the same color power coming from her eyes to delete pictures of Lewis on Arthur's laptop.
