I noticed you didn’t mention the RGB CMOS sensor that Blackmagic developed for 12K. The resolution is the result of their new sensor.
You noticed correctly. I didn't get too into the technical weeds but thanks for pointing that out - might be worth a future video
@@vp-land Copy that!
Hi there, you mentioned the broadcast line doesn’t record. I think there’s miscommunication about this. The broadcast g2 does in fact have cfast slots and all broadcast cameras do have the ability to record an iso file of braw to an external ssd via usb c. Not optimal obviously but they do in fact have recording capability
I got the line name mixed up. I didn't mean the broadcast configuration of the URSA, I meant their Studio line (which I called broadcast) - those don't record, they either go straight to a mixer or you can connect a HyperDeck to record. www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/blackmagicstudiocamera
Difference between the P6k pro & P6k g2 are Inbuilt ND filter and Brighter screen (1500nit)
The title should be changed to Not Every Blackmagic Cinema Camera Explained
I’m have and love the ursa G2. The images are drop dead gorgeous.
URSA is great, super versatile and great images
@@vp-land NAB right around the corner any predictions about a new blackmagic Camera??
BMPCC got an update recently so I'm hoping for an URSA update. We're interviewing them Monday, let me know if you have any questions
Premiere reads BRAW! BM came out with a plug-in over a two years ago
How is no IBIS a downside?
So I just turned on my camera because dude said braw takes up less space than ProRes. On the 6K model you can only do 4K in ProRes and Braw so I just checked and 4K 3:1 braw on a 1tb drive gets around 2 hours and 31 minutes of record time and 4K ProRes HQ gets about 2 hours and 55 minutes. Off the bat we got wrong information. Sheesh.
The 12kK cam is great for shooting VFX shots. Otherwise, it, and the rest of the lineup are proprietary data hogs.
You say the Cinema camera has an XLR input and a "regular" 3.5 stereo input.... Err.... the XLR input is the "regular" input the 3.5 stereo input is a consumer type input. The URSA;s have the regular XLR but no 3.5 mic input.
tomato tomato. wouldn't call mini-xlr regular either. but yeah, i'd say regular XLR should just be standard
@@vp-land fair point, mini-XLR are not exactly standard. BTW when BMD brought out the ATEM Mini you also showed the forum was full of complaints that it had two 3.5mm mono mic inputs. There were LOTS of requests for XLR (even mini XLR) inputs.

No original? Shame on you!
