On Monday the 22nd, I was running some errands in Karen whilst VERY H-U-N-G-R-Y, I saw this joint and remembered the awesome review you guys did about the food, I trotted in smiling like a new billionaire in an offshore banking hall but....men ohhh men.....5minutes in, while sitted inside the restaurant I got no service, no interaction from the service team, I later captured the attention of one of the members and requested for the amazing brisket platter but it wasn't available so i requested for the half buffalo wings with a side serving of avacados, service team went in came with devastating news even that wasn't available...I was disappointed and HUNGRIER, i decided to leave and go get something at Java at the shell fuel station. I think it's important you share this 'grey' experience with the owners to enable them rectify and empower their service teams before their grand opening on Saturday. Keep up with your great initiatives, I celebrate your work.
Fantastic review! BBQ is not always easy to do correctly. Great sides are just as important as the meat. Sounds like this is a place I’ll have to find next time I’m in Nairobi.
You didn't tell us where it is located in Nairobi. I love me some tender meat that falls off the bone. Nyama choma is nice but it can be chewy depending on where you eat. I guess we can say we got our own little Texas in Nairobi.

The sauce is necessary in North America because the meat there is tasteless without it. In Kenya, the meat is tasty whether boiled without seasoning or barbecued without sauce.

This sounds like my dream place. As a Kenyan living in the U.S. I feel if you mixed both, you'd get the perfect BBQ. I don't like the whole BBQ sauce thing on ribs, but don't mind a spice rub. Love cornbread though. If you trade in the greens in the U.S for sukuma wiki, that should also be amazing.
Did you say all that meat for just around 2200 shillings 😲am definitely going to take my family there when it opens, we have so many nyama choma points in the country but to know that there is this with the American touch, there is no way am getting left out😋 at least we get to feel America over the table 😅

So, I was in Kenya in March... I ate burgers at three different places, and I was really disappointed. The burgers were not good. Can you recommend two or three places that serve great burgers? I will be again visiting early next year.
